Peaces Of Me++++
++++ The miles just keep rollin as the people leave there way to say hello I've heard this life is overrated but I hope that it gets better as we go |
August 30/02 Brent got his hair cut at Mario's and man was his hair long. You don't realize how long it got because he gels it down or wears a cap. Mario said he was hung over from the night before because he didn't get to sleep until 6. He had a perkocet after he got home for back pain, and it buzzed him so that he couldn't get to sleep. He ended up late for work. He showed me a picture of his new bike, nice. I wouldn't mind taking pictures of it. James and Brent cleared up the computer problems and ended up bringing me home a new cd burner. Stacy got Most Improved Player for her team. The coach said that he always knew Stacy would have a good bat when she came through her injury, and played many positions. He asked her to come back for a tournament in September and to come back for the team next year. I made a very rough copy of the team video and they played it at Don Cherry's at the team dinner. Their sponsor paid for the dinner. She is a successful businesswoman, ranked 35th out of the top 100 Canadian businesswomen of last year. Something in the air or maybe a full moon but there were separate incidences of fighting in town and some of the local boys got charged, in separate incidences? Chris backed over someone and Kevin didn't pay a taxi driver. He was the only one to admitting he was there which was good of him but I imagine he is regreting his honesty but it only makes him lok better in my eyes. Hmmm taxi driver, oh the memories that brings back.??? And we could have been charged for that too. I think what we did was worse because the taxi car seat was ripped apart and my friend ripped up the taxi drivers photo ID and then threw some change at him when he begged us to get out and not hurt him. I didn't think anything at the time of her having a knife but it never occurd to me that a girl would do anything that wrong. It was awful and it was so unplanned. She just went psycho on him. Looking back she was one angry girl. But she could have got us in so much trouble. We had a lot of trouble with April tonight. First she wanted Monica to come to a sleepover at Tara's, but James and I both wouldn't let her because Monica is too young to hang around with grade 9's. April got very upset about it. April was waiting for Tara and Chelsea to come back from dinner but it was getting late and they hadn't come back nor did they try to contact April. April was going to walk over but we wouldn't let her because of the time, it was 11 at night. She insisted that she was old enough to walk alone but we said no. James drove her over and discovered that Tara parents weren't home. He drove April to look for them at the Burger joint, but couldn't find them so he brought her home. April was furious and said that she could do whatever she wanted because she was 14. She compared herself to the older kids and the older kids all tried to tell her she ws in the wrong but she said times change and she is more mature than they were at the same age. She tried to leave but James stopped her so she hid in the back yard. I am upset that she would even think of asking Monica to sleepover too when she knew the parents weren't home. I mean we all tried to pull a fast one on our parents, but you don't get the younger innocent kids involved. Monica snuck downstairs to James's office and talked to Cory until 12:30, so her curfew for outside, computer, and phone will go to 9 o'clock for a while. Annie at 8/31/2002 04:35:00 a.m. James forgot about his team practice because he was trying to restore data from his computer. Stacy went to EX with Jessie to play the games and Jessie won a stuffed little bird that matches her pj's. Then they went to the Town Centre, and after met his parents and their biker club at the Sports Garden. I am so glad Stacy likes Jessie's parent so much, it is nice when teens do, so many don't. Stacy said that Mario was supposed to go to a mandatory hockey meeting but he stayed with them instead and hid at the washroom when the executive came by. There was a guy that had a parasailing accident with his club and talked to Stacy about the huge dose of Perkocet that they had given Stacy. It was the same dose they gave the guy for pain but he is huge where Stacy was tiny so he couldn't believe how much they gave her. What an experience that was. Jessie's court date was a few days ago and it was confusing because the ex cop that represents him told him not to go, they recharged Jessie because they realized that the date on the ticket was wrong (Darn, that was his way out) so now he goes in January. April was upset about Tasha un inviting her to camp out in the tent at her house again. This time Erin stood up for her and wouldn't go with them if April wasn't not invited and asked April to her old boyfriends for supper. April said that they are acting like they are going out even though they aren't. Jake was massaging her feet and her shoulders. Brent told us that Brandon Alexio got pantsed while he was on the phone at Price Choppers the other day. Even his underwear went down, but he just stood there until he was off the phone. That must of looked hilarious. James and I took the dog for a long walk and ended up calling on Marilyn and Bob to show off Caesar. We visited them for tea, while our dog got so excited about seeing their dogs, he barked the whole time, which was embarrassing. It was nice to see them again, we missed them in baseball. Annie at 8/30/2002 04:13:00 a.m. I hope Stacy tells Jessie exactly how she feels about it. I told her if he didn't invite her out she should have invited herself, that is what girlfriend and boyfriend do. James and I went to the annual Golf tournament for the North York Rangers rep hockey and our brother in law paid the whole shot again. It was nice but not smoking hot like it has been all summer which was good because I wouldn't have been able to handle that kind of heat. It was weird, James basically ditched me when we first got there, he would go this way and end up somewhere else while I stayed with the golf clubs, mine wouldn't even stand by themselves so I couldn't leave them and I was getting madder and madder. It was reminding me of when we first were together and he would go off, so I guess that is why I felt so angry so fast. I was going to tell him not to even bother taking me next year and I decided to hold my tongue for a while and see how I felt later. Then I started to remember how it changed when we were younger and it wasn't his attitude that changed but mine. I remembered how mad Jill used to get about the same thing and I started to think that it wasn't him that needed to change, that he wasn't responsible for my fun. If he went off I could entertain myself and eventually he would come back and see that I was having fun and he would have fun with me too. I am glad I remembered because I could have ruined