May 31/03 Stacy is good natured enough to be woken up at 6 to oversee the household. She is the only one that I can be assured will answer the phone if I put her on the couch and she drove Brent home from TJ's so he could work. I think I should do something special for her. Went to Mississauga to Monica's baseball only to get in 1 1/2 games. We sat around for the longest time in the rain and then we all went to Montanna's with the team. Monica and Macey really hit it off. The games were called off until tomorrow. James asked Brent where he slept when he went to TJ's and he said in her bed, where she sleeps. I can't believe they would let a 17 year old sleep in their own house with the boyfriend of about one month. I thought I was having a dream when I heard Brent and James talking about it and it was so bizarre that I didn't even tell James about it. Later, when James wanted to talk about it, I couldn't believe my ears! I talked to Brent later when I was driving his to TJ's about protection and they are using double protection. I guess I should be thankful with his honesty with us when we ask him things like this. April couldn't play in her exhibition game because of her ankle but went to Mississauga to watch her for saying that she wished her dead. Stacy went to Sarah for a party around 10pm. She came home pretty early wishing she had brought Sullivan with her because there were other guys there including guys that Sullivan knew. She is frustrated that the girls can't keep their word. It was only supposed to be a girl's night out so that is why she didn't bring Sullivan. Nadia went to the Blue Jay game with good seats with Derrick. Annie at 5/31/2003 02:46:00 p.m.
Brent went with James today and worked for hours on their system. James says Brent was frustrated with it, it should be not problem but it just won't accept another computer. They won't pay Brent if he can't get it going. They went to Arby's later. I love them spending time together. I put the fear in James today. He was on our front lawn watching the roofers at Dave's and I drove up on the lawn behind him and then laid on the horn. Oh no, he thinks he has to get even with me. April is learning about web pages from Nadia. She is putting party pictures and a hottest guy list, which I was a little worried about. Hi Dan April has made a web page and she has put a poll on it for the hottest grade nine girls and guys. Did you get in any trouble from school when you did this? If so you could tell me any details so I can talk to April about it? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks, Annie Stacy is very upset with her friends tonight. They uninvited Stacy and Sullivan out of their limo to make space for someone else for Prom. The rest of the kids in the limo are all single and I guess they chose the couple as the ones to go! I hope she let them know how upset she is about it but I doubt she did, she never tells anyone how she really feels. She was also bothered that TJ is hanging around TJ's old boyfriend at school and people are asking if she is back with him. I told her that all she can do is make Brent aware of what is going on at school and he will have to decided what he should do. April went out to Tamara's birthday party, this is the first time she has been with a group of girls when there was no one from her old elementary school! I am happy to see her making new friends and she laughed a lot with them. When she was about to leave we asked her if the party was chaperoned and she said it wasn't. We told her she couldn't go and she insisted that she would eat later. I asked her what she thought chaperoned meant and April said it means you eat at the party! Brent went out after work, not home when we went to bed. Nadia went to Derrick's house to clean his room for the evening. Annie at 5/31/2003 04:55:00 a.m. Brent was at TJ's this morning when James went to track him down. James offered Brent's services for a computer problem to a company he represents. I got Brent home and phoned, tried to talk them though it. The are trying to add one computer to their network. Stacy is dropping Calculus. Without the dreaded Calculus she can't be accepted into the University she wants. She won't consider the other Universities that accepted her. Tough reality check, so she will have to file away that dream for now, she can try later on but for now College seems to be the only opportunity. She mailed in her acceptance for Durham College sports Administration. Sullivan wants to go to Sports Administration too, not a good idea and is he only doing it because she is? I would feel better if it were a different course. He entered the wrong program for Durham College just as Stacy did, so I think they should go there and try to get in on the basis of it being a problem with the way it was on the computer. Maybe they will put him near the top of the list instead of the bottom. Still I don't like it that they are trying for the same course. Monica and Nadia at dentists, Shelly had stains removed from her front teeth. Nadia, root canal and was so frozen. Later on when she moved quick her tooth would throb. Baseball, Nadia is on the team that was made up of three kids from each team. She wanted to get away from one of the coaches on the old team because of the abuse she took when she was little and he was her coach. Derrick scarred the begebbers out of James tonight. We were leaving from baseball in separate cars and Derrick ran up to James car window and put his face up to the window just as James looked away from me to the window! Brent and Steve were separated at work, Brent only does dairy and Steve frozen foods. Good. Annie at 5/30/2003 04:39:00 a.m. On the wall at school someone wrote 'Cory hates Monica' and 'Monica is an ass hole. They figure it is Sam, Ashley, or Brandy. Monica and Cory talked about it and the janitor wiped it off. The teacher said he was going to tell the principal. Monica confronted Sam in the afternoon and told her that people had told her that it was Sam and Sam's face went beet red. Sullivan met Stacy at Psysio, he was all dressed up after looking for a job and he looked very good. They were walking down the street and I almost didn't recognize them because they were both in dark clothing and Stacy usually wears beige. They look very attractive together. Sullivan deep fried Perriogies for supper for us. It was picture day for the Rep teams and then practise for Monica. Monica's arm has been sore from the weight training on the weekend and she pitched a couple hundred pitches and then stopped. Kelly told one of the coachs, that Monica's arm was sore and he told her that if she wanted to pitch on that team she would not stop pitching. Monica then had to pitch and couple hundred more. He doesn't know Monica's work ethics, and how she usually won't even tell a coach that she is hurting because she loves to play so much, so for her to complain about being sore, you know it really hurts. Word has it that the dairy manager is trying to get rid of Brent at work. He can't fire him, but he wants him out. That is no surprise but I hope Brent hangs on to it and not let them win. People have told me that when they see Brent there he always looks like he is working fast and hard so I just hope that the store owner sees it. It all seemed to go downhill when Brent finished an evenings worth of work before 4 one day and then hurt his back cleaning the milk shelves. Brent came home after work and went to TJ's around 11pm. I don't like that, he asked me for a ride there but I had already been asleep but now I am worrying about him and I can't sleep. Annie at 5/29/2003 04:14:00 a.m. I picked Stacy up from the movies at the GO Train around 11:15pm last night. She is surprised at how much Sullivan and his sister rely on the public transportation but that is what I did at the same age, it just was part of going out, you never thought a thing about it. Sullivan phoned her about 11:30 and they talked for 2 hours until 1:30. I am amazed that she is doing this, her routine, including sleep, and the order she kept in her life, have always been the most important things to her. Now, to see her drop everything that was essential to her, the order, and just go with or to Sullivan, I find fascinating. At first it looked like it was Sullivan that was so attached because she won't talk about her feelings, how strong they are, but I think it is very mutual. For her to be on the phone this long after they have been out all evening speaks volumes. She only used to be good on the phone for 5 maybe ten minutes tops and now look at her! Yesterday after school, Sam, Ashley, Cody and lil Mike told Cory that he should break up with Monica but Cory said that he wouldn't. They are in the back stabbing stage, looking for excitement. Now Cory has to work against peer pressure. Brent phoned us a couple times today from Alexio's house, he hasn't been home to sleep in 2 days. He finally came home and I made sure that Brent is contributing to TJ's household somehow if he is going to be there