Peaces of me...

July 30/03

Around midnight Adam just ran out of gas in front of our house so Stacy is taking a can to the gas station with him, he bought her some candy for her efforts.

Monica was upset that Dan came in to our house the other day and told Monica he needed her camera and would bring it back the next day and then never showed up, so she complained about it to Brent. Brent just dropped off the camera. I thought Dan was camping so maybe it was at Alexio's and Brent just took it. Now Brent is gone again! Oh well- Bye Brent!

April is not here yet and it is almost 1am no one knows anything because I wasn't home when she left but she is with people I trust so I just hope she has a lot of fun. April just came home and she was exhausted, her feet hurt her so much because they spent all of the time standing around for the commercial shoot. This is a good experience for her and will look good on her resume.

Because of the Brent's phone call where Sullivan hung up on Brent after Steve said that he didn't want Sullivan there, I talked to Sullivan about his relationships with his friends. Steve is playing the head games, telling Sullivan to hang around with him and then he turns around and says mean things in front of the guys to put Sullivan down. From the beginning I was getting weird feelings about where Steve fit into the picture, especially when Brent was so upset about Stacy and Sullivan. Before anything even happened between them, Steve saw him as a threat to Steve getting Stacy and put up obstacles and little digs about Sullivan. Steve baited Sullivan at the cottage. He had told Sullivan about "wanting to score" that weekend and how everyone else had someone and he didn't. Then Sullivan noticed Steve spending the entire day with Stacy.

It is just putting little pieces together, that is why I say it is purely a feeling I have but I have never shaken it. Steve tried to get me involved with the missing bottle of vodka and that is what convinced me that he was up to something that would affect my daughter.

Jodi told me to watch out for Steve with Stacy a long time ago and said that if she had anything to say about it she would not let Steve be with Stacy, even when I thought Jodi liked Sullivan she said that between the two Stacy should be with Sullivan.

As far as I can figure out he is in the same predicament Jake C. was in 3 years ago. People, for there own selfish reasons don't want to see him happy with Stacy. I told him that things would change for the better when everyone accepts it in time. Sullivan wants things repaired by the time they all head off to school but maybe time is what the guys need, for them to be away for a while and when they come back and see that if Sullivan is still together with Stacy, that it was meant to be.

I said that even with Dan, the way he liked Stacy before, it probably bothered him that Sullivan, his close friend, got together with her. So hopefully time will make it better eventually. As far as Steve goes some of the things he has done, if Brent takes a good look at them, will show Brent that Steve shouldn't go out with her but that is something Brent will figure out by himself. Most important, Brent doesn't like people to point things out to him. Often other people don't see what is happening when it doesn't directly affect them so maybe people will be slow in figuring out that Stacy has a mind of her own and there is nothing anyone can do about it to change what she wants.

James and I went to lunch where we discussed Monica and Cory. He thinks that they should break up, that they are too young. I think they are good for each other and that it would be crazy with her in regards to guys if she didn't have Cory. People respect Cory so they back off. James thinks that they will try sex soon if they don't stop seeing each other. I think most kids have sex too casually and too early these days and that most of Stacy's friends are more experienced than her but they have only had casual sex or experiences and I don't want that for my girls. I want them to have real relationships and if that ends up including having sex I want it all to be free will combined with loving a person so much that this is what they needed to do. If Monica becomes sexually active in the next while I would rather her be on the pill. James thinks that giving her the pill will make it seem that it is ok to have sex but I noticed with Nadia and Stacy that it gave them more control over what was happening. They knew that whatever happened they would be all right and it was completely there decision of how they felt and not that 'I won't do it because I might get pregnant' but 'I won't do it until it is my choice completely'. I hope that I am right.

James finally noticed my new high heeled sandals. Of course I had to be completely NAKED for him to see them but it all worked out!

The Sars concert went on today and all day I thought about it. I really wanted to be there but I have had trouble with my knees and my heels and that is basically what stopped me. James even said at one point James said that we might be missing a piece of history that we really should have gone to. Oh well. I am hoping that I didn’t persuade Stacy not to go, I want my kids to enjoy life to the fullest but I told her about the outhouses at a concert I went to years ago and that did it for her. Brent went, or at least he planned to go, I hope he did and Sullivan used the tickets I got him. I hope they both had memorable experiences. It was interesting watching it on TV.

Trace went to Jodi for a couple of hours.

April had a double header and Monica a makeup game. April pitched really well one inning but the next had trouble getting the last out so Bernie came out and said that this was no time to start blowing it and goofing around. She wasn't and she never wants to be on his team again.

Monica didn't come home from Cory's until after 12am, long after James and I went to bed. I woke up in a panic all worried about her but Brent told me she was in.

I am very tired as I spent a lot of the night up with Brent to socialize with him. The The Doobie Brothers's vehicle and garage was broken into. They went through the back window to avoid the car alarm. Brent told me that he was on the phone talking to Sullivan and Steve thought that Brent had got off the phone and Steve said something ignorant about not wanting Sullivan to come out with them. Brent was on the phone with him and Sullivan hung up on him. Brent asked me if Sullivan was mad. I said that I didn’t know about it but Sullivan is treating my daughter very well and I was very happy that he was the one who ended up with Stacy. I am sorry that Sullivan's feeling were hurt but I am glad that Sullivan heard that it was Steve that said the remark because it is Steve who is always pretending to be Sullivan's friend. Hopefully the guys will soon realize that it is indeed Steve who talks behind everyone's back.

Brent has a temporary job painting electrical pipes at a Toronto School with the Doobie Brothers.

I went out with Stacy to find a comforter only to come across a shoe sale. She bought 4 pair, I bought 2. They were only $15.00 each!

April wouldn't accept phone calls from Chelsea. When I told Chelsea I meant to say she isn't in instead I said, "Sorry she is here right now."

Monica was out with Cory today, he caught for her pitching. She only hit him once in the chin and it really hurt. I am thankful for her sake that he is athletic. They went bowling with Cody and then back to Cory's house. Cory's voice is really changing!

Nadia went out with Natasha for dinner. I guess she is getting known for her blender drinks because Natasha's mom phoned asking for some of Nadia's recipes!

April is out doing a commercial right now for much music right in there studios.

Sullivan told me tonight how he feels about my daughter. I hope that he hasn't said it to Stacy because in the past when other guys have, it has spooked her into running away from the relationship even if she really liked the guy. He moment she hears the "M" word she bolts. I really care a lot for this boy and I wouldn't mind this being the guy who is with Stacy for a long time. He has a lot to offer a person. There are obstacles in the way though, that you need for a more mature relationship. That is transportation; he needs his licence especially when he lives out of town, time commitments (life can't always be about what you feel like doing and I know it is just because he is so interested in her). I think maybe they are seeing too much of each other to be healthy or if he went home at nights he would have a better time with her.

Sullivan wrote to me: I don't want to jinx things but I would be lying if I said I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with your daughter. She has me in a dangerous position right now, there is nothing she can do to make me upset, I have never been as happy in my entire life than I am when I am with her.