what turned out to be a nice day. We joked about last year, how he was a maniac driver and had an interesting day. We all couldn't putt on the greens except the last hole where I did. We circled the hole many times but it wasn't to be. We ended up with 2 over. Nadia had her last driving lesson. I am not going to bother Nadia about her driving anymore. She did her class work and her in car. Now she doesn't need the pressure, she will do it when she wants to and not when people think she should. I was the same so I know Nadia will be more than perfect when she wants to actually take advantage of driving. I should know, I was 26 when I got mine but I know I wasn't ready before that. When we got home April was having another party! Nadia and Derrick were upstairs, bored, I guess they should have gone to April's party. Monica brought Cody and Cory downstairs to crash the party when she got home. James and I were so tired from being out in the sun all day that we went to bed early. We started to watch a movie but both of us couldn’t keep our eyes open. Stacy went to a late movie with Amy and Brent stayed home all day again. Silly Emails to my family Monica, Dad and I have to leave at 10 to go golfing and I think we will be having dinner there but I am not sure, so I don't know when we will be back. Please listen to the older kids and make sure you tell them where you are at all times. When I come home I want to know exactly where you are. I want to you work on getting your school clothes in to your drawers too. The sooner you clean up your room, the quicker you kids can move them around. The dog has been getting into a lot of mischief lately and unfortunately he is looking for attention, and he is using negative attention. Yesterday he chewed anything he could find, just so we would pay him attention - he even chewed a bar of soap up! Positive attention is so much easier, just look at him and know that even though there are a lot of us he is lonely. Everyone try to take him on long fun walks, try to get him interested in Frisbees and tennis balls, try to teach him to fetch. That will use up a lot of his energy. Yesterday Stacy took him to the waterfront, which is something he doesn't do often so I know he enjoyed it. Make sure that the dog is in the kitchen if no one is paying him attention. Have a good day and get lots of exercise yourselves! Have a good day, I love you Monica miester Love mom --------------------- Hi April, Stop that itching right now!!!!! Have lots of fun at the grade nine school orientation BBQ with your friends. I hope you meet alot of new people there too. When you get home please take an Aveno bath, I know you don't like them but people that I have talked to who have had Poison Ivy say it is the quickest way to get rid of it. Please cut your nails today too because long nails helps to spread the poison ivy. Dad and I have to leave at 10 to go golfing and I think we will be having dinner there but I am not sure, so I don't know when we will be back. Have a good day and get lots of exercise yourselves! Please let the other kids know where you are and tidy up your school clothes and figure out what clothes you will be taking to the cottage too. See you soon my little scratcher, Love mom --------------------------- Hi Stacenhausen, Hope those babies are good for you today. Just remember the good thing about babysitting is that you give them all back when you are finished, cos there not yours! Try to give your room more of a tidy like you did last night. You did a great dusting job, very well done! I knew you would end up collecting all of the blue star boxes we got from the wedding!!! You All you need is something yellow to match them eh? Dad and I have to leave at 10 to go golfing and I think we will be having dinner there but I am not sure, so I don't know when we will be back. Stacy take this time to tell Jessie how you feel about last night. He told you that he knew it was important to tell you in advance when he was planning to go out and this is your opportunity to show him exactly what you meant. You two had a communication problem last night. If either of you said as little as you did on the phone last night, then that is the problem and that is what you were trying to fix before. That is hard with most teenage couples, it takes a long time to know how to talk to each other and be complete up front. He could have phoned you from work to prepare you so you could have either gone with them or made your own plans. Even his mom could have phoned you and told you, she has before. You could have also asked him if you could join them, but it would have been easiest if he had asked you. Both of you could have been more open about last night. You hardly said a thing on the phone when you were in between dad and I. Gradually you to will figure it out, how to talk openly about what is going on so that you won't have to break in another guy! Just joking. Please let people know where you are, leave me phone messages at home. If you are taking the car, have a good time, drive safe and let us know where you are. OK I love you, have a good day! Love Mom --------------------- Hey B.A. Brent I am sending this to you but I don't think you check your email very often so you might get this in September sometime! I hope your arm is feeling alot better today. You should try to do those little arm exercises the doctor has shown you from time to time like using your fingers to walk our arm up the wall, if that makes any sense! Dad and I have to leave at 10 to go golfing and I think we will be having dinner there but I am not sure, so I don't know when we will be back. Please try and make a list up of what kind of school supplies you think you will be needing and I will try to help you. Have a good day and get lots of exercise yourselves! Hope you don't sleep all day!! I love you Brent. Bye Love Mom ----------------------- Hi Nadia, Hope you eat proper today and try to go downstairs and boogey to the music! Have you done that stuff for Louise yet? It was last on the dining room table. Also make an appointment with her again, ok? Dad and I have to leave at 10 to go golfing and I think we will be having dinner there but I am not sure, so I don't know when we will be back. Have a good day and get lots of exercise yourselves! By Li3a (remember that?), my little noodle monster. For lunch or supper try the bag of pasta that we had last night for supper. It was yummy! Hopefully others will want some too. Love you always, Mom Annie at 8/29/2002 04:55:00 a.m. I took Nadia to the dentist and he said that Nadia has had too much sugar on her teeth so that just confirms what we already know. We can have no candy in this house. Brent's shoulder is really bothering him still so he was in all day. He helped James cleaning out the garage for a while and then had to quit so Nadia helped. We took Dave's truck and our van to the dump. April's poison ivy has spread back to her eyes so she has to be more careful. She has some girl friends