that much. Brent said that he is and he is going to be helping put up drywall. What is he making a bedroom for himself there? He laughed at that. Morgan popped in for the evening, said he is mad that we missed Heather and his birthday. I am seeing this situation from both sides; Brent and Sullivan are doing the same thing. I know Sullivan's mom must feel that he is just gone, not being a part of her family but he is contributing to our family just as Brent is over at TJ's. I found out today that Sullivan put in some hours helping at his house all day today, so I was happy to hear that. Now I just worry about Stacy and Sullivan's money situation, they are both on limited funds and I hope they are both not over extending themselves financially, well I know they are. Especially with Prom, that will cost a lot for both of them and Sullivan has a credit card. It is good to establish credit but easy to ring up and pay only the interest. He will have to work on that soon, but in the meantime I hope they learn to have fun without spending too much. Joe's team beat us again and it doesn't bother me a bit, if we have to lose, we still have a strong attachment to those players and Joe. Monica pitched and was pulled in the last inning with 2 out and Sheena hitting all three times. It was tied when they pulled her. The other 2 pitchers were walked 4 runners in. Annie at 5/28/2003 04:30:00 a.m. Brent didn't come home from TJ's last night, we didn't see him all day. He asked for a ride to the mall in the evening but we had baseball. I talked to Stacy about her commitment to her post secondary education and she is now realizing that she has not concentrated at all on it, hasn't replied to anything so she has decided she will go to Durham. I don't think she gave it a thought; she has been so swept up in Sullivan. She phoned Durham and she found out she should have replied in mid April so they are sending her a letter and she will be on a waiting list. The kids were also upset that she didn't help with changing the bedrooms. She was cleaning her room until Sullivan phoned to invite her to the movies with his sister and Stacy wants very much to meet her so away she went!!! April fell at school and has twisted her ankle, she said she fell right in front of two hot guys so she is out of sports for the next couple of days. April is enjoying the TV in her new room. I went to see a play at O'Neil with Monica's class and the performance was late starting so we had to leave before the ending since the buses threatened to leave. On the way out a high school student told us that we had already missed the bus and instead of just laughing him off the Creature told him to grow up. He followed us out mimicking her "grow up." I was in the school a Teachers aid, told me how well behaved, polite and quiet Monica was in school and asked if she was like that at home. We just stared at each other and I said, "Is that how Tammy is at home?" We both know that kids that are that competitive can't be that way at home, that frustration often gets the best or worst of them at home so we laughed about it. Mr. H remarked how impressed he is with Monica excelling academically and how happy he is with her. He is using her as he would an adult, when he has a problem with one of the kids, usually Brandy, he talks to her about it. That is putting a lot on Monica's shoulders. April, Monica and Nadia took Caesar over to Gramma's and April insisted that she be the first one in the water, she wanted to beat her cousin in this year. Monica went in too. The temperature was 63 degrees! burrrrr. James freaked when he thought Monica was going to be late for baseball and then came back and got me. Joe's team beat Monica's team and it didn't affect Monica’s temperament at all, she was singing to the top of her lungs in the car ride home, so I was happy to see that. Maria, the pitcher that James recommended for Joe's team and we suggested pitching lesson to last fall when she had a bad season, is doing fantastic! She has a mean fast inside pitch. Monica is very sore in the shoulder and chest area from working with the weights yesterday. No way will she tell the coach. What would Don Cherry say about that? Annie at 5/27/2003 04:43:00 a.m. Monica kept in contact with me from Cory's, phoned me when she was being driven home so I let her stay out longer. She came home happy with a picture of Cory with a painted face, they had a lot of fun. James and I walked the dog; it is still soaking wet in the park so we have Caesar run between us. When we got home James went to his office and there was Stacy snuggled up in a makeshift bed with Sullivan. I know she was in her own bed this morning but James told them, that he didn't want to see anyone in that circumstance. Speacking of those circumstances the Doobie brothers told me that TJ's mom has walked in on TJ and Brent in a sexual entanglement and acted like evething was normal. I picked Brent up from TJ's in the morning, so he could work at 12. TJ had a few drinks last night and was passing out as she was walking but straightened up while they were at Jodi's party. Brent went to both Jodi's and Alexio's party. Colin told me this morning that he wanted to go to Jodi's after he heard about the funny video but he couldn't get a ride there from Alexio's. Him and Sullivan don't see eye to eye, had some disagreements in Cadets so it is just as well that he didn't show up. Finally, we moved the girls bedrooms; Monica with Stacy and April with Nadia. Stacy didn't participate very well, which surprised me, but Monica worked all day on it even when Holly was here. We bought a deep fryer today, cook Sullivan showed us how to use it. It was half price so we were pretty happy considering we were willing to pay $179.00 Brent doesn't think he will get full time hours at No Frills. The dairy manager doesn't like him because he doesn't take the temper tantrums and the blaming his manager does. He says that he is not going to accept blame when he didn't do what he is accused of. Brent explained to his manager the difference between them, that Brent is the age he is yet his boss is over 40 and he still works there. I don't think Brent can work there, he can't keep his brain shut down and just do the Joe job. He is a good worker but when Brent doesn't feel that he is treated fairly he will fight back, always has. Steve is able to take the crap and kind of buckles, becoming a yes man, something that Brent says he can't do himself. I don't think that Brent admires that quality in Steve though. I believe that Steve has been undermining Brent so that he could get back to reglar hours and take over the summer position himself. All this school term he has been wroking minimum shifts, to the point where they wanted to transfer him to a different department. To get the summer hours he would have to put down Brent to make himself look good. Monica went with Holly to the rec centre to work out and over did it with the weights. She is hurting. Stacy and Sullivan were together again all day, all weekend in fact, looked pretty happy. They went grocery shopping for me which I love because I appreciate new and different kinds of foods. What we keep buying can be so boring, like a food rut and Sullivan didn't disappoint, he brought home mangoes. They left here early, went to the waterfront and she came back alone late. I couldn't help but smile at her because she had a look on her face ;o) Annie at 5/26/2003 04:14:00 a.m. Nadia's Root canal is infected so I stayed home from the euchre party to look after her. Mark wrote her 2 prescriptions, which we tried to fill at 2 different Shoppers. Nadia was pretty out of it, stoned on the medication and Derrick stayed with her in the evening. Nadia told me that Derrick's mom is talking about them marrying, says that it is inevitable. Chelsea and Tara were over, I find it very hard to talk to them aside from saying hello. April left about 11:30 to stay at Chelsea's house. Gramma and Grammie were both here at the same time today. There were two lawn ornaments in my car today, obviously the stealing ornaments is not over, and it is getting annoying, James and I both talked to Stacy about it. Last week I actually told Sullivan that I must have got this cute little doggie for Christmas and I thought I was losing it because I couldn't remember getting it for Christmas. It turns out it was a part of that weekend where they put many of them at a bus stop all lined up. I suggested the old stand by Nickey, Nickey Nine Doors if they want to be that juvenile. Brent got a phone call at 9 in the morning from work asking Brent to come in 2 hours early. Brent just shook his head, he had pointed out earlier that he usually comes in for 10 on that shift and that they hadn't covered that time enough and he was basically told to mind his own business. Now they phone to eat theri own words to say there was a mistake on the timing. I saw Steve's fat lip, he hurt it at Ball hockey a few days ago. Steve has been seeing Robin while Adam is away on holidays