July 28/03

James's mom went in early for the operation on her neck arteries and they feel it was a success but the next 24 hours will be critical for her. Lets keep our fingers crossed and pray for her.

Nadia's trip to the Dentist took forever. Sullivan and Stacy walked around for a while and then came and sat with me. Heads were turned when they came in and I whispered to Stacy that it wasn't her that was turning the boys heads, but Sullivan! My daughter has competition! He is a striking looking guy, really nice eyes.

Went to Markham Station for what was supposed to be lunch but it ended up being lupper. Sullivan used to work there and they are interested in hiring him back, they remarked at how different he looks and how much weight he had gained. That is just what he needs... a job, I am so happy. I was worried about them because they are together so much, and I think that Stacy needs more time alone and with her friends to be completely happy. Sullivan seems to be completely happy one on one with her all the time but Stacy needs to grow socially, so she needs more activity in her life than one person can provide.

Monica had a game tonight and she pitched, did well, but she has realized that she needs to practice more to get more precise. With 3 pitchers she is hardly getting the pitching experience she needs. Paul says that he made a mistake having 3 and he won't use the third again to pitch. He said that 2 teams are interested in borrowing 2 players for the nationals or the provincials and they think one of them will be Monica.

I phoned Brent in the evening to tell him about Gramma, he had no idea... that is how little he is at home. He said that he is coming home tonight.

Stacy spent around 7 hours weeding our back yard while Sullivan was looking on, trying to find out how he fit in this scenario. I have noticed over the years, when Stacy spends an unusual amount of time doing a solitary thing, she is withdrawing from someone or something. She pushes out what she doesn't want around her and absorbs herself in work of some sort. I think that Sullivan is not giving her enough time by herself. We bought a whipper snipper rope for $17.00 but James must have put it in wrong because the whole wheel disappeared on Sullivan, the second time we have had problems with it this year.

I got four Concert for Toronto tickets from Jennifer, hopefully Sullivan can use them. This way he will have time alone away from Stacy, which will be good for them. It is supposed to be the biggest one-day ticketed concert in North America. The show will include performances by The Stones, AC/DC, Rush, The Guess Who, Justin Timberlake, Blue Rodeo, The Tea Party, Sam Roberts, The Flaming Lips, Kathleen Edwards, The Isley Brothers, Sass Jackie, La Chicane and Jim Belushi-Dan Aykroyd and Have Love Will Travel Revue.

April was out today with Chelsea unfortunately, they went swimming at Gramma's and April stayed overnight.

July 27/03

It is 6am and I am not able to sleep anymore. I have been having nightmares all night and they are about James and then they turn into Nadia back and forth. I think that I am worried about them and the weight they have. James didn't even go to the doctors after being told about the high cholesterol and Nadia is the same about going to the nutritionalist to lose weight. I don't want weight to be an issue in Nadia's relationship with Derrick and even though she doesn't think it is, everyone wants their partner to look as good as they can. It really bothered me to see that huge slushy the other day when I didn't see her friends or Derrick with one. I wouldn't be surprised if that had over 1000 calories. Nadia always pays attention to detail in other things in her life, why won't she about her weight. April had actually said that she is so much like Nadia, why fight what is going to happen to her and even try to lose weight? Does Nadia not even realize that she is a role model to April?

We went to Barrie for a July birthday celebration, it wasnt the usual Edwards party as Jeff invited a lot of people we didn't know and much of the younger people weren't there. Jeff's own kids didn't come so I don't know what was going on there. We brought Sullivan and Derrick with us. Jeff did have entertainment, a guy who would do much better without the canned music, I don't know about other people, but I rather hear bare music, so you can hear the real talent of a person. Jeff and Steven got up to sing but James and Mark wouldn't. I think James might be self conscious about his weight in front of all those people because he has never been shy of singing in front of people before. James's mom was here but had to leave early, her operation is early on Monday so she needs rest. She said that her head was pounding the other day when she did all the work of the house.

Sue and Jeff house has been basically gutted and modernized but the ensiute bathroom bothered us as you could see someone sitting on the toilet, they have a half wall there and then a mirror facing the stairs.

James and I went to Mark's house since we haven't seen it yet. The house is so much bigger than what they had before. Mark seems almost out of place in the 'burbs' after being in the country for so many years.

Mark said that he didn't feel good about his mom getting the operation, the timing is bad too close to when dad died. That is a horrible thought.

Mark had a little surprise parked in his driveway. A red MGB, threw me back into my memories of another little MGB from many years back. I stood there not even realizing that I was missing the house tour at first. I had many thoughts rush in on me. Thoughts of a boy who could stare me right in the eyes and surprisingly, I could and would stare right back into his. He held my stare, my heart and my thoughts for the longest time...most of my teen years. He finally managed to break my stare and my heart but damned if I could get him out of my thoughts. If only I could have told him the things I needed to say, it might have been different. The last time I saw him without a girlfriend or wife he had driven hours to see me. I wish that I had realized the effort he had already put into the visit and pushed him harder into talking to me one on one. Looking back, I probably was letting my imagination go, I guess he wasn't really interested in love but I wish I had kept him as a friend. If only we had tried. My one and only regret, my only tender spot was this boy, Biz.

July 26/03

Brent came home at 1am and wondered through out the house till we woke up to go to April's Pickering Tournament. He was trying to re hook up the cable outside. All night long I was aware of him going outside with a flashlight. Brent figures he should be able to take the filter off the cable since he took about it in school. He knows what kind of cable everyone is getting and he couldn't get the filter off so he wanted to splice it below ground so the cable people wouldn't be able to see it. We don't want Brent to do it, and in the morning he was still reading internet information about cable. He just needs something to focus on in the night because his mind won't shut down. If his mind is focused on one objective then he won't be thinking of the silly junk he gets frustrated with when he can't sleep.

We were at April's tournament in Pickering. I sat with CarolAlexio, she has been on holidays while her kids were with Rob up north somewhere and she was so lonely that she almost asked Dan to go out to dinner with her! He is still living at her house! She has a couple of more weeks of holidays so Fran and I are going to try and get together with her for some fun.

I couldn't understand James today, he was a grump. We had to get the camera after they won the second game and Nadia and Stacy were going to come back. James had his back up against them coming because he didn't want to feed them. But last night he was willing to go out after 11 to feed four... it was only because the restaurant was closed that we didn't eat. The girls got their backs up and came anyway on theri own steam, thank goodness, because I want them around me as much as I can. After the final game (we got bronze) some people wanted to go back to Mandarin and I asked James if he wanted to go knowing he would say, "NO Way" and he says "yes"??? Then when he realized that it was going to cost $20.00 each and we were bringing Brianna too, he changed his mind. This is not like him at all...give me back my husband you grouch!

Nadia and Stacy went out to the mall today and enjoyed each other's company. Later Nadia went out with Derrick and the girls but Nadia said he was acting weird and went home earlier than he planned.

Stacy and Monica had the house cleaned up by the time we got home and I was so thankful.

Monica spent the day also doing laundry and cleaning her room.