over tonight. Brie came over and groomed our Caesar. He has knots around his neck. I made up a new email so I could store my diary so that I won't lose it if something happens to my hard drive like it did to James's. Apparently there is more space provided on Yahoo. I have to write it down because I know I will never remember! April had some friends over and they got into the Halloween costumes and had so much fun they streaked across the main streets all dressed up. They looked so silly and they were laughing so hard. They ditched Laura I don't know why. Erin and her old boyfriend (Cory's brother) were talking for the first time this summer since they broke up, I think, in front of our house. He looks like he has grown and thinned down too. I think Stacy is very discouraged with Jessie tonight. She came home early to get Jessie's call. She thought that they were going to do something because before he told her that if he was doing something else he would let her know in advance. This time he told her he would call her when he got off work. I guess his curfew has been changed and he wants to do everything all at once, I guess that included the guys. Stacy has been waiting for him to get off his 10:00 curfew, she even had to leave his place at 10 one night and I guess she thought they would be up late alone for once. I hate groundings because usually when you are first free of them are like a kid in a candy store. She wasn't exactly the easiest person to talk to when she was on the phone with him though. She was lying between James and I, and she basically grunted answers when Jessie phoned. He tried so hard to get back to her, I thought that it would be different. Oh well, at least they tried. I wonder if Stacy wants to go out with him? Did she go back to him so that no other guys will try to go out with her if everyone thinks they are together. I don't think my daughter wants a real relationship she doesn't look like she is trying. On her side, he has done a lot of stupid things shall I name them? Yes I will: Ignored her at parties, for hours. Degraded her in front of other guys (trade girlfriends, yours is prettier. Its funny the whole time he was saying this the guy couldn't believe that he would even compare the two. He thought he was an idiot to say that). He talked about her behind her back before she even went out with him. He was caught in a restaurant with another girl, who knows how many times he did it, he just got caught the once. My friends were warning me that he was having guys and girls over to his house without my daughter. Didn't even invite her. Going out with the guys was more important than going out with Stacy. It would be all right if he make the arrangements to see her himself. Would stand her up so that he could go out and managed to keep her at home away from everyone. Ruined her semi formal, didn't even want to go with her, wanted to meet up with the boys after he had already asked her to it. Lied about being sick and staying in when he was out with the boys but walking with the girl he ended up getting caught at Dairy Queen. Danced continuously with another girl and then denied it. He kissed a girl right in front of her and then denied it. Wrote to another girl asking to talk about sex. When she wanted to talk about a problem he would say that he loved her and that was all that mattered. Would drink so he wouldn't be accountable to anyone. So maybe they like it they way it is turning out again, she does her thing, he does his. Annie at 8/28/2002 04:44:00 a.m. I was cleaning up my bathroom when I found a note that Stacy had slipped in my travel bag when I had to take my mental health day last month. It said; We all love you always remember that mommy. I NEVER thought you did the wrong thing. All my friends love you and think you are the best mom so never change. Love Stacy It's a hug! (with two stick men hugging) That note really helped me out with the other crap I had to deal with today. I had to have a talk to Nadia about her weight. I have given suggestions throughout the summer about little things like getting a joe job, not staying in her pj's, body image, being more active... but today I laid it all on the table and I made her cry which really hurt me because I don't want to hurt her but she has to see what is happening. I want her life to be so happy and she is shutting doors left and right regarding health, relationships, career, I just hate seeing her do this to herself. I made Nadia and April walk to Gramma's and I just keep my fingers crossed that they keep it up. Brent wouldn't get up no matter how hard I tried and we talked about this a couple of times this weekend. My nocturnal son has to prepare for college, he is trying to change his sleep schedule, he needs proof of his English marks to do it and he needs to try to get a student loan so he can get a compulsory laptop. He wouldn't get up off the couch. I ended up punching the wall in frustration, and then swore. James got into it and Brent upset him like I have never seen. Monica babysat in place of April so she has April's job for the week, I guess. April still has poison ivy spreading to her hands. It looks and is very painful on her hands because it has swollen up the creases of her fingers. We went out to lunch with Marita and Dave to Don Cherry's. The older kids were brought up from time to time and I said that no kids grows up to do exactly what you want them to do. It is a matter of independence and you want them to have a mind of their own so at least there was no bashing of teenagers, which I hate except they said that Stacy drove around a corner a little too fast in my van. Yeah right, my tires squeal, there is something wrong with them, even Dave has told me that before. Stacy went shopping with Amy to buy pj's and some nude tops. They came over with Jodi and had an entertaining time reminiscing in the kitchen over a huge jar of peanuts. It is nice that their friendships have enough years behind them that they can look back and enjoy some of their antics. Later they went out with the van...oh no! Stacy and Jessie tried to get to get through to each other but there was something wrong with the phone and it wouldn't disconnect. Brent went bowling and Nadia went out with Derrick. I went to house league baseball games to take pictures where I saw Holly get a home run and throw a girl out at second. She is the main catcher for select too. Some of her mom's pressure has subsided so it is nice to see her relaxed and enjoying herself in sport. We have to consider what team Monica will go to since there will be 4 Novice teams and 14 vacancies. That is a lot of girls to scout. Monica fought with Stacy and Brent today. I told her not to be so stubborn and in both cases she should have backed down. With Stacy she fought over which top was hers, the white one or grey one. If she had put it away when she came home from the store, she would have known. The fact that Stacy volunteered to take her on her own, should make Monica