while she is house sitting for Adam. No matter how little Brent's friends think of Robin these days, Steve should not even be anywhere near her, when everyone can see she is making plays for him, even at Brent's birthday party, she was all over Steve. Steve is thinking with the wrong head or maybe being popular with her has gone to his head, I don't know. Steve called in sick the other day and you can just imagine where he was. He is looking like a major disappointment right now. It is ironic, Brent's friends are all talking about Steve and Robin and then they criticize each other for being big mouths. Brent and TJ had a licking fight in front of April and her friends. She whacks him pretty hard and he flipped her onto our patio but he didn't hurt her. I made Jodi a video, Stacy got her gift certificate for her prom makeup and bought Sullivan a CD, Stained and Christina Agleiro for herself. I let her use the gift certificates that have been gathering around the house. My kids are not good with money and when they get gift certificates they just leave them lying around. I am worried about the money situation with some of my kids and their friends. Sullivan isn't working that I can see, I think he must have got fired or they know he was stealing (my opinion). We just got a check returned so Stacy has lent him some money. I don't think they have done anything about fixing it, they have to get it resolved. If Stacy is out some money she might start resenting it later on. Stacy and Sullivan went to Jodi's but didn't want to stay out in the tents, because of the large amounts of rain we have been having. It seems that Jodi is on a high in regards to her friends being at her house and even wants her birthday to be in her back yard in tents again. Once is a novelty, twice, been there done that, three times enough already, as far as I am concerned! Annie at 5/25/2003 04:24:00 a.m. Stacy woke up rough today so I let her sleep in and she can shower after school. I had to talk to her about attitude. It is easy for my kids to take advantage of me, I am good-natured and I respond well when they are easy going. I don't like bad moods. She apologized. There was a traffic jam this morning that caused chaos, in every direction, I couldn't even get Milk. While everyone else was inconvenienced for a brief while unfortunately someone was impaled in a freak accident. Poor guy. A trailer broke loose from a hitch on a vehicle going the opposite direction. It tore into the driver side door of the guy's car and speared him through his stomach through to the back seat. James and I went to breakfast and reflected on how annoyed everyone was to be behind schedule. The traffic jam was minor nuisance for the population in general but a life altering change for his whole family. Monica tried to demand feed at lunchtime so I made her make her own. I went to the school in the afternoon to help with the Hep B shots. Cory didn't feel well after it, was warm and had a headache. Brent got up around 3, his cold is a lot better, he drank lots of water all night like I asked him to. He went out with Alex, and the Doobie Brothers to see the Matrix again. Stacy and Sullivan and his friend Craig went to a party for Cadets. Someone who likes Sullivan, Brittany should be there, he has been telling us about her, so that should be interesting. They didn't stay long as it was mostly younger kids, I guess his days at Cadets have changed when there is more younger kids than the older ones, that is natural. Nadia and Derrick watch the Ottawa Senators lose their series to Jersey Devils. Monica went out with Holly to a movie. She apologized to James for being out of control with our family. April went out with some friends from school. I drove her to them and then they had me drive back to our neighbour so they could get Dillon. April has written a note to Dillon to say that she really likes him. Dillon wrote a nice letter back saying that April is a close friend of his and he doesn't want to hurt her feelings but he thinks of her as a friend. Annie at 5/24/2003 03:57:00 a.m. Brent woke us up about 1:30am to tell us about his taxi ride. When he told them our address, the taxi driver said that he has been trying to find Brent because Brent sold some speakers to another taxi guy and in order to locate Brent they had noted his to and from addresses. The guy is interested in a camera. This kind of thing shows me that Brent won't be conforming to the type of education and jobs that everyone thinks people should have, he will probably make it on his own. Monica came on her period so it shows that she does get PMS but that is still no excuse for her behaviour. This might even help her recognize the signs and try to control her emotions. I had to get up my nerve and go to the Bank in Scarborough to clear up what mom has done with money deposited in my name. We have asked over the years for her to get all the money out of my name but she has kept at least 5 thousand in my name and won't take it out. So James feels that it is mine to do what I want but I want to just keep it there so she can never accuse me of using her for her money, I know she would say that. I have it arranged now that if mom tries to take any money out of this account that she needs two signatures. At least I will know what she is doing with the money now. I know that this is money that she put in the bank for me over the years but we have been paying taxes on it all along and James was pretty upset with thousands of dollars disappeared last year when we had no idea what happened to it. Had a good time at the Fox and Hound with Stacy for lunch in Pickering. Jessie has been talking in class about a new girl in a voice that is loud enough for Stacy to hear. Stacy says that he doesn't really talk about this girl (Becky) in a nice way and she sounds very rough from what he says about her. She drinks and smokes pot and says that if she knew she was going to die she would go down taking Heroin. I think my daughter is surprised that he would go out with her but maybe he wants the opposite of Stacy or maybe he just wants a quick good time. She is worried about him getting into drugs and drinking more. She visited Sullivan while I was at the bank and then they went home with me and went out with Amy. Took Monica with us to Nadia's game. One of her teammates Lindsay was hit in the face at bat, went to hospital. James pocketed my keys while we were at baseball so I couldn't drive Sullivan home so he stayed overnight. I am trying my best not to have him over all the time because Stacy needs to know it is her home and that he needs to be invited and not stay for days on end. Brent is full of cold but managed to stay at work today. It is important for him to try to keep at work, Steve is making little remarks about Brent when he is sick like Brent is enjoying trying to get time off or something, so it is important for Brent to come in even when he is sick. They can send him home if he is too bad. Annie at 5/23/2003 04:51:00 a.m. Monica and Nadia were in a huge fight tonight, Monica tried to force her will on Nadia, even tried to hang up on Derrick and Nadia, which infuriated Nadia. Nadia said something that really hurt but I told Monica this would happen if she abused her family like this. She is so good, fair, and natural leader to others but the family is her whipping boy and it just can't be. We talked to her and we said that she can't stay at home when we are not for a while until she treats her family better. Is this PMS? Sullivan was in town today with Rich and Stacy joined them for supper and then had to do her projects. Sullivan watched TV while she did it. Sullivan's phone is not broken, he owes too much money on it, I think he said $400.00 He has been text messaging my daughter and it has put him deep in the hole. April got mad at the Ump for a bad call so she stood at short, and wouldn't get ready to get back in the game. She stood at short and refused to make a play for the ball. I think she was disappointed that her coaches didn't contest that call. She had to be reminded later that it is a team sport and she is a select player and if she does that again, she will be at her games alone. This is just how it was when April played for the gruesome twosome a couple of years ago. I drove Brent over to TJ's at 10:30 pm so her could help her with a project. I went on msn because it has appeared on my computer again and looked up April's profile. She is setting herself up for people to think she is a certain type of girl when I know that she is only going for the laughs. Maybe she will be a comedian when she grows up, but this kind of talk really bothers me. You would have thought she had desensitized me through the years but it was upsetting to see this: A Little About Me I like to think about...SCOTT! I miss him, he's the best guy in the world!... But then there's the naughtiest guy in the world...RYAN! who loves ya babe! Annie at 5/22/2003 04:50:00 a.m. April dragged herself out of bed today, she didn't sleep until 