Brianna is staying overnight, so is Erin. Brianna is around so much that I guess I had better learn how to spell her name!

I have a headache today spent lote of time lying in my bed until Stacy talked me into watching Catch Me if You Can with her in my bedroom.

Sullivan was here for the day even though Stacy had to work all day and then at the rec centre in the evening. Sullivan must have been pretty bored considering he got up so late. Except for the conversation where Nadia was convinced that April stole 5 of her flavoured coloured condoms and both of them trying to see if the descriptions of the condoms mixed- a conversation I never thought I would witness. We did however get some swimming in at Grammas for a couple of hours.

April had a 3 hour practice after which she went to Brianna's.

Hi Annie, thought I'd send this info incase your gang is looking for some fun on the weekend.

We are Zydeco Storm. We play from 7 - 11.

Hope we can get together soon.

---------------------------

I was so happy that some of my family wanted to come to something that I cared about! James has always wanted to see my bud Stella in a band so we went to the Jazz festival in the beaches where Stella's band played in the 15th Anniversary Beaches International Streetfest. This is the first band I've seen Stella in, where she wasn't the main singer. She had a metal vest on. It looks like a medieval breastplate and she was playing her chest!

In another band there was Norm Ryan who played saxophone, Pat Quinn, drums in a band called Blue Room.

Derrick got the car after all, didn't go to Jen and David's Jack and Jill shower, but came over here for the evening to see Nadia.

Nadia's jaw is still causing her a lot of pain. It got worse as the day progressed.

Gramma's house deal fell through but we are not letting her know about it. The people who bought it were getting the money from an inheritance and the will is now being contested. Gramma is having an operation on Monday on the artery in hr neck. Toni is getting power of attorney so we don't want her to worry about it at all. It should sell fast because there we a lot of offers in the short time it was up for sale. Gramma needs to concentrate on positive things. We went over to her house and put away all the things we have been clearing out so the house will be presentable to sell.

Sullivan came with us to watch Stacy at Oak Ridges. She pitched tonight, but unfortunately was hurt blocking a line drive. She cut her finger on her pitching hand but still continued to pitch 5 innings and did a great job. The bugs were so bad that James sat in the car and Sullivan bundled up so much he looked like an Eskimo!

April is thrilled to be asked by Brianna to be in a commercial for Much Music next Tuesday. She will get paid $100.00 to cheer like a teenybopper.

July 23/03

It was a very long night last night. I couldn't sleep to begin with and then Nadia was sick with pain in her jaw. I could hear Brent in and out throughout the night. Brent, Sullivan and Dan had a pizza and then left in the middle of the night. Sullivan came home without Brent about 4am, TJ had phoned him to say she was bored and they drove around with her until she said that she had to be home before her step father woke up so they rushed her home about 15 minutes to spare. I was hoping that Brent would be here when we woke up...almost but not quite.

April denies putting the porno on my computer.

The cornrows look so cute in Stacy's hair but she is afraid of her scalp burning. So I bought Sunscreen spray for her but it wasn't the mist, it was the lotion. It was so comical when I sprayed it in her face and it came out a white cream! She looked so shocked and all the kids in her camp just howled with laughter.

James took some of the kids to Barrie with Monica. Barrie has a week team so our kids played different positions to add an element of fun to it but they still beat them 15-5.

Stacy came with me to April's game. All the parents knew each other and all were very friendly, it was fun. Tony thought her rose on her chest was a tattoo and proceeded to ball Stacy out for having a tattoo. It was funny, he took one look at her chest and went on about never getting a tattoo and she hardly got a word in edgewise.

Stacy noticed 15 times lightening in the distance but the ump wouldn't call the game. Tony must have had something to drink, he got told off by April's coach about heckling April, then he yelled at April again, she told him to shut up and then the ump warned him not to say anything. They really didn't need to warn Tony, April can handle herself and I know it didn't bother April.

Brent called me to come bring him home. He told me that Karla and Brandon Alexio broke up. There was a fight between Carla and Serina. Serina has been coming around Brandon even though she has had boyfriends and is bothered by Carla. Serina has even gone to Brandon's and punched Brandon in the face! The girls fought on the front lawn and apparently it wasn't hearing friendly. Carla was furious that Brandon held her back.

Brent noticed Josh in his driveway so he went to Josh's. I told Brent that Marita told me Josh was upset with him. I didn't see Brent again so I don't think he even set foot in our house but I could be wrong.

Doober's mom told me that she was going to take the car away from Doober. His sister told her mom that she couldn't do that to her son because he was an adult and she said that if it is hers and he is in her house not following rules, then she can do it. She didn't say what he did but she is pretty upset with him these days. I told her that I was hoping that it was just a stage that these boys were going through and they would get back on track soon. We reminded each other of a talk we had a couple of years ago when she said that she wished that Doober didn't have a girl friend so he would hang out with the guys. The guys seem to be handling drinking responsibly but without restrictions on pot she is worried about them driving. I am worried about that part too and it seems to be more out in the open, with kids smoking a lot more since they deregulated pot. I am glad that Sullivan doesn't smoke it. I know my daughter doesn't approve of it at all.

I drove Derrick here and back tonight, he lost car privileges for a while because he didn't clean his dresser off properly??? Oh well every family runs different. Unfortunately Nadia said he might not get the car for the weekend and that would ruin theri camping plans but I think that is what his mom is aiming for.

July 22/03

I was going over to Marita's house when Monica popped her head out of the Hast's house to say that she had to make pancakes for the whole gang this morning, 8 people! She says she knows how I feel know because she ended up eating alone.

We were at Gramma's house off an on today, the house is sold and we have one month to get everything out. She got $253,500.00 for it. There were a lot of people there trying to help get rid of things. It is hard because I know every nook and cranny there and almost everything I touch has history that I know of. I hate having her move away from us. She is such a beautiful person.

Brent came home today, it has been days since I have seen him. Josh has been frustrated that Brent is always away from here. He has been spending late nights at Alexio's and sleeping at TJ's. Brent says that he has been spending the time at the Alexio’s too, playing poker and he won $30. I think he said, the other day.

We went out to dinner with the Toni and family, Steven and family and April and Nadia. to Melanie Pringles in Whitby. It is nice to see April and Kate get along so well. James had an argument and won about the bill and the high amount of tax they put on the bill.

Operation Punk

Stacy went to Mel's house to have her hair done in cornrows. She phoned Sullivan about 8 when she got home and I guess it must have sounded like a command appearance for Sullivan to be here to Sullivan's mom, because she took exception to him coming out. There was yelling between the two of them so badly that Stacy put it on speaker for a split second for me to know what Sullivan is going through, the expression on her face, she is having trouble handling the yelling. Because of the argument we weren't sure if it was going to happen or not. It ended up that his mom drove Sullivan out so we had hardly any time to get the hardware, makeup and black clothes on her and get her out of the house.