realize that you don't bite the hand that feeds you and she should have been happy with either top whether Stacy was right or wrong. You have to back down and learn what battles to fight. Brent didn't want her in the family room when he was watching a movie with Dan, but Monica kept coming back in until he physically threw her out and then she came crying to me. Give it up Monica, he wanted privacy to be alone with his friends. Shit happens, I know so the note really put everything in line for me today. Peace out. Annie at 8/27/2002 04:24:00 a.m. ......NEWS FLASH!!! We actually had breakfast, bacon and eggs, all together, all seven of us!!!!! Brent had some friends in for pizza and a movie in the afternoon. I took Monica, Cody and Cory to Gramma's for a swim and then Gramma came over here for pork roast. She plays better with the boys than the girls, as if she has boy mentality. It doesn't stop her from kissing the boys though!! Stacy is out with Coral and Amy in the van. They amuse themselves while they cruise around town by masking their voices with different ethnic accents while they place orders from various fast food drive thru's. I don't know where they get that kind of behaviour???? Is a warped sense of humour inherited? Nadia took some pictures at the year-end house league softball banquet. April proudly displayed her poison ivy face for her first day out with her team mates. Nadia went to the movies with Derrick. I don't know what was going on but she looked upset when he came over and it looked like he was trying to make her feel better. Annie at 8/26/2002 04:02:00 a.m. Today was our niece's wedding. She is marrying her one and only boyfriend. They have been joined at the hip from the age of 17. She showed no interest in boys until him and hopefully they will beat he odds. To prepare Caesar for the long lonely day ahead of him, we all took him on longs walks. Can you imagine, the lucky dog got 7 walks this morning! It wasn't as hot as it has been most 99% of the summer, which was a relief because it was a rooftop wedding at Glenn Abbey. The two ministers that were related to Ryan forgot Laura's name at one point and Laura had to remind her that they forgot to do the kissing the bride part too. Laura looked beautiful she wore a beautiful natural smile the whole time. James kept saying that his dad should have been there and he would have loved the fact that it was at Glenn Abbey Golf Club. The wedding was held in the early afternoon so we got home fairly early. Stacy had Jessie over for a movie. They went to the bandstand in the park for a bit where Stacy sang, "I will survive" and tried to get Jessie to dance while he tried to cover her mouth. We went to James's brothers for the evening on his new deck. He has never been a handlyman but he did an excellent job. They phoned at 9:15 and I talked James out of bed and we had a great time. James drank 2 whole pots of decaf tea. James and I need to get out more so I was happy he phoned. When we got home everyone was in bed, I mean everyone! Brent went to bed at 7:30, his shoulder is really bothering him. Annie at 8/25/2002 04:52:00 a.m. Nadia's birthday and she is 20. Time sure flies and I can't believe we have a child that age. Are we getting old? I don't feel old yet! Monica woke up at 2am and was so excited about her birthday present to Nadia that she woke Nadia up at 2am to give it to her. It is a gizmo that you hold up to the computer and it can accept information from it. Stacy spent the morning with Jessie at breakfast at the Golden Griddle and then walked the dog before he had to work. The dog has become an accessory to every romantic walk, either that or a chaperone! Brent has been home all day lying on the couch; his shoulder is hurting a lot. We took April back to the doctor because the poison is spreading again. He increased the dosage and the pharmacists told people that when he saw her last Saturday, it was the worst case of poison ivy that he has ever seen, said her face was deformed when he saw her last. So she has been lying around keeping our doggie company, he still sees her as the beauty she always has been!! Who loves you baby? My dog does! We went to take Nadia to her birthday dinner but she had made plans with Derrick and Natasha and John at the Lone Star so James, Monica, April and I went to the Keg. We won't be back there for a while. They brought my prime rib out cold, sliced thin and in two pieces. There was so much fat on it that instead of taking it home with us as usual I couldn't even eat it. They actually tried to hide the lump of fat under the skinny slice and pass it off as a nice meal. I told them, for quality control, that piece should not have even been served. They gave me my meal free but James wasn't all that happy with his cut either. Annie at 8/24/2002 04:13:00 a.m. The bike at the side of the house has been stolen but Brandon Alexio's magically appeared in it's place a couple of weeks ago so I phoned his mom and told her that he should get it. I think that someone who had his bike got a flat and just used ours instead. We took April out of Nadia's bed. She has been in it since the Poison Ivy because that is where she first slept and she was better entertained there because of the TV. I bought her some new clothes but she really shouldn't try them on until school because she could re-infect herself with the poison ivy. We were told At Monica's game tonight that the play offs have been postponed till Sept because they forgot to requisition the umps. So now Monica can go to her cousins's wedding this weekend. Things always seem to have a way of working out for us! They played so well against the team that they lost to in the Provincials last week. Joe was teasing Monica that she only got to 3rd and 2nd so she must be getting slow, Monica challenged him that she is faster than him and said that a bad knee was only an excuse. When Joe went to throw in a foul, Monica said, "What's wrong can't you throw Joe". The volleyball sports camp said that Monica has a lot of skill and later Monica said that they kept using her as an example. Kids and Cars The sign stealing thing is still going on. Today we had a McDonald's sign, a big pylon and a carnival sign on our front lawn. If you are very observant you can also find a proud display of lawn ornaments congregating in various areas all over town. Just a phase, it will pass. Stacy worked late and then went with Jodi and Sandra to some girl's house and then to McDee's. I heard Stacy say that she was going to give Jessie's parents heck that he couldn't go out past 10:00 still. He usually works from 9 - 10 so going out is usually not possible. Stacy had trouble with the lock of the door of the van when she got off work, so James and I went over to help her. I don't like the idea of her being stranded all alone in a parking lot at night. I am upset with Dave and Marita. They aren't telling us that Josh rolled the truck, instead his story has changed a bit. It makes me upset because