4:30am, I think her consience is getting the best of her right now. I picked Brent up at TJ's this morning, he was a little upset that no one at Jodi's offered to put some money in towards the fireworks he bought and it cost him $120.00. He should have asked for money in advance of buying them. I guess it is a life's lesson. Sam is at it again, she asked Cory if he could work on the yearbook and now she is with Cory and Monica is upset about it. He tired to defend himself saying that he doesn't flirt with Sam when Monica is not around and went up to Cody and asked him that question and Cody said, "Yes, you do, Cory" so that backfired on Cory. We talked about how she would look back on this in the future and while it is a big deal now, that she would put it in the right perspective down the road. If Sam and Brandy can get him away from Monica, then he doesn't deserve Monica. I know he would miss her, they are like best friends. When Stacy got home from Psyhio, she had a confrontation with April and then said that April had placed some booze in my closet in my bedroom yesterday. April said it was a girl named Crystal's who came with one of her teammates on Saturday with a stuffed toy. I asked to see her picture and the bottle and the stuffed toy but April couldn't or wouldn't produce the picture so she is covering for someone or lying. The stuffed toy had been hollowed out for space to hide the booze. I asked her what she had sewed yesterday and she said Monica's pants. I asked Monica if she had sewed the bear and Monica tried to stick up for her by saying it was true about the pants but she tried to get Monica to cover for her sewing the bear and that just isn't right to put Monica in that position. Stacy wanted April to produce the bar key and gave April an ultimatum to give it back or else she would tell. She also told her that if Sullivan hadn't of been with us all day we would have suspected him and that is just not fair. She won't admit to the bottle of vodka. I don't know what to do with these blatant denials. We had a rain out in Coburg for Monica's softball game so we went out to dinner with Paul and Kelly at East Side Mario's. When we got home April handed me this note: Mommy...I don't know how to say this to you (even though I know you know I lied) but I am not about to tell you everything... it is too late 4 that...At my b-day party the girl Crystal brought that teddy bear and brought that bacardi bottle over too... She was drunk that night she was also the only one drunk because no one feels felt comfortable with the idea of drinking at my house... So later when she through up we didn't want to rat her out so nobody said anything because it was at my house...(as you knew when you came down everyone was fine, except Crystal) Crystal told me to keep the bear at my house 4 her so she could get it later (she didn't want to get in trouble at home) but she never came for it... I didn't want to bring it out cuz I didn't want to get caught with it. I shouldn't have aloud her to bring it over but I didn't know until the end of the party when she was feeling pretty sick and she had explained how she had been drinking it throughout the party. I honestly didn't think it was a big deal until she was really sick and left the bear at my house... I knew it was wrong and she hasn't come over to my house since. I understand that I won't be having parties for a long time. I realized after the first time I got drunk that I couldn't hide it from you so I knew that it was bad if I ended up drunk and I new I couldn't hide it from you either and my real friends are smart and they weren't into that. That night I got drunk for the first time, Erin had been out with me but left because everyone was drinking, I knew that she didn't like the idea of drinking. I am sorry for lying to you...I didn't want to rat out Crystal or having the possibility of me and the others getting blamed 4 something we didn't do. Nadia sat down and the GO people asked to see her ticket but she couldn't find it. It took hr 15 minutes and finally found it in her pants pocket! Annie at 5/21/2003 04:43:00 a.m. We bumped into Stacy and friends at Tim Horton's bright and early this morning on the way to baseball practices for April and Monica. They all looked so tired. It is weird; I know that there is a strong possibility that Stacy is more involved in this relationship that any previous one and it doesn't bother me at all. Should it? - me being her mother? She never even tired to stay out all night with other guys, even when there was plenty of opportunity. For some reason, I trust this boy, not that he is not going to do something with Stacy, rather that he is taking good care of Stacy and she is extremely happy. I was talking my nexct door neighbour today, we unfortunately only see each other when we are coming or going in our cars. Alex's sister was there, she was complaining about her brother. She spat out my sons name in such a way that you just knew that they think Brent is trouble. Josh got drunk a couple of weeks ago and threw up at home. Apparently the parents had no idea that he has been drinking and they are basically blaming it on his friends. Josh drinks a lot, without the help of his friends. I was even told that it might be a good idea if Alex had a bad experience like the throwing up he did a couple of weeks ago to make him realize that he should watch what he is drinking. I never said a thing to his sister, just shook my head. I am not going to ruin the illusion of her brother just to clear my son's name. I am disappointed in April today, she is trying to deceive us and everyone could see right through her. Nadia's Vodka was hidden behind the Loveseat in the living room but 4 hours later it was not there. I was with Nadia and Sullivan all afternoon, Stacy was at Melissa's for group homework, Brent hasn't been seen since yesterday, so it only left Monica and April. April was acting strange. First of all she kept saying she didn't know where the booze was but she was looking for the sewing kit in the living room so we all figured that she had seen it. And why did she need the sewing kit? She always shows us her accomplishments like the duct tape wallet she made but she never showed us what she sewed this time. Sullivan said she was in the living room when we got home from the store. James was in the basement and April came downstairs and shut his office door so that he was aware that something was up. I told her that no one was going to have a party again until we solved the disappearance of the vodka bottle and she was upset about that. She was seen upstairs with a bottle of something going from her room to my room and when I went up to retrace her movements I found the vodka bottle by the hall table, but no water bottle, it had disappeared. Funny thing is that everyone was still looking for stuff after we found the vodka because things were not adding up. All of a sudden a water bottle that minutes before were seen in April and Monica's room mysteriously disappeared. Then in my closet was as big empty bottle of Wildberry, the same kind that was supposed to have been snuck into my basement on April's birthday party that was never found. Our key to the booze cabinet is missing and April was the last to have it and now we can only imagine that she still has it and is planning to take some more booze or already has. She is only hurting herself and people have trusted her so much lately. I hate to see this happen to her, but the looks on everyone's faces, you know we are all thinking that April is up to something, the vodka, the missing key and the water bottle that suddenly wasn't there anymore...she is in over her head. Nadia is going through a lot of anxiety thinking that it is April that took the booze, they have been so close lately, even planning a camping trip together. I have written in here before that the worse thing April could do would be stealing booze off a teenager, who knows exactly how much it costs and how much was drank. Nadia and Derrick had a fireworks display here. Nadia had Derrick, Kelly, Natasha, and Jon here for supper and she was making blender drinks with Strawberries, booze...and of course she got the giggles. When we were teasing her about the giggles she told everyone that the first time she was like this she was with her "mom and a bunch of bikers." Derrick, would dart out of harms way after he lit each firework, it was cute. Caesar was very afraid and hid upstairs. I haven't heard from Brent yet today. They had fireworks (hopefully not in the tent!), but they were disappointed in the quality of them. They are doing it again tonight. Monica had a sunburn after she mowed the lawn in basically the first sunny day of the year. She is sore and frustrated because she never burns but there was a high UV rating today. She went to Cory's and came home for 10:30. James is against her going but I think he is a good kid. The plan was that Brent is hanging out with Stacy tonight but I am not holding my breath. James and I went to