Sullivan and his mom had driven up when we were in the van trying to leave so Stacy tried to hide by lying down in the back and I told him to go in the house. I dropped her off at the school and the end fo the street and then I told Sullivan that she mailed a letter and she wanted him to go to her. He left but I was worried that she was all dressed up in a way that you could get the wrong impression of her so I ran down the court to make sure she was safe ahead of Sullivan and watched behind a van. Sullivan walked passed right by her and then came up the court so I had to hide, scurry around the van while he passed me. Stacy followed him and then she scuffled her feet to attract him. She finally whistled at him and then he knew it was her. He didn't think it was her at the school because of all the metal she was wearing. It was fun, a lot of work but it was with it. We showed her off to everyone at Grammas and Ken looked at her like he didn't know her and then with distain at how she looked.

Nadia is in extreme pain with her jaw again, she went to the dentist yesterday morning but it started hurting when she ate a hotdog that I cooked at Gramma's. I feel so bad for her but she took painkillers and it really didn't help. Derrick and Kelly were over tonight.

Monica was at Cory's. He said that he wanted to see her at 11 this morning and then kept procrastinating so that I didn't think she would see him.

Brent discovered porn on my computer. It was put on July 12, the only time I have allowed my door to stay open when James and I have been away for any length of time. I know I am right in locking it for sure now. April and Nadia were the only ones home so I am sure it was my curious April. I really have to have a heart to heart with her.

Stacy has another week coaching at baseball camp. They don't need April as the enrolments are down.

April and Monica were with the neighbours for most of the day. They were up in the girl's room and a condom dropped out of April's pocket. Monica was mortified. April said that her friends put it in her pocket as a joke. That would be Chelsea and Tara.

Monica went to the eye doctors and he aid that James should go to his doctors because he could see in James's eyes that he had high cholesterol. That scares me!

Stacy put a red burgundy rinse in her hair in preparation for tomorrow Goth/punk look for Sullivan. She was in my room while she waited for the rinse to set in her hair and she told me that Geoff is still contacting her. That is over 2 years now.

April and Monica stayed at the Hast's house tonight...a whole gang of them stayed overnight! I love this neighbourhood, they are all so close.

April had baseball in Cawthra and we competed well but were unfortunately excluded from the finals. April took a line drive right above her knee while she was on third base as a runner. She smiled and waved to everyone and I proudly said to James "that is the James in her, so brave and tough!" As she went to the dugout you could see her getting upset with tears and then I said, "And there is the Annie in her!" She is black and blue and very swollen.

April came home and submited this post to the softball web page.

Story, or Favourite Select Memory:

Sunday July 20, 2003 Cawthra - I was a base runner on 3rd. The bases were loaded and 2 were out. My team mate Veronica came up to bat. She had 2 strikes on her and was fouling tons of balls. Every time the ball left the pitchers hands I would take a big lead. One time, I was taking a lead and Veronica hit a line drive right to my leg, thankfully I was on the foul side of 3rd base! I went back to the bag and the shock overwhelmed me. When I got to the bag and looked at everyone they were looking at me with their mouths wide open. I had to wave to everybody to tell them I was all right. By the time Veronica got out and I went to the bench I was crying like a little baby, and a ugly bruise had already started. We ended up winning that game and the next but the third game we lost and because of the point differential we got 5th. I have the bruise, big ugly and now swollen!

-------------------------------

We went to Jen and David's house after ball with Steven and Lana. Gramma and Toni were there and they fed us supper. They have a beautiful new house.

When we got home we discovered that Monica, Stacy, Nadia, Derrick and Sullivan had all gone to supper at Casey's in Ajax. They were kept waiting over an hour and received 25% off their bill. I am happy that they all went out together.
Stacy Sullivan and Monica went on a run but it was shorten when they all didn't feel well.

Someone is writing on the school wall and signing Monica's name again. Brandy and Ashley are pretty stupid to think that no one will think there aren't involved.

James and I were awake all night, sick with worry about moving to Gramma's. We never expected the kids to be upset about the move but Stacy and Monica wanted no part in it. I can understand Monica because this is her last year in her school. At 2am I had so much anxiety that I went downstairs to take Pepto Bismo and woke Sullivan up to talk to him about it. By about 4am James and I decided not to go through with it and after that James was able to sleep but we had to get up early for baseball.

James volunteered to help score for softball again today and he got no breaks, worked from 8:30 to 7:00! Poor guy was so beat. It was nice to have Stacy, Sullivan and Monica come over with Caesar to watch some of the Midget Tier 1 qualifiers. Caesar engaged me in a face plant. We all saw him take off after a squirrel and saw the rope tighten up. I wondered with dread who's chair he was attached to and when I saw my chair start to move I knew I was in for a ride. We were at the top of a hill and I went flipping over with my chair down the hill. I guess I should have been embarrassed and hurt but I really felt nothing. The girls kept asking if I was hurt and only when Sullivan complained about rope burn on his ankle did I realize that my leg was stinging too. Later I could feel it pulsating and it turned into a beauty bruise.

During the day I went back and forth to the diamonds and visited Gramma and Toni, they are getting offers for the house. Monica took it very hard when the For Sale sign went up at Gramma's. She said she has spent all of her life with Gramma close by her and she liked it and now even the house will be gone because she made a fuss about moving. I told her that we were all upset about Gramma moving but it was time that she needed to be with someone and Toni wanted to be the one to look after her. It was James and my decision not to move into her house. Gramma is still so good natured and so easy to be with. I will mess her terribly, it brings tears to my eyes knowing that I can't just go a couple of blocks to see her.

April was at Brianna's all day and in the evening and later was hanging out with Chelsea and Tara (Booooo).

James needed to eat, didn't have a bite all day, so we went to the Keg. James went right to bed when we got home.

Stacy went to Coral's for a party. I drove a car load of kids from my house a half a block away to Coral's????

Nadia had a pitching clinic with Mel but he was umping in the provincials and he couldn't make it in time. Derrick came to catch for Nadia. Nadia ended up giving other kids instruction.

Brent worked all night trying to get James Quickens up and running in the Canadian version. He's finally admitting that he does have a sleep problem, he noted that when him and his friends went to the AMC for the marathon day watching movies he was the only one not to fall asleep and he had been awake for 2 days already. It takes him hours to try and get the feeling of falling asleep and then he will think of something really weird and it starts all over, he can't shut his brain off.

Midget Tier 1 Provincial and James volunteered to help, the only one from Monica's team. The pitchers get limited time, sit out until it is there turn to pitch, from what I can see on Brampton maybe every third game. Monica was horrified at them sitting on the bench, she is used to action all the time.

After the games, we passed by James's mom house and realized that someone was there. It was Monica, Cory and Gulshire and the real estate agent had left the back door open, which was not good at all. It got us talking about the house and we decided to buy it, we always told them we would and we want to ease her mind; that it would help Gramma out immensely. We called James sister Toni and she said an offer was already turned down and another one was being presented tomorrow morning. We would have to take out a new mortgage and gut the kitchen and closet to make more cupboard space. The laundry room would have to be moved to the basement so we could have a new bedroom.