they are the one couple that we have told everything to and they hide something that can happen to any teenager. No big deal. We were there for a while and I left early because of that. Annie at 8/23/2002 03:07:00 a.m. I had what was suppose to be a complete physical with the Dr. but as usual it wasn't. I ended up sharing my doctor's appointment with Brent today. He is in a lot of pain over his shoulders. The doctor seems to think that he hurt it when he punched the wall at the Putting Edge on the 15th. I have been gaining weight lately so that is why I probably am tender in the breast area, here we grow again! The doctor said that I have never been normal in the way that I lose and gain weight so fast. James has always appreciated it though. He says that I always feel like a different person.???? OK. Nadia assessed a young pitcher on an out of town tier 1 team today. She says she has to work on the mental aspects a lot more. Nadia might be asked to coach her later. Nadia's women's league game and they lost, season over. Nadia and some friends might make up their own ladies team next year. April is starting to get antsy staying home. April said, "Thank you for being nice to me mom." Monica had Cory and Cody over extremely late until Brent told them it was time to go. Stacy drove herself to Jessie's for the evening but still had to leave by 10.00. He had to baby sit some cousins. So she was happy when Brent had some guys over for the evening. She really needs to be entertained ever since she as sick in June. I guess she is seeing life a little different now. James's computer is not working and we took it in thinking it was in warranty but it isn't. Maybe Visa will cover it. Annie at 8/22/2002 04:59:00 a.m. Nadia had another job interview for the Lacrosse Company. They want her to co-op there this year. It is such a long way though and I doubt if you could get there by a bus, it is too out of the way. Nadia went to Cirus de solet (whatever) tonight with Derrick and his whole family. That is Derrick's present to her for her birthday. Stacy went to the movies with Sandra and Jodi and they were going to try to meet up with Jake later, I think. He phoned her earlier. Brent went to the movies with them too. Brent has been coming home every night for most of August so things are getting back to normal here. We just finished watching Shallow Hal with April. We haven't even had any time to see any movies this summer with baseball Blockbuster's said the last time we rented one was in June I have to coax April into taking an Aveno bath for the poison ivy Annie at 8/21/2002 04:52:00 a.m. Monica started Volleyball camp this week at the college. It turned out for all the hype the other camps had this year, Durham was preferable because they are one of the few facilities that has air conditioning! She was hesitant at first because she is one of the youngest but her abilities still show through and she is still a leader even though she is smaller. It is so weird seeing he tell older kids where to stand and directing them. Nadia is driving a lot better, but she still needs more confidence. The first few minutes are always rough in the car but then Nadia starts to relax and she drives a lot better. She drives white knuckled, not a relaxed bone in her body. Nadia is a lot like her mommy in this respect. The redness in April's face is not as bad and there is definite improvement so she is pleased. She was so board tonight that she recorded herself singing on the phone messenger. Stacy was still trying to work things out with Jessie and she was having trouble expressing herself. I thought she wanted me to help make up her mind and I tried to say it was up to her but she wants me to help her with her words. She kept saying she didn't know if she wanted to or not, but it has been a month since they broke up and she is seeing a lot of Jessie still. Finally she told him how much he had hurt her but it really became clear later when she said that she had not been happy before they broke up and she doesn't know if they she can be happy again with him after all that has happened. She says she loves him but she is afraid of all the things that happened. She finally was able to express herself about exactly what she felt and it is now all out in the open. So she is going to give it a try with Jessie and she told him that if she couldn't be happy again they she would have to step back again. She doesn't want him to always try to prove it to her, she just wants to know if she can be happy with him again. They went out for a while, Booty came with them but he has to be home by 10:00 still. I got a concerned parent phone call about coaching, and its politics and they are just as involved as we are without trying to be. Seems another coach has a daughter on Dave's team who shows no interest in baseball but the parents can't see it. They are afraid that the father of the disinterested kid is going to get a squirt team. Annie at 8/20/2002 04:50:00 a.m. Brent is on a run, home for the night again. I wonder if Adam's parents got tired of them all staying over all the time? It is just nice to have him home. Stacy is talking to Jessie to try to figure out what their relationship should be. However it turns out, at least they are talking about it, which is good. Even if they don't go out they have to change the way it is because it is all up in the air. It is not fair to anyone this way. She is asking me to help her find the words to say to him, I don't know, it feels strange, she should know what she wants from him. I guess there is nothing wrong if she is the one actually asking and I am only agreeing with her. As long as she is talking...errr... writing to him, then she is communicating with him. That is all I have ever asked of her...to talk to people, get out of the shyness. Some of April's friends came over to keep her company. She put long sleeve top and pants on so her skin won't be exposed. April is being really brave about the whole thing even when people in our family are treating her like she has the cooties. Monica and I went to see the select squirts play, Holly is the catcher for them. Some of the parents were saying that they had regrets about not going rep with us, they miss Joe and James coaching, there is no one like them and they might try next year. Nadia came home from the cottage with Derrick. Caesar had been sick for the day. They gave him a sausage and they think that is what made him sick. No people food for Caesar! He chased ducks and buried his peanut butter bone many times. There was a major storm at the cottage and it really spooked Derrick and Caesar. It was right above them and the lightening was going right down to the water. I took Monica, Sam, Holly and Kate over to Gramma's to swim and wow was Sam ever Hyper! I went to take a picture of the girls and discovered that Brent had taken my camera over to Adam's. Oh no, once things go there they take eons to come back. The doctor said that if April doesn't improve tomorrow, she