visit Gramma but I was called back twice in the car, once to get Nadia and her friends from the Pickering GO station. Nadia came back from her hotel evening with her friends and she didn't enjoy the accommodations and she will complain to them about it. Marita came over and I thought she invited us over for drinks but she asked us to come for dinner. We had already eaten but we ate her ribs anyway. Mmmm. April is not with the usual kids but 4 kids that were at her party last night. James saw them go into our house from the Kegs and until the booze cabinet key has been returned we can't be sure that April does not have it. So I ran over to check on them but I couldn't say why. Annie at 5/19/2003 04:45:00 a.m. Phoned Brent at TJ's at 7am, he was supposed to work this morning, told them if he they let him come home he would work for sure, he has lost the idea of work ethics. He hates his job so much these days, can't wait to get out of it. Baseball games for April in Cambridge, it really is a long way for two games. Our girls did great and they had all the pitchers taking turns. Fran and Erin drove with us. One of the parents was talking to us about kids and there sexual awakenings. Her son overheard her and he gave the most pathetic look when he said, "Mom what are you talking about?" Stacy phoned and asked if she could go camping. I said yes because Brent was supposed to go, and when he said he wasn't Amy's mom said no. They decided to pitch a tent in Jodi's back yard. I think it is Sullivan and the girls. I trust Stacy that she wouldn't do anything, I know she is not like that but I am sure she is looking forward to the snuggling. She never has even tried to spend the night with any guy before, she surely cares a lot for Sullivan. Nadia is in Toronto with Derrick for the $25.00 a night special. They originally had planned for 3 nights but Derrick had to work. Brent stayed home tonight, his back is very sore. We had a couple of beers with him. The news said that they are decriminalizing the possession of marijuana to a fine and Brent was talking about the fact that people don't think it is so bad anymore. I asked him if he has tried it lately and he shook his head and looked at me and said, "How come you only ask me that when I have just done it the night before?" He said that he hadn't even smoked it for about six months before that. The only reason I asked him about it is because he sounded like he was justifying its legality. I have a feeling that things will be different now that they are decriminalizing it, that it will be considered all right. I wish they put some kind of restriction or basis for what limit to intoxication they will have because I think the teens might go all out thinking it is all right to do now. April has about 35 of her friends in the basement and it is so hot down there. They are all good and we only checked one guy's backpack, we want to keep a good eye on them. He apologized for even bringing it in. We have learned from the older kids not to let backpacks and coats downstairs. They are really having a lot of fun and she invited her baseball team over and they seem to be really jelling. Monica is at Holly's for a birthday party. She made Holly a tape even though Holly said that she didn't want a videotape for her birthday. Monica made it herself which was a good experience. She also gave her some cute underwear. I drove there to get them....yes I am a wimp too. Chelsea started to talk to April today, probably when word of her party got to her. April was moody at the supper table today, when we started to talk to her about Chelsea all of a sudden deciding she wasn't mad at April for the last couple of weeks. Nadia presented her job proposal and they went to do a prototype all next week. She told them that she was flexible about school, that she was planning to go back to school but if this turned into a full time job they would refund her money. She is at Derrick's all evening. Sullivan came over right after school, he hasn't been over here in a couple of days, he had supper with us while Stacy was at work. Stacy said that one of the kids told the class that she was in puberty! . They went out to supper at Montana's. They said they were buying a movie ticket for Brent and he even asked them to get one for TJ but then he went out with the Doobie Brothers. He went with Josh after work and saw the Matrix. I took Marita to the doctor tests today and then she took me out for lunch. I had a nice time good to get out- just the two of us. April is confused at why TJ is all over guys at school, always with them, says they are always flirting and she is too. April says hi to her and she doesn't even acknowledge April. I think Brent can see for himself that this is the way she is, I don't think he is serious about her at all and he has never talked about her with affection, so I am not going to say anything to him about her at all. He is just in it for a good time, not emotionally. Stacy says she sits with her old boyfriend and flirts with him too, Stacy wants me to talk to Brent, but I don't know what to do. James went golfing with Steven today for 9 holes in the afternoon. I forgot how quick 9 holes could be and he was home in no time. James doesn't seem so enthusiastic about golf these days. It was a sport that he was very involved in with his father so I wonder if that has anything to do with him losing a little passion for it? Nadia had her first house league. They have gone down to 4 teams in the Midget but each team has 15 players, which means that you might get up to bat once in a game and you would be sitting at least half the game. They are putting 4 fielders on. They are debating on whether to put a fifth team in and go with 12 - well duhhh!!! One of the coaches on her team is the coach they said would never coach in the league again. Nadia is very vocal in persuading the league to create another team. Brent thinks that my mothers day card is now in Josh's truck. It's getting closer to home. The flowers... they were probably nice! Annie at 5/16/2003 04:05:00 a.m. Brent phoned about 12:30 am looking for a ride home but decided to take a taxi. When I woke up this morning there was no Brent so I guess he stayed at TJ's. I phoned around 11:30 am and the mother didn't even know he was there. James says that Donnie is worried that I am upset about what he said to me last night and about me leaving early. I am sure he didn't realize that he was saying what he said, that he was only thinking it and said it out loud by mistake. But he did say it. It is going to be difficult seeing him again. Stacy came home from school, she was upset with Jessie and Amy, they were making life miserable for her in first class. Sometimes Amy makes me wonder if she tries too hard to be involved in decision making in Stacy's life. My daughter choices directly affect her social life and it is as if Amy is rethinking whom Stacy should be hanging around with. Maybe she is now realizing that she had more opportunities when Stacy was with Jessie. She never was close to Brent and his friends like Jodi so maybe this is why Amy has been antagonizing her lately. Nadia walked the dog to Gramma's house in the afternoon and Gramma drove her back home. There was a buy out at school today so April phoned on her way from walking home and asked for a ride because she was going to visit Gramma with her cousin to play cards. He apologized for missing Mother's Day, said that he had flowers and a card but he left them in the cooler at work and he won't be in till Wednesday. I talked to an old favourite teacher on the phone for quite a while today. He is not teaching right now, in February he had a gallbladder operation where he reacted to the aesthetic and almost died. He is taking time off and is going to do things he always wanted to do but never got around to it. He is going to the Northwest Territories to visit the Victoria Falls on the Nahanni River. He discovered it in a book that he made the kids read last year called Dangerous River. He read it in 1971 and has met the author and now is making his dream come true. He was talking about the different kids that he liked and the ones that were leader quality kids. He mentioned Monica's name and Cory's. I told him they have been going out for 1 1/2 years and he said that he could understand that. He again told of his appreciation of Monica helping him out when Brandy told those stories about him last year. He says that he will never forget her. Nadia went to Costco with Kelly to look at tents. They bought one from somewhere and they have to keep it here because the mother don not approve of them camping together. Where does she think they will be for a couple of days? Wow my eyes are opened, where have I been? I went out to dinner with Dave, Marita, Darlene and Donnie at the Keg, the manager gave us all liquors for Marita's birthday. The subjects were so bizarre, so sexual, that the waiter even commented on our conversations. In another surprising turn of events, it turns out Marita and Darlene