We went to Mark and Carrie's and they thought it was a fantastic idea. We had a few brews with them to talk about their Nova Scotia trip. My grandparents house by the ocean was surrounded by dense overgrowth, the cabins were gone and what it left of the house is crumbling. The monument to the Swiss Air Tragedy is very close by. Mark passed by the property many times and would have to find places to turn around the Winnebago to go back to find the old driveway. One time he backed into an old cemetery and was stunned to see the name GIBSON in his rear mirror, it was my grandparents gravestone. I think of Bayswater as the place where my grandfather loved so much and the place where my grandmother became bored out of her mind, just my personal opinion. We loved being there though. It is sad to think of that part of our past as being wiped out of the face of the earth.

Nadia, Natasha, Derrick and Kelly were tuned up pretty good when we got home. We didn't see Natasha she was in piss poor shape so the kids were looking after her. We were instructed not to use the main floor bathroom because Natasha had been very sick, again and again. They were drinking blender drinks and Nadia made them stronger than usual. Nadia tidied up the bathroom mess some but couldn't finish so she will have to clean it in the morning.

The kids were not receptive to the idea of moving to Grandma's place at all which shocked us because we thought that is what they wanted. I know Brent wants to but it looks like he will be giving up on residency here soon...he is never home. I miss him like crazy, we were always so close but he usually is in and out with friends. I barely get to talk to him these days. Sometimes I feel angry about it, mostly I just plain miss my boy.

It made James and I feel sick to our stomachs that we have made a decision that we are so unsure of.

Stacy has a huge bruise above her ankle from a pitch yesterday, it is very tender.

When I asked Stacy for all the Durham College stuff she handed me an envelope and there was only one letter there, nothing to show that Durham messed up as well as Stacy messing up too. Unfortunately she didn't realize that she should keep all her Durham paperwork. I am upset after talking to them to know that nothing I can do will get her in that course because it is overbooked. I was beside myself that I had failed in not overlooking how she was handling the college bit until I talked to Nadia. I never had any hand in Nadia's college entry, I did encourage her to go to College but Nadia said she would have done what she wanted to regardless of what I said so I didn't interfere with what she wanted. It is upsetting for me to think I let Stacy hang up to dry, but Nadia said that is not the case. If Stacy had really wanted to go in the first place she would have paid attention to the letters from Durham instead of leaving them all over the house.

James came home early from Ottawa.

Stacy worked at Kindergym in the morning Academy Camp in the afternoon. She was moody so she went to bed for a couple of hours.

Monica was at Cory's twice tonight, the second time to try and convince him that he shouldn't be jealous of Jeff from camp. Cory doesn't want Jeff talking to her at all. He shouldn't be trying to tell her who she can talk to. This guy is harmless, someone she will know for a short time and them he will be gone.

Took some pictures at Nadia's game, Derrick and Natasha were there.

April had Brieanna over again tonight. They get along very well.

Brent came home for a while and worked on dad's computer. He wants us to get different cable because they shut down some of our channels. I guess we weren't supposed to be getting them. If we want them back it will cost an extra $30. a month!!!

Doober left home and is living in St Catherine's, said his mom is a crazy lady. I told Brent that any parent knowing what Drew has been through in the last 4 years would react, do anything to try to prevent their son from hanging out with him. Perhaps what she did is extreme but she was trying to look out for her son. Brent questioned whether I was defending Wendy but I think that a parent has to try to figure what they are going to do on there own and it all came about because Doober was suddenly hanging out with Drew. Maybe she wanted no part of his lifestyle and kicked him out, or she would rather him be away so that it meant away from Drew, I don't know. Hopefully Drew will keep away from our sons.

I can't believe how much better my knees are feeling since I iced them. They have been bothering me for a couple of weeks and a few icings made all the difference! Thanks Nadia!

Durham College wants to see all the correspondence Stacy had to see if they can get her in.

Stacy pitched tonight, she did really well was involved in double plays. She got hit near the ankle batting. Sheri was the catcher and she had a lot of outs at the plate with Stacy. The loud coach wasn't there and the team was in high spirits. I went and got Sullivan to surprise Stacy and her teammates were saying that he hadn't been there for a while, that it must be that 3 month thing - like losing interest. The whole bench turned to look at Sullivan coming up to the diamond and then Stacy couldn't believe her eyes, turned, left her team to try to talk to him to ask how. The coach whistled to get her attention back to the bench because he was having a team meeting.

Monica and I were walking up to the basketball camp when a guy called her name. When she looked back and then at me- she actually looked scarred because it was the blonde curly haired boy from and he had cut his hair and she realized that he had cut it for her.

I have loads of laundry today- I dread it so much

I talked to the head fo softball and I told her it might not be a good idea to bring the coach of Durham's softball team to watch Stacy's team because they acted as a dysfunctional lot and it might not be what she wanted him to see.

Brent has taken the monitor and lent it to the Doobie Brothers. I told him it was mine and I wanted it back for the girls. He came home for a stopover with TJ and the Boobie brothers for a short while but left for parts unknown.

April called one of the campers a bitch, as a joke today but there is nothing funny about it.

Stacy went to pick up Sullivan at 4:15 but she came back at 5. She had sent him a message yesterday telling him not to come but our computer was down and didn't send it to him until today so they got their wires crossed.

April went to Brianna's after supper and Monica to Cory's. He seems to have the upper hand again, Monica seems to be the one trying to do all the contacting. Jeff from camp contacted Cory on the msn, he wants Monica, boy this kid is forward. Cory is furious with him and also made at Monica because fo it.

Stacy fell asleep on the coach and there was no way she was able to drive so Sullivan stayed the night.

July 14/03

I drove Mel, Stacy and April to Baseball Camp outside all day in 29% weather. Mel and April are volunteering while Stacy gets paid. Monica was at Durham Basketball Camp, where she is now one of the oldest kids and is with the boys. One told her he loved her about 6 times. One boy with long blonde curly hair walked Monica to our van. She told him to cut his hair because she didn't like it, .

I asked the atheletic director if he could help me with getting Stacy into Durham College by stressing her as a baseball player. We bumped into the president of Stacy's league at Monica's game and she had already been phoned.

I have had my annual swollen knees for some time. Nadia finally made me lie down and put cold packs on both knees. Apparently that is what I make all my kids do but I never thought of it for me. It couldn't believe how much it really helped!

I wanted Stacy to come to Monica's game so that people would actually know Monica has siblings, she wouldn't even when I offered her money so I stole her purse so she had to come. She went to Sullivan's in a new sundress. She is finally comfortable wearing dresses!

April went to Lindsay for a game, Mel's parents drove her. Nadia's makeup game was a forfiet, the other team couldn't field a team. It looks like one fo our players broke her elbow at the Brampton Tournament.

Brent worked on James's computer most of the day. They had to by more parts. Our Internet was down most of the evening so Nadia couldn't work on updating the softball web page. Brandon came by and told me that Doober's mother hired a detective to follow Doober for the last month, took his pot from the car and confronted Doober about it. She made him quit his job, I guess so he couldn't afford the pot. She probably hired the detective when she realized that Doober was with Drew, any parent would be concerned. Brandon then said that he wondered if the detective had pictures, referring to what they all did with that girl, he does like to make me raise my eyebrows.