has to come back to increase the dosage. She looks so sore but she is still good natured. Annie at 8/19/2002 04:29:00 a.m. We woke up to April saying, "Mommy, I am ugly" When I finally focused on her I couldn't believe what I saw. Her face, it was swollen, with her eye almost shut and the skin looked like it was peeling right off. Poor April. I took her right away to the doctor and he said that it was a severe reaction to poison ivy and it could take up to 3 weeks. She has to take prednizone and something for the itch, Aveno baths and a cream. She can't put the cream on her face because it can ruin your pigmentation and that is where she is the worst. Monica's team lost there second game today in the sweltering heat. Unfortunately Joe made a coaching error that many people will wonder if it would have made all the difference because Monica was on 3rd a place that she almost always gets home on and she would have been the tying run. Joe forgot to announce a substitution and when he mentioned it they called the batter out to end the inning and that lost us the game. Game over for the provincials! Oh well, we came far in our first year at rep ball, no complaints. Stacy went out with Jessie, washed his car and went for ice cream. She was supposed to go out with Melissa's after she went out with Jessie but she couldn't get a hold of her. Jessie still has to come home early after he got in trouble last week. We went to Rozy's reception for her daughter's wedding and sat with Joe. While we were at the reception we got calls but no messages from home. It was Stacy and she needed to talk to me about Jessie. She is in a corner and she doesn't know how to get out of it. Steve wants to ask her out, she can feel it, but she has to fix or finish things with Jessie. She is very nervous about whether to go out with him or not and I know how much she likes him, I think this is just bad timing because of Jessie. Steve has shown her another aspect of guys and that is really talking, intelligent conversation, something I don't know, I haven't seen Stacy and Jessie do. Maybe because he is shy. She wants to try and fix things with Jessie because of their history together but they have a lot of fixing up to do. Steve dropped by, he was looking for the guys and came in for a while, no big deal but she doesn't want anyone getting the wrong idea. She kept trying to phone me to figure out what to do. He was trying to get his arm around her but she would keep leaving for the phone. Stacy has naturally hung out with Brent and his friends and Stacy started talking more about Steve. She realized that he might be interested in her after a while but she was still in contact with Jessie. When Stacy phoned and said that Steve was there, she was sure now that he was interested in her and she didn't know what to do. We came home early and I talked to her about what Jessie meant to her, whether she wanted to try and fix things up and she said that she really missed him but that she didn't know if he would ask her again because he had tried so hard and she didn't know now if it was too late. That night I was on icq with Jessie I basically said that if he was going to try again, now would be a good time. Stacy had asked me to help so I have a clear conscience. Brent went out with Josh, driving around for most of the evening and then back to Adams. I think driving around with Josh entails trails and ATV's on private property but I am only speculating. Annie at 8/18/2002 04:23:00 a.m. Four nights at home for Brent yeah!!! Stacy and Monica started to run together this morning. Lil'Mike has gone to B.C. to watch his dad in a marathon and perhaps participate in some of it. Nadia was still very upset this morning with Stacy and my feelings were hurt too but when I tried to talk about it she said that it was because we were asking questions about Jessie and her. What the....? I asked Nadia and she couldn't believe that either, said that we hardly talked about her and Jessie at all, to my recollection it was about one minute. Hannah said something, about questioning what they are to each other but we all have the right. She is not thinking straight at all. Can you imagine if no one asked about something as important as her relationships? What a lonely life that would be. All the times I asked questions about Derrick and all the talks I have had with Nadia and one minute worth of talking about Jessie is too much? Nadia and Derrick went to the cottage and brought Caesar with them. It is so quiet and empty feeling when our dog is gone away. Yeah Nadia too! Brent got kicked out of the Putting Edge last night for a swing that went out of control. He waited outside for his buddies and there was a fight out front of the door. Somehow some drunk tried to hit him and he ended up getting his fist scrapped. I don't think I have all the details, it does sound sketchy doesn't it? We had lunch with James business associate and when we were talking about Nadia he got confused when we said that she was the oldest. He thought Stacy was, when he met her he thought Stacy was older because she was very polished. Sheena is bothering Monica about pitching and it is really getting to Monica now. She shouldn't be telling Monica who is pitching; it should be her dad, Coach Joe. As soon as Sheena finds out she keeps taunting Monica about it. Tonight she told kids that she is faster than all the other pitchers in our area. Right. The other coach is getting tired of her attitude. April came home today and she had a good time except she has poison ivy on her arm. Stacy went out with Brent tonight. Brent said that I shouldn't worry about Stacy with him and his friends because he really trusts Steve, because he is a good guy and likes Stacy. He trusts Rich because he would never try anything on her. Stacy loves talking to Steve, talks about him all the time and I think she is realizing how good it is to really talk to a guy. Annie at 8/17/2002 04:06:00 a.m. Brent has been home for 3 nights in a row! I forgot that I had to take Monica to practice and gave Stacy the car, but we got her there late. Nadia, Stacy and I bought a dog trimmer at Petcetra and Stacy did a great job of trimming Caesar's hair. He laid on the table and stayed perfectly still for her while she groomed him. She is very patient. After we went to the Sports Garden and while we were there we discovered that Jessie's parents Mario and Hannah were there upstairs tucked out of the way. Nadia had the idea of sending him a drink and saying it was from "the three lovely ladies". We peaked his interest and he came around the corner and laughed when he saw us. Hannah is looking great. Jessie came later and we ended up sitting with them and their Biker friends. Stacy and Jessie weren't talking, just sitting together which was weird in light of everything that is going on, there should be something said. Nadia got the giggles and was so funny, I couldn't help but laugh and she only had two Mike's Hard Lemonade. I think it struck