have been smoking pot, and I thought they were so straight. Darlene was so annoying and I was uncomfortable with Darlene constantly flipping the bird at everyone. Then we went back to the Keg's, and Donnie looks at me and asks a question about a shaved pussy. What the hell are you talking about??? And why are you looking at me??? Then when he realized what he had said was out of line he downed enough booze to make drinking his excuse. He wouldn't stop staring at me. They say he is a pussy hound- well stop sniffing around me buddy. My shoulder is bothering me so much that I went to bed early. Ya, it was an excuse but I had to leave. Annie at 5/14/2003 03:52:00 a.m. Stacy's boyfriend is influencing April and I approve. April asked for BLT for breakfast (what Sullivan has been making her lately) so we prepared it together. She is becoming a morning person again, very cheerful and we bantered about Sullivan and what an influence he has become in April's life because of the BLT. It was fun teasing April, she complained that I didn't flip the bacon like Sullivan. I am just happy she had a good breakfast. Stacy had her appointment with the specialist. His report says that there was no major pathology detected but did have a large medial plica with a small ulcer, which was removed. In other words it was a lump of scar tissue. He told her to start moving her knee for full range motion. Sullivan came over, his phone isn't working so he can't phone to say he is in town. More like he can't afford to use the phone, I heard he has a $400. plus phone bill. Stacy went out looking for him a couple of times. I found some cards he gave to her last Tuesday for their one - month and her surgery, he had the 'L' word in it a couple of times. I guess that is why she didn't show our family, because she thinks we will think it is too soon to use that word. I am glad she has put importance on that word too and not throw it around like so many people do. She did say that he said it too early so I think she might have trouble believing that it is genuine. There relationship is actually more involved than just one month going out, they went through more than most people do to go out so I image it is more intense that just a one month would normally be. It clearly looks to me like Sullivan is crazy about her. They went to a movie - Identity. Nadia went to Durham College, lunch with Derrick and got her marks, which she was disappointed in. They spent all there time on the Sports Dinner and her other marks suffered. Rain out for Monica's game but we hung around in the car and talked with Paul for 1 1/2 hours. Derrick came over to Nadia's room until 9. She doesn't have any qualms about Derrick being in her messy room. His is supposedly very neat so I wonder if he is irritated by it? Annie at 5/13/2003 04:23:00 a.m. Our first game was rained out this morning after 3 innings but we had to sit around in our cars until we realized that the umps had left. Monica was the only bare armed kid on both the teams but she refused to put something on because it gets in her way when she pitches yet she was bare armed up to bat too. Apparently the party Brent had on Friday was very loud and our neighbours complained about the kids outside, the cars, the music and the smell! There were beer bottles up and down the neighbourhood at the sides of people's homes. I am getting so leery of the parties now because they don't observe any of the simple conditions that I initially requested in order to have parties here. I wanted them to be safe, I know they would go somewhere else and drink anyway, somewhere where they aren't protected. I wanted them to have a place where they could go that a girl would feel safe and not taken advantage of, a place where if they got drunk, they would be looked after but this place is not safe any more when no rules are being honoured. They come and go as they please. I want to know who is drinking and have them stay at my house, have their keys taken away or drive them home myself. They cigarettes smoked outside have turned into smoking pot outside and drinking outside too. Where they used to go to another neighbourhood they now boldly do it near my house. Now I am being taken advantage of. It's mother's day and so far Nadia, Stacy, and April all bought me gifts! I haven't seen or heard from Brent all day. James made me a nice roast beef supper. It is only time that I want from my kids, I love being with them so I have been missing Brent a lot. Dave came over today for some drinks and we discovered that our booze and Nadia's had been taken for the party. Brent is at work so we will have to talk to him later about how his party turned out. Monica came into me in the late evening and said that she needed a compass set and if she didn't have it then she would loose 10% of her mark. I don't mind if they stay down with them for a while in the evening but I don't want my younger kids waking up to them lying with them, it really is not appropriate. We never got a chance to talk to TJ at all, she just stuck her head in the door and said bye. IT WAS FREEZING OUT for Monica’s softball games in Whitby. We were covered in blankets huddlied together trying to concentrate on the game when you could not think of anything except how to be warm. And then I see my bare armed daughter, the only kid in the park bare armed, and I feel like I am not a good mother. We had a bout of Thunder and Lightning but we won our games today, one against a team who laughed at us for being tier one for first year novice. Stacy's games were in Brooklin and it was much warmer but still not fun to watch yet. Sullivan went with Stacy to her games but she had to sit with her team so it must have been boring for him as he is not a ball fan. We went for lunch at Starr Burger and Sullivan ordered himself 3 scoops of ice cream in a cup but instead he received 3 cups filled with ice cream for $8.00! He never complained. We went to leave and he followed until he realized that Stacy wasn't behind him, she was still waiting for his order! I really like Sullivan, he seems so real to me. James went with Monica to a team party while I went with Stacy to her late night game, which they lost, in the last inning. April was out with Jodi for a while but watched some baseball with us today because she is bored. She also slept for a couple of hours around supper. James brought Scott and Devon home to see our basement but unfortunately Brent left the basement in a mess from his Friday party. This rarely happens, they are usually good at cleaning up. We are disappointed that a friend of ours saw the basement in such a mess. Nadia and Derrick went to Yuk Yuk's. They asked James and I if we wanted to go but we were so tired from being out in the wind and the cold that we went to bed early. Annie at 5/11/2003 04:29:00 a.m. James and I worked most of the day in the garden, moving around plants that the grass has grown through and removing stumps, large shrubs and evergreens. Our backs are breaking! Whitby Tournament - Monica pitched the whole game, did very well but they lost 2- 0. It is hard without a list to try to get to know the parents and the kids and who belongs to whom. Nadia gave me an early mothers day gift, a shadow box, so I will try to see how the bottle caps look in it. She bought Blue Jay tickets for $2.00 each but she bought so many I hope we can find the time to go or else get other people to go. She is good at finding the deals these days! Brent had friends over in the evening. It was so hot in the basement that they were outside for much of the evening. Unfortunately a lot of them were smoking up out there, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. Brent is not usually one to spend so much of his party time out side so something is different with him. Is he being influenced by TJ and changing his lifestyle because of TJ? He told me before he rarely smoked pot? 