Stacy played first for two games after China was hurt and did a great job. Unfortunately the team doesn't act as a unit and are at each other's throats. Stacy sticks with the nice girls, but the others were fighting so much that Jeff swore at them and called them bitches. Three of the girls came to a game 5 minutes before the game and Jeff played them. James told him that he shouldn't have and how he would have had them each warm up sufficiently to be in the game. James is great at solutions. Stacy got Bronze and then off we went to Brampton to April's tourney. We didn't know what diamond she was at and we found them at the 3rd diamond getting ready to play the championship game. They played Brampton and got silver. April was upset that no one was going to Don Cherry's after and insinuated that if we weren't there then everyone would have gone there.

Nadia had been to her cousins shower, Gramma is even talking better. She is going to sell her house and move to Brampton.

Monica came back from the Scott's cottage and went out with Cory to play tennis.

Brent was here for a while with TJ and Rich. Rich was dressed to kill for his clubbing. I think TJ's friendship (she is his fag hag!) has made it easier on Rich, and the rest of the guys are now accepting his gay lifestyle. I am sure he will have some very interesting stories to tell them in the future!

July 12/03

We spent most of the day in Aurora for the qualifiers for Monica. Monica hit the ball so hard and far was that everyone said if it were hit a little harder it would have been over the fence. In between the games we went to Shoeless Joes in Markham and 16th line. Tom's brother owned it. We ordered but we couldn't eat what we ordered because they spoiled us with free appetizers so that we were too stuffed for our meal. They lost both games so they are out of the provincials. It was disappointing but they are the youngest of the tier one and we came here for the competition and experience. Next year we should be THE team. James and I tried to see as much of all of our daughters in this weekend as we could. James and I rushed directly from the Aurora diamond to Niagara Falls. Monica didn't want to come with us so Scott asked if she wanted to go to the cottage with Devon.

Nadia told us that Brent didn't go to the Indy with Sullivan, surprise eh, actually I had already told Sullivan that he would be disappointed if he expected Brent to come. Brent has not been reliable for about a year now. Besides that Brent never ever forgave him for going out with his sister.

We got to Niagara Falls 15 minutes into the game. Stacy told us that she had only been in about 3 innings the whole tournament. The coaches noticed James and I before Stacy did and it looked like as soon as James and I got there they put her in the line up. She was at bat and just after she saw us she hit a triple! After that she was in the games. We stayed at the college dorm where Stacy was but paid 59 instead of the 80 the girls paid, James talked his way into discounts. We were invited by another team to their team BBQ and even offered us a free room but we had already committed to the dorm. They fed us chicken, pork, salads and beer. We were surprised at how many people we knew from that team!

We got home from a movie with April and Stacy around 1am and Brent was already home. Good to have him there!

Monica went to the eye doctors again and he says that she got a deep scar injury to her eye and we really have to watch it for quite a while. It is the kind that you can wake up one day and you won't be able to see.

Sullivan gave Nadia tickets for the Molson Indy today and she had trouble finding someone to go on short notice. Natasha would have loved to go but she is in Boston. She asked Josh, they have been to hockey games together before so I hope they have a good time and don't get rained on.

Stacy going to Niagara Falls- didn't want Monica to borrow any of her things so she was going to chain her drawers. Hopefully Monica and her had a talk about borrowing clothes and it won't come to that.

Brent went to AMC for a movie marathon with a lot of his friends. He stayed up all night so I wonder if he will make it without 40 winks!

Monica had a softball team meeting and lunch at the coaches at 1.

April went to Brianna's and to practice from there. Its funny that they were on the same team before but this year they have really connected.

Provincial Qualifiers for Monica and they played an excellent game won against Oshawa 2-1 in 9 innings. Monica pitched and her change up were very effective.

We went with Monica to Don Cherry's where we saw a prospect hockey player John, surrounded by beautiful girls who looked older than he did. Adults in the restaurant acknowledged him and catered to him- he is friggin 15, has an agent and a personal trainer- is his life ever going to be warped.

The dog barked all night downstairs until 3 at which time April took over until 4am. Nadia has been letting him sleep in her room but no more. He never once acted like this as a puppy and now Nadia is spoiling him. I took him for a walk this morning and under the canopy of an evergreen I came upon what I thought was a big stuffed toy only to realize that it was a homeless person... he really frightened me. You don't expect anything like that in Pleasantville!

Lunch with Dave and Marita in Ajax. Dave was cutting up the movie Jackass that we were playing in the van to out and out belly laugh watching it!

All the baseball was cancelled tonight so we went from wondering how we were going to get everyone everywhere to nothing.

Nadia went out with Kelly.

We are going to a movie.

Brent didn't go pit to Boston Pizza with his friends, but he played poker with them later.

Monica has been helping all day with the laundry and I appreciate it so much. She is the only one even close to helping on a regular basis now. She even offered to do it today. It is a huge undertaking.

Gramma came by for a short visit, gave us the biggest watermelon I have ever seen! She is speaking so much better but she does get flustered when there are too many distractions. Brent was home and gave her a huge hug, so did Nadia. Nadia has been phoning her all on her own too!

Amy came over after Stacy's work and we watch How to lose a guy in 10 days, it was cute.

Erin and her boyfriend were over here with April in the afternoon. April has Brianne and Erin over for the night, she stayed for their game and then they came for games and pizza.

July 8/03

I had a very disturbing and confusing sleep last night. I basically went unconscious, even though April was still out, I couldn't stay awake. The ringing of the phone sounded like the alarm clock and I was scrambling around to turn it off until I realized that my hand was on the phone. I don't even know what I said to Sullivan I just remember that it was him.

Then someone was in front of me and I was barely aware that they were trying to wake me up, just that I was being talked at. They were saying that Brent was downstairs making a bomb. I realized that was ridiculous and that I was dreaming so I tried to get it out of my head but they kept repeating it so I repeated it back to them. Finally they were spelling the word B O M B and I repeated it and they kept spelling it. Then they said that they didn't want me letting Brent know that they told.

Apparently he was in the kitchen with a water bottle, tape and tin foil. How was I going to confront Brent about a bomb when I found it too hard to believe but I knew it was dangerous? I thought about it and I knew that both him and Steve could get the knowledge of making bombs but why did I have to think about this when I was so confused. Why would they want to blow up anything? Then I heard the word drugs, was someone trying to tell me he was making something for drugs? B O M B was suddenly clarified into B O N G. What the hell does that mean? Is it a drug word that I don't know? Well that was better than a bomb but still not something that I wanted him to do. I heard noises outside and I dragged myself out of bed and peeked through the blinds.

At this point James complained that I was letting light in through the crack in the blind. If this woke him up but voices didn't, then perhaps I had been dreaming about Brent making a bomb? I heard Brent come in and I asked what they were doing outside and he said that they were waiting for Rich to get off work. I told him I was uncomfortable with his friends outside in light of what they did in front of the neighbourhood kids last time.