her as funny that bikers were all around us and she was drinking with her mommy! I guess it is strange. On the way home Stacy just turned nasty, I don't know why. Maybe she saw that email from Jenn to Jessie all on her own, she really didn't look comfortable with Jessie tonight. She actually got mad that she couldn't go out to Adam's at 11 at night. She was mean to both Nadia and me and after we had such a nice night. I don't know where her head was or her usual sweet disposition but to heck with that. It was very upsetting. Annie at 8/16/2002 04:56:00 a.m. Mom came over today and took Monica, Stacy and I for lunch, which was nice. She came back later too, why, because she knew James was out of town. Brent went over to fix the computer, he needs Gramma's password but she has forgotten it. She slipped him a 20 for it. Nadia's Lady's League won their 2nd play off game so they play next week. They wanted us to come for a drink but I have been there twice this week and my family plans on going tomorrow. Stacy left a message on the phone but she forgot to say exactly where she went but it was around 10. Brent went to a movie first so she didn't want to go because she has already seen it. I am trying to get Stacy to go out as much as possible because she is bored out of her mind, I guess with being sick and Jessie and her not really seeing much of each other. Brent doesn't like guys paying her attention so she is safe with those guys. Jessie talked to her when she got home from work then his parents said he could go out until 10 but she already said she was going out so. Brent said that he was going to the movie but they didn't and Stacy phoned him again. They were at the food court and they stayed for hours but Brent didn't offer to get her so she just sat at home. Annie at 8/15/2002 04:50:00 a.m. Brent was home to sleep last night!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW. Brent took a huge sliver out of the inside of Caesar's paw pad today. He was limping but he didn't cry. Because my dog is a tough guy. James went to Ottawa and will spend quality business time at a golf tournament on Thursday. I really like the way Derrick drops in unexpectedly to visit Nadia even if it is only for a few minutes. I just wish Nadia wouldn't hang around in her pj's, he keeps catching her in them. Nadia and Derrick went to the mall shopping for his clothes and bought denim pants, which he never usually wears. Monica and Holly hung around today. They have hardly seen each other this summer! Jodi came over with frozen Strawberry Daiquiris and she shared them with Stacy and I. I miss April. I hope she is having fun at the cottage with Erin. I went with the coach for Monica's game in the grandparent's van. Oh yeah it is sooo nice. Everyone is speculating who is going to coach next year and what for what teams. For James's own good I hope he coaches because he has to focus on something so that he won't lie down all the time. Coaching is what is keeping him in the game of life! If he is sick then coaching is keeping him concentrated. After the game, Monica and I went to the Sports Gardens and had a nice evening alone. Stacy went out to Jodi's in the evening and to the court later where she bumped into Brent and his friends so they drove her home. I dropped in for a moment to see if they wanted to go to the sports Gardens with me and Monica, but no. Woody and Rooney asked Stacy to hang out with them but I guess Stacy still has an alliance for Jessie because she is going out of her way not to hang out with other guys. Jessie would go, mental; if she hung out with those two so she probably did the right thing even though they are nice guys. I wish she had of because she can't put a proper perspective on her feelings if she doesn't experience other groups of guys when they asked her out to hang with them, not to date one of them. Annie at 8/14/2002 04:46:00 a.m. OK, I am flipping out here. Yesterday Stacy opened Jessie's hotmail account, to see if he changed the password and she was happy to see that he didn't so he still trusts her. She left the computer and hours later I came onto the computer and it was still open. I refreshed the screen, I don it by habit and noticed an email from a girl Jenn with the subject; I AM SOOOOOOOO SORRY. I couldn't help but open it and here it is Hey Sexy! Hows it goin? Not Good I guess OMG. I feel so fucken bad. Holy shit I feel SO bad. I truly want to cry. I'm such an IDD. I made u stay and Im SO SORRY!!!! If theres anything I can do to make it up to ya lemme know. Oh I hate my life cuz I got u in trouble. Are your friends mad at you? I hope not. I feel SOOOOOOOOOOOO bad!!!! Are U mad at me? Im sorry. Well I'm still really glad I saw u last night! hmmm we'll do that again sometime eh? Shit Jessie I am so Sorry. I will definately talk to u later. I'll call ur cell or something. Luv, Jenn Now I know why Jessie asked her if there was anything wrong yesterday, he was feeling guilty. I know they aren't going out and I had no business opening even though it was in my face on my computer. I can't even say 'if he hurts my daughter...' because he already has. That is why they broke up and ever since he is trying desperately to get back with her. He begs me to help him get back with her! He is making it my business and I am trying to stay out of it. Maybe he has found someone else now, or it was this Jenn girl trying for him? I guess his actions in the next while will tell. How can I tell my daughter? If I do I am really interfering and Steve is trying for Stacy, same difference, it is whether he acts on it that will tell the story. If I tell Stacy about it will she run into Steve's arms? If Jessie still wants Stacy then this was a DUMB move on his part but then he has done some incredibly dumb things in the last while. Nadia got her hair done in ringlets and lit a plethora of candles in the basement to celebrate her fake anniversary with Derrick like they did last year. Brent phoned about his refund from Humber and they said they didn't get his withdrawal but that is not true because they acknowledged it with James and told Brent earlier that his account was flagged for a refund. We are watching Monica closely because we don't think she is eating properly all of a sudden. Maybe this is why she has been getting the runs. She is worrying us. It is not nerves, she has nerves of steel and always has competed under intense pressure in just about any sport you can name. Stacy hung out with Jake tonight, which was a long time coming. She felt uncomfortable about it before when she was going out with Jessie but at least if Jessie and her ever get back together hopefully they will set some rules up about what they both expect of each other. They watched a movie and played some pool. Jake always tried hard to keep her friendship even when the romance part didn't work out so I trust him a lot. Now I have a question. Does Stacy know about Jenn, did she read the email and leave it open for me to read? Is seeing Jake