'Someone' borrowed a highlighter and Keith signed his name on TJ's bum and 'someone' was making out in front of everyone and then went into the office to be intimate. I wish Brent respected his girlfriend enough not to put her in that position. Stacy was tired, she went to bed early. Sullivan probably should have gone home with her not feeling too well. She asked if he could stay and then went to bed. I wish I had had a chance to talk about it with her and I would have driven him home if I had known the circumstances. Brent had TJ over and she stayed overnight too. I am glad, maybe I will be able to talk to her some tomorrow and get to know her a little. She bit my head off as well as Brent's for noticing that she was limping. I don't have the patience for her today so I am keeping away. Nadia went to work and found a deal on hotel rooms for $25.00 a night so her and Derrick plan to go for 3 days. I would like it if James and I could go but baseball takes up most of out time. Annie at 5/09/2003 04:09:00 a.m. Even though Monica baseball practice was cancelled the rain didn't stop them for staying for the length of the practise talking to Paul. Joe was there too for a practice for his team. From what they are saying Paul's team has been placed with the tier one second year while the older team is with the first year. We have to face everyone sooner or later so I look forward to stiff competition. Stacy directed Sullivan to our downstairs furnace room instructing him to stay put so she could set up a surprise. On the back of the furnace room door she had painted their timeline together. He laughed when he noticed it, really liked it and gave her a big hug. Sullivan had given her carnations yesterday for their one month going out. It’s funny but when they told me that it was there one month, I never said anything about it because they just feel like they have been going out longer. I guess that’s from the huge hassle they went through to get to actually go out. When I try to tell Sullivan something that happened, Stacy has already told him and it makes me feel so happy to know that she is that close to someone- he is the only one she has ever talked that easy, other than me, and I am thrilled that she feels that comfortable with him. Nadia received an email in the afternoon from work offering her Matchbox 20/ Sugar Ray and Maroon 5 tickets for tonight. She asked me if I wanted to go! I love Matchbox 20 and the fact that her first choice was bringing her mother! We were in box seats, which was a treat too. It was a great evening. I found it strange that this time I recognized their new music but Nadia didn't know many of the new songs. I was introduced to an ex coach of the Leafs and I was speechless when he kept saying how much he thought I was Nadia's sister. I never thought of myself as being star struck, I never thought that I would be impressed with peoples celebrity status. But there is was in awkward silence. I felt like a little kid, trying to grasp at anything that was in my head to reply to him - nothing was in my head, all I did was show an idiot smile. While we were out James took 2 calls from the select coach asking that Nadia play Select. Nadia doesn't want to play after her bad experiences in the last two years. He asked James if he was stuck short for a pitcher, if Nadia would play every now and then so at least Nadia has that choice. Upon arriving at the GO Station on our way home, we noticed 2 notes tucked under the wipers on our car. One was from James with 'I like your face' referring to the note I gave him when we were first going out. Stacy left a gimp note. That was sweet that they searched for our van out because I was in the second parking lot so it must have been hard to find us. Brent was at Adam's with the boys, stayed out late. They go out of their way not to invite Sullivan. That is the dark part of Stacy's relationship and I personally can't see the light at the end of the tunnel for them. This relationship has hurt Brent and Stacy and there tight brother sister closeness that they had. The fact that Sullivan went after Stacy knowing that everyone of his friends was against it has isolated them and that is isolating her from someone she loves. there is a sadness that needs to be reapired. Annie at 5/08/2003 04:57:00 a.m. Stacy had her knee scoped today and it took forever. We were beginning to worry about just what they were finding. Sullivan came over at 10 and stayed at the hospital all day with Stacy. I picked them up at 4:30. Sullivan, even when he was alone, was waiting for her, couldn't go out of the hospital, otherwise he would have to go through the SARS screening again. Without Stacy he wouldn't be allowed back in. Her knee is very sore and I do believe she is very sensitive to the effects of the codeine they gave her because her face was red blotches. Amy made some marshmallow squares for her and Jodi came over for a while. Jodi is seeing a new guy now and hopefully she will accept Sullivan more, just an observation but I don't think she could handle Sullivan with Stacy when she liked him so much. We watched a couple of movies. TJ dropped off a movie just when Brent got off work so he went there until 11:40. Brent is going to stay downstairs with Stacy tonight to watch over her. Brent is very interested in the looney increasing its value; it is great for Brent's company. Coincidentally, Sullivan and Derrick are both hugging April now. When Sullivan did it she yelled that he was hot and then making her hot, so we have been teasing her about that. For a girl who doesn't want any affection, she is getting hugs in abundance. Annie at 5/07/2003 04:38:00 a.m. Brent woke us all up in the middle of the night looking for the massager because his back was bothering him. Monica stayed in her room for 10 minutes when Brandy called on her for school this morning. She tried to ignore her in gym by not passing the ball in European handball but ended up passing to her team mate who happened to be Jeff so that got Cory upset. She should have just told Brandy she was mad at her from the weekend. Took Stacy for her pre op, they said we came at the wrong time but took her anyway. After they asked her all of the questions and told her not to wear makeup or nail polish. Stacy said that she never did and the nurse looked at her and said that I had a good girl. Stacy has natural beauty and make up would spoil it. Right now she just looks pretty and wholesome. She is extremely nervous about tomorrow. Nadia had Kelly over today and Sarah came over and took our old couch along with a lot of stuff from our garage to use in her basement as she is renting it. It is hard to believe that Sarah is out of her parents home and off on her own with Adam. I guess other kids all all grown up but not mine...they still need their mommy! Derrick visited Nadia in the evening and chased April upstairs for a hug. He lunged over her on our bed and smash his head on our bedroom fan. Unfortunately he tracked mud in all the way upstairs and he was upset with himself about it! Brent worked on his Internet Company. He sold speakers to Josh at cost and now word of mouth is getting him more business. April is frustrated that her group is not working on an assignment. She has been sticking up for cousin; another girl wants to fight her. Chelsea lost a tooth on the weekend in Lacrosse. One of her own team mates knocked it out. Rumour has it that the parents weren't very supportive of her, and was even late picking her up. Annie at 5/06/2003 04:22:00 a.m. Meanwhile back at the tourney, the weather was better, and the wind was down. We played one game, lost and that was it. It is a long way for one game. We went to Don Cherry's for lunch with the girls and Sullivan. James wouldn't leave my chair alone, it had wheels on it so he pushed me around. James and I had two pitchers of beer, first and last time we will do that. James went right to bed but for some reason it didn't seem to affect me, I felt fine. Nadia was asked to join the rep team but she was hesitant to commit because she is the only girl from our area and she will have a hard time getting to games. Then they called back to say she had been cut. The house league phoned her within a few minutes to ask tell her they had heard rumours about going rep and to please stay. For the first time in years, Nadia won't be on Tim's team. Brent hasn't been home all day. I would like a chance to get to know TJ for myself, to see what she is like but I am not getting that opportunity. Brent seems to be keeping her out of family ties. Annie at 5/05/2003 04:28:00 a.m. Monica woke up at 5am and went downstairs to burn a CD for Kayla. We assumed she was all ready and when we called her to leave for the tourney she came up in her pj's! We were in Brampton at the Ching tourney IT WAS SO COLD I had 5 layers of clothes on and a comforter. I phoned to make sure Brent had come home, he hadn't, he stayed at TJ's. I phoned Brent and he said that he wasn't feeling well. I am so disappointed that he didn't go to work especially when Brent complained that his hours had been cut down a little when he really wanted more hours. If he is not feeling well, then he should have come home. Brent should be at home instead of at his girlfriend's. We visited Toni at A&W, she gave us lunch and sat with us for about an hour. He restaurant is near the high school and she has specials for the students but if they don't behave, then the whole school is banned for a while. She would rather have them come than not but she has to protect her property and she even has to limit the number of students in the washroom to one with an employee because they have had so much damage in the washrooms. Had supper at Casey's with some of the team. This is the first time in a long time that we don't know a lot of the kids on Monica's team. Pitching is harder at this level because the kids are better at hitting the fastball so Monica has to work on her change ups. She had great at bats and base running. The girls on most of the tier 1 teams are a year older are very much bigger! Monica went to Brandy's when we got home at 10:30 till 11:00 for her birthday