Finally Stacy came home from the movies with Amy and I asked her what tinfoil, a water bottle and tape would be used for and she said that maybe it was for a funnel. What the hell is she talking about? That made for a rough night sleep.

Did a lot of yard work and laundry for all the good it does, this place is a mess. Stacy can't find my interact card, she left it in the van and I can't do the things I need to do. I guess I shouldn't be letting my kids use it but I always trusted them with it. She should have kept it in her purse.

Stacy went to Sullivan's today. I took her to the bank because Sullivan and her don't seem to know what to do about the check. She had to sign too, that was the only problem.

April had Erin over while Monica had Holly, both of them claimed the basement but I wouldn't get involved so they manage to get along down there.

Stacy forgot to go into work for the last 2 days for the aerobic policing. She missed out on the most money she probably would have made this summer.

Brent phoned asking for a ride but he realized that he should ask his friends for a ride if he wasn't intending to come home for the night.

July 7/03

Stacy and I went out on the town to find Punk junk that she wants to wear for Sullivan because of the Mohawk he dared to wear. It was so much fun picking out the things we normally wouldn't even look twice at. She is worried about Sullivan and money, I think that is one problem they will be having. His payroll cheque bounced quite a while ago because it wasn't signed properly and they need to straighten it out. They need to find things to do that don't cost money until they have money. Sullivan needs a job. Another is that Stacy is used to having a lot of space around her, she needs alone time. I talked to him about it on the Internet but I don't think he quite understands.

ICQ
Sullivan: i am seeing that now, there are times now that she needs more space like i am crowding her, so maybe she is still getting used to it

----------------

She shouldn't have to get used to it. There is a natural space barrier but because he doesn't have a job it is being missed, they are together, maybe too much to keep it healthy. He is with her alot and that could cause a problem. Like I said, Sullivan needs a job.

I got upset with Nadia today. I was to drive her to her game while James went to Monica's game but when I went to drive her Nadia was no where to be found. I checked the house, top to bottom, because I couldn't believe that she wouldn't be here and I kept calling Nadia's cell. I finally found her at Kelly's by checking the call display. She said that Kelly could drive her and asked if I was going to watch her game and I said that I was going to go to a real game. I regretted saying it the moment it came out of my mouth. I went to Monica's game for a few minutes enough to realize that the coaches were playing head games with eachother nstead of sticking to ball. They seemed to all have coached with each other at some point and they want to win for the wrong reasons, they both put pressure on their daughters and it showed on their faces.

I went to see the majority of Nadia's game even though they replaced Kelly with Monica pitching. Nadia pitched well and it was comical watching Charlie try to tell the Midget girls what to do when it is only house league and theses girls grew up on baseball. He was told by a few girls to be quiet.

April went out with Mel, from baseball, and Erin.

Brent had TJ and Steve over in the basement tonight. TJ mentioned how Brent slept all day while she worked. I wonder how quickly she will tire of being the only one working? Brent needs a job.

I want to make Amy a video very much but I am worried what her mother will think of the drinking that is in it. I am very nervous about it. Maybe I can get some pictures from her parents instead of the pictures with booze in them?

July 6/03

Brent woke me up around 4am and James and I basically stayed up with him because he kept interrupting 'something' so we spent the day with him. It was nice having Brent around so much today and we talked a lot.

Some of our boys around here hand a night of sex with a crack head, whatever you want to call her. They spread the word and were joined by others on the second night. I was disgusted to find out that Steve was involved in a group of guys with the same girl, not surprised by Doober or Drew, they already have that reputation and nice girls stay clear of them, but Steve really has to hold a distain for women if he can do those things. Nadia in her Sports - a couple of years ago did research on that kind of thinking and she said it is not an act of sex with the girl but a bonding of sex with the guys, the girl is just a vehicle of the male bonding it is to get intimate with the guys, not the girl. At least gay guys can have best friends that are women but I don't think that Steve really likes women - just an observation I have had about him these days. What is he doing lately, completely changing what everyone always thought about him? It's working.

I wanted to buy the old movie Batman and Brent was saying how stupid it was and I said that some people would like it and he said name one person. I said, "Alex" and he just started at me, laughed and said, "How did you know he likes that? He does!" I know Alex better than he thinks and I have profiled him to Brent for months now, so that was funny.

I bought the movie Jackass for the van and what an asinine movie. I watched it with Stacy and Sullivan and I don't want to admit to anyone that I bought it, what was I thinking? I should have picked music videos instead.

Nadia spent the day working on the softball web page. Later on in the evening she was totally bored, wanted to do something with me but it was too late for me.

Monica spent the day with Holly and then went to Bowling with what was supposed to be just girls and then Holly invited Spencer and lil Mike too. Cory didn't want to go and told Monica to go but then he was upset enough that he didn't talk to her at his house late in the night, he just watched TV.

April went to the movies with the the neighbourhood kids. Marita has told me how much they love having April around them and how good she is with everyone.

Trace just drove Sullivan home and he asked me on ICQ if there was something wrong with her because she seemed upset to him.

ICQ
She just seems like she is always mad at me lately. I don't know... but she just seems like she's upset at something, maybe she was upset at some little things in the past, but whatever it could have been, I either imagined it or she doesn't remember it at all. I don't know, I am way to analytical and I read far too much into things, but usually I am right. That's why I need to talk to her about it, I still think something could have been wrong, but after talking to her even if there was, she is over it and it is in the past, so I can relax. I’ve just been noticing it on and off since the cottage I guess.

July 5/03

We spent all night looking for a hospital only to be turned away becaseu she was too young and they sent us on another crazy search fro Children's hospital. The only people to find to direct us anywhere in the middle of the night were hookers and drunks.

We got out of the hospital with Monica's eye frozen. She was in a lot of discomfort until they froze the eye and she immediately wanted to go back and play ball! She was adamant that she would be able to pitch even though they said her vision was not impressive. Leanne came to the diamond ecstatic that Monica was in the hospital in Toronto so she wouldn't be able to play. She couldn't hide the disappointment on her face when she noticed that Monica was already at the game and very ready to play. Monica didn't want Bessie to know how badly her eye had been hurt but Bessie's little brother heard people talking and told her- poor Bessie . Monica pitched incredibly well. We lost a very close game and were knocked out by one run. Coaches from different teams are talking about Monica's pitching, how it looks so effortless, she is very impressive and that she pitches at the level of someone much older! Monica got MVP again 3 out of 5 games! Some parents were actually saying out loud "Oh please don't let Monica get another MVP". But it ws up to the officials who earned MVP. The last MVP gift was a t-shirt and that is what Monica really wanted and she deserved it.

Phone calls from home with stories of a huge storm that broke our wooden table in the back yard, lifted it right off the deck.

We went home and took the Kelly and her mom with us. While I was trying to sleep April told me that I was expected at a Party for Select, James was too exhausted to go after spending about 8 hours driving in the last 12 hours. Carol Alexio was there, looking very good but unfortunately Rob brought his new girlfriend to the tourney today and her name is Carol too so it was uncomfortable. She told me that Dan gave her a note from his mom to explain what he is going through. Interestingly enough, this is what his dad did too, when his mom left his dad a note he left her too- must be nasty notes!