party (even though her birthday is over two months away.) Monica didn't want to watch the movie because she was only to be there for 1/2 an hour so she went in another room. Three or four of the boys followed her and that made Brandy mad enough that she kicked Monica out even though she was waiting for a ride from Cory's mom. Brent installed a stereo system for Josh, but still didn't come home for bedtime. Stacy and Sullivan and friends went to Jen Good something or other but just watched TV. Jodi was there but didn't really talk to them. Annie at 5/04/2003 04:25:00 a.m. I dreamed Nadia was getting married and she had a renaissance gown on and every time she undid a string she would fill out the slack, it was a nightmare. Nadia is at the marrying age and it breaks my heart that she is this size when she is so young and that is how she will enter her adult life. I wish she would try even a little. I saw Nadia's stomach the other day and she had stretch marks - new ones. It hurts my feelings that she is doing this to her body, I still feel that it is partly mine because she is part of me and I don't want to let this happen. This morning, James found a box of condoms, was going to give them to Brent until I noticed that the expiry date was six years ago! I took them out of the package and was blowing one up to a balloon size when Monica opened our door and walked in. I was trying to deflate it and hide the package while the rest of the condoms all fell out al over my bed! I tired to hid them in the bed covers so I hope she didn't see what they were! James thought it looked hilarious. We went to the bank to get Line of credit as there is a number of things we need to do this year, driveway, roof.... Nadia and Derrick stayed downtown after work to watch the Blue Jays win. Stacy and Sullivan bought tickets to X- men, people cancelled on them at the last minute. We went to Mark and Carrie's tonight, there neighbours were there too. His school hockey team won OFFSA! Now he is attempting to be a rep coach in town and he can’t believe the screening process he has to go through. When Stacy got home she tried to go downstairs and Nadia stopped them, saying that it wouldn't be a good idea. Nadia is getting bolder with Derrick and I don't know how to handle it. Annie at 5/03/2003 04:16:00 a.m. Mississauga Tournament and we should know that you never get fair umps there. The one ump yelled foul, when it was fair and then reversed after our payer came back from first and they tagged her out. Even Mississauga said that "its not all our umps that are unfair" Mississauga even called yesterdays rain out a complete game against us, they were up 2-1 when they only played 3 ½ innings. When we got back Fabio was here! No, Sullivan was a dressed up in a suit for a cadet ceremony where his buddy received a scholarship award, one like Sullivan got last year. He never has recited a resume to me, I find out new and impressive things about him all the time. When I doubted his integrity last January he could have used a lot of ammunition about what he has achieved, but he never even tried and that has impressed me almost the most about him. Most important is how he treats Stacy and that is so well. She can't get over the fact that he will stay with her when she is doing homework, when she says he should be bored, but he stays with her. I have all the confidence that he will make good things happen with his life and with Stacy's too. I am glad she has met him. Nadia and April were together a lot again today, it is really working out that they are sharing a room. They worked on April's web page and April is learning so much from Nadia. Brent, I am so bewildered about Brent staying in TJ's bed when he is there. I wanted him to grow into a relationship, discover each other, and not have it laid out before them. Everything young love has to offer and put up with, they have skipped. They will never be able to talk or reminisce about the stolen moments you make or try to have, and think about later to cherish, that is not for them. We still can't get through to get the Toronto tickets for the specials that are trying to entice people back to Toronto because of the SARS scare. Nadia's job proposal for the NHL will have to wait as the boss is out of town. It is hard to watch her work so hard for no money in hopes of getting a job. Everyone thinks that she is being taken advantage of by the NHL but it is her dream and we have told her that if she is waiting for a glimmer of hope then hang on to your dream. Stacy heard a rumour at school about Sullivan not being safe at Prom. Shane told Nikki that Sullivan is afraid to come to the after Prom party because he might get beat up. It is so disappointing to me that Shane would say this and Stacy is so upset about it that people would treat Sullivan this way. I guess Shane is talking trash because Jessie is his best friend and if they believe Steve's stories, then Sullivan did him wrong. Yesterday, Brent and Josh were wrestling in the back room at No Frills and Josh knocked Brent off balance and he grabbed Josh as he went down and Josh caught his head on a milk crate and it cut his head. Stacy was in a very bad mood today. She is in a huge protecting Sullivan mode about him being safe at Prom and I have never seen her disposition so affected. She had a fight with Jessie in class, kicked him and swore at him. She went out to celebrate Melissa's birthday shopping and dinner but she was home by nine and doing homework. She won't go to the camping party if she feels that Sullivan will be threatened in any way. The twins got suspended for the 4th time since February! This time they were talking back to Mr H. and told Monica to shut up when she tried to tell them to pay attention, she says they deserved to get punished. The one kid, just got in from suspension yesterday. James came home a day early from Ottawa and I was so happy to see him!!!! Monica phoned at 5 wanting to stay at Cory's longer and James got upset with her, told her to come home right away. It took her 25 minutes to come home. I talked to the piano teacher about how unhappy Monica was at piano. The teacher stuck to the conservatory music even though I told her Monica wanted the extra music that Holly was learning more contemporary. I am sure that would have kept her interested a lot more. Monica doesn't seem to have the time and the music she has to learn feel boring to her. April had Erin over tonight, they wanted to see the movie April is making for her but my room is too messy. You would think the kids would get the hint and help clean up what they have all put in my room but no. The rep coach wants Nadia to play a game of Sunday but she really doesn't know if she wants to play rep, to make the commitment. She told the coach that she needed time to think about it. I don't know if it is a good idea because she hasn't been exercising and I don't want her to pull muscles because she will try so hard to be the speed she was when she was pitching all year round. Brent was home for a couple of hours after work and then while I was in bed phoned a taxi and went over to TJ's. I wonder what her mom thinks of Brent coming over when it should be bedtime? Annie at 5/02/2003 04:07:00 a.m. Got my licence renewed, didn't realize that my picture would be taken so I wasn't looking my best, oh well. Nadia spent most of the day trying to get through on the phone for an incredible package to promote Toronto's nightlife. They are trying to promote that Toronto is safe for SARS, so they are combining a stage show, dinner, blue jay game and posh hotel for $125.00. We are trying to get 8 tickets. At one time today they were getting 4000 calls per second so I don't think we will get in. Monica friend Kate blew up today, saying that Monica had no idea how it felt to be the last one picked for sports and having the teacher saying that she can't complain about her gym marks. Today in French they picked groups and even her best friend didn't pick her and to make her feel even worse, she was traded after she was picked last. This girl is athletic in her own way, she rides horses and she was the only girl that gave Monica a run at the high jump last year. Nadia's tooth was aching again so off to the dentist in Scarborough for a route canal. I dropped her off because I had to pick the girls up and Stacy needed the car right after 3. I was going to be late and was half way home when Amy phoned to say that she would pick up the girls, which was a relief. I came home anyway because they said Nadia would have quite a wait. So I ended up going to Scarborough twice. Nadia and I had a nice dinner at the Fox and the Hound which used to be the Liverpool House. Tonight was Stacy's night out with the girls but when it was changed so she wanted Sullivan over after she went shopping with the girls. Even though their time was limited Sullivan still wants to see her. He is spending a lot of travel time on the bus to see her. They are expert snugglers and they are wrestling on the couch right now!