Stacy and Sullivan were each given $20. for cleaning before we got home, just as we had mentioned to all of our kids, it was nice to see some of the kids try. Stacy had gone to Coral's party where they got into Tequila, Sullivan said he got pretty drunk so James was teasing him about his responsibility to our daughter. Stacy said that he never got out of hand at all.

Brent was disappointed that I questioned whether he would have a party while we were gone but I reminded him that we had asked him not to drive the boat but he didn't listen then, so I hope he understood how important his word is. I want to trust him, always have before.

Monica pitched very well, lost by won again and Monica was awarded another mvp. The American Freedom team and the Quebec team are huge and have mostly 15 year olds. We beat the Quebec team 5-0. Other coaches are very impressed with Monica's pitching, said that they have not seen a change up like hers at this age.

Some of the team went to the restaurant, Mr Beeftek. Monica was hurt during horseplay in the eye with a swizzle stick but that was a closely guarded secret. She didn't want her team mate to know how badly she had been hurt so she quietly took out her contacts and didn't say a peep about it until she went to her room. She led us to believe that her contacts were bothering her until we got back to the hotel. I just thought that she got some dirt in her contacts. As soon as we closed our hotel room door all hell broke loose. They had had a sword fight and then the girl flung the stick and it went right in the center of the eye. Because of her reaction we didn't realize how bad it was and we told her to take a shower and try to sleep.

Phone calls from home about April she was found at the neighbours at 1:30am. She told Brent where she was going and put a message on the machine but Nadia didn't get either and she was worried sick about her.

Bought clothes because April has been wearing mine and I couldn't pack so I bought 9 items. After we got lost in Montreal, got back to hotel just in time to go with the team to the diamonds.

Monica had a Grand Slam and was voted mvp. Leanne has making major errors and was directly responsible for losing our first 2 games. She is putting no thought process at all at what she is doing. We deliberately walk a runner so that we could get to the next batter and then she threw to third when the third base girl had her back to her.

Drinking at park, people seem to think it is all right in Montreal but I don't want to see another carbonated beverage for a while!

The Disco was a huge flop, Tom spilled his beer over 2 parents!

July 2/02

James's Birthday and the kids have given him DVD movies for our new van.

We have realized that April was the last person to have my keys, the ones that I have been looking for the last week. I was really upset to figure that out. I had been blaming the wrong kid for my keys being misplaced and that my keys were actually at Chelsea's, April had left them last week. I want Nadia to be in charge of the keys for my room so she can work on the the softball web page and keep tabs on the beer fridge and bar key. It is a huge concern that it is gone.

We found a cooler that had blue booze in it and since it wasn't my older kids so I have to presume that April took from Nadia which means that she was in the fridge or the locked bar cupboard. I couldn't lock my door and I wanted to because since I haven't been doing it someone dumped a big pail of junk all over my bedroom floor. It is maddening to have them keep doing this to me, instead of messing up there own room they trash mine? Anyway, I got all flustered when I told April she couldn't go out until she got the keys back and then in the next breath I allowed her to go swimming at the neighbours. I wasn't very consistent. I hate to leave when I have such concerns about April but I have no choice. The kids are going to be very upset with her because she is taking their booze, not mine.

We left for Montreal in our new van complete with a New van dvd player, it was a bonus if we bought the van now. We bought instead of leased because there was no interest. James chauffeured us to Montreal while I watched a movie with Monica in the back!

Montreal is chaos on the roads rush hour all day. Hotel rooms were smelly and no one on the team was place on the same hallway at all. Gord decided that he didn't want to go to the coaches meeting, he was too tired, not very coach like so James went with Paul. I waited for James so we could have supper together. James had told Paul that I would wait for him and Paul said that his wife wouldn't wait and they were both right.

Phone calls from home. Caesar had his hair cut by Kelly today. Accidentally, his nail was clipped too close and they didn't realize that he was bleeding all over the house. They phoned at 11 but I told them if he didn't want their attention and he was snapping at them to leave him alone in the kitchen. Poor Caesar.

July 1/03

Well I couldn't sleep, I originally stayed up so that I could drive Cory home. He seems to want to try and be here more often now so that is a good sign. James has already gone to bed he is snoring away.

I was outside again looking for Stacy and Josh. I am dressed all in white and I am scarring the begebbers' out of the neighbours.

It is not like Stacy to stay up late.

Stacy came home at 1:15am. I kept checking outside and she was in Josh's driveway and I waved her home. I was right that she wasn't enjoying herself and she said that she felt like she was kidnapped, every time they were near home he would go somewhere else. At Raglan they all crammed in Josh's truck and turned off the lights so that the cops wouldn't see them and held a flashlight to see. She didn't like that at all. Then when she thought they were going home they took her to John's and Richards and to a car wash, and to Timmy's. I think maybe he was trying to impress her but all she wanted was to go home. They have a completely different lifestyle that is very foreign to her.

Trace and Sullivan went to Cullen Gardens in Whitby today. They brought me home some fudge. They need to find things to do that don't cost too much... lack of funds sometimes equals lack of fun.

Monica had a 4-hour baseball practise but I didn't get her there for the first hour and a half. I took the dog for a long walk, completely forgot about her practice. After Monica went to Kelly's for a swim, for another 4 hours.

TJ came over to help Brent clean up the basement and were talking to some of his friends outside at their cars and Brent and TJ were horse playing. She kicked him in his hand and he thought his finger is broken, he couldn't move his finger at all. James finally talked Brent into pulling his finger into the right position and it stopped hurting him as much. It might have been dislocated. He is worried about his leg that he injured at the cottage, he should get it looked at too.

Rich gave Sullivan a chocolate lollipop on a stick from the gay pride parade and took some weird pictures of it. Stacy was disturbed by the pictures so much that I am removing them from our normal files and placing them elsewhere.

Brent had some people over tonight and unfortunately some of the guys were rolling joints in front of the neighbourhood kids. It really bothers me that they are being so nonchalant about it, I don't want them here if they are going to be like that. When the kids questioned what they were doing Keith turned to the kids and said that April smokes and this made April so upset.

She was also told that all Brent's friends know that TJ cheats on Brent but Brent doesn't believe them or care. April was quite upset she doesn't want to be teased about her doing drugs when she swears that she has never even tried it or wanted to. It bothers her about Brent and what they are saying about TJ because even April has seen TJ cuddling with her old boyfriend. It could be that she might be a big flirt, plain and simple, and this is who she is, and she doesn't mean anything by it. Brent left to TJ's when everyone else went.

Cory came over after Monica spent some time at his place. They are spending a lot of time together and it seems like he is trying to get to know James better. They even wanted me to wake James up so that Cory could have a game of pool with him. The fireworks display at Pringle was where most of the kids ended up this year.

Nadia had some fireworks with Kelly and Derrick at Derrick's house.

Dan didn't show up because he moved into Brandon Alexio's house tonight. Apparently he is fed up with his mother's attitude towards him.