tonight payback? I hope not. I hope it is because she wants him to be a friend. Annie at 8/13/2002 04:36:00 a.m. Nadia's tournament. Sarah was pretty upset about the coaching and was verbal about it to Big Al who is on the executive. At one point she was talking to him and the coach's daughters were right behind her. She was upset when the coach pulled Nadia after Nadia had pitched to 8 batters and no one came home. He should have kept her in. It was very uncomfortable. The part about Nadia's team that I hate the most is that when they are disgruntled they usually use the fact that the coach isn't playing Nadia as he should and so people must assumed that it is Nadia that is gripping, but it is the girls who know how the team should be coached that are complaining. I think the coach takes it out on Nadia, focus's just on her and she isn't saying anything behind his back at all. Jake was there with his mom to watch his sister play. Stacy and I went to No Frills and she talked to Jessie. He said that he might be grounded for last night. He said he was at Ragoo's and went swimming. His phone wasn't working and he wanted to let his shorts dry before he came home. His parents were worried and so they phoned Shane's looking for him and Shane didn't know where he was. He came home about 2:30 am. Let's think this thing out. The phone wasn't working, yeah he used that on Stacy when he just didn't want to talk to her. There was a phone at his friends. My kids go swimming and then they come home in the car wet, it is no big deal. Lets really think about it. He knows he will get in trouble and the wet shorts is such a little deal that we all know that he would come home with wet clothes, anyone would if it was the difference between getting in trouble or not. His friends didn't know where he was. Right, they knew where he was earlier in the night and I think he was with his friends earlier but when they all went home, he didn't. He was with someone that he didn't want anyone to know he was with. And it had to be pretty important to be that late and we know that he will get in trouble, Jessie knows that. His parents are very strict that way. Was it worth it? Who was he with? I just get a sick feeling that he might have done something that will get him in trouble with Stacy when he is trying to patch things up. I really hope I am wrong. Jessie will be in Niagara Falls for a couple of days with his parents for Mario's riding club. Brent came home from Washago and the campgrounds he went to was run by Hell's Angels. He said that they were very strict about letting you in the park with booze in bottles and would randomly check people in the campgrounds late at night and they even had barbed wire fence surrounding the camp and a tower of some type where they had surveillance. They ran a tight ship. People fought in the night and they would kick everyone on the site out. He said it was intimidating. Monica was very upset today because Spencer teased her about her complexion. I told her, the odds were that his face will break out 100 times worse when he is older. Annie at 8/12/2002 04:23:00 a.m. We were in Port Perry for Stacy's playoff's. We had a close game, lost 9-8 but we had been winning all game. Megan was complaining again. When she missed a fly ball, instead of acknowleging that she made a booboo, she told China to make sure the fielders were ready before she pitched. Yeah right. The coach put Stacy in a lot of infield positions today and she was doing so well, he was laughing about it. He yelled, "Stacy let someone else play the ball!" She looked very good and was hitting solid as usual. It is just too bad she was injured this season, he really didn't know her worth until the end of the season. We went to the coach's for some drinks while Stacy horsed around in the pool. She said one of the guys was very rough. It was hard finding his place because Towline has some dead ends. It was pretty late on the way home, when all of a sudden Stacy yells, "Stop, there's Mario!" All we saw was a guy that looked like him from the distance, light up a cigarette. Stacy told us to back up and talk to him. James quickly swung around in reverse and went to cut off the bikers (there was about 8 of them), but at the last moment we saw the Hell's Angels insignia on their backs. Freeze!!! We joked that unless Mario's club had reversible vests then that was definitely a bad move and we got out of there fast. Annie at 8/11/2002 03:56:00 a.m. Nadia has a skin irritation on her chest that really is concerning me. April is going on a camping trip with Erin and had to be ready tonight. They will be leaving right after the Brampton Tournament tomorrow. She is sleeping at the Erin's tonight because they both have to be in Brampton by 7am! Brent phoned from his camping trip and asked Nadia to get us to send him money. No, we really shouldn't do that. He has to be accountable for himself and other people have jobs so that they can do things that they enjoy. Stacy, Jessie and Nadia and Derrick went to Yuk Yuk's tonight. Jessie came over after at 12:00 HMMMMM. He stayed for an hour. Monica took the dog for what was supposed to be a half hour walk and ended up being 50 minutes. We were going to ground her but the dog had got away from her after he gave her a rope burn. Gramma's pool is has not been working properly and it was to have cost $500.00 to repair but when they dug down to where the leak was to be, they discovered the pipes had been laid to close to the pool so they would always have a leakage problem. The new prices would be $1300. James talked to Toni and they are both going to put in $500.00 which is a good idea since Gramma doesn't even use the pool herself. Annie at 8/10/2002 03:08:00 a.m. Brent was up all night doing laundry and rifling through his room looking for the information about when his driving test was. He finally found it, missed his exam by two days so he has to pay $25.00 to be tested. He also found his drivers license, which has been missing for a long time. When he was pushed in a pool, he dried out his wallet and misplaced his driver's license. They were in the pocket of the pants he wore for April's graduation! He is getting ready for a camping trip today. Monica was running with lil'Mike as they do every morning. This morning Cory and Cody were waiting for him so he told Monica that he was going to go home because he wasn't feeling well. Monica came home and then realized that lil'Mike had probably told the guys that Monica was having trouble keeping up with him so he wanted Monica to cut out early. Monica waited in a bush and sure enough he came running arund the corner with the boys. She tried to scare lil'Mike but ended up making Cory just about jump out of his skin. She is very perceptive. Nadia's driving instructor has given her a couple weeks to practice before the next lesson. He wants her to try and get out with us more and practice. Nadia needs to get her confidence up. She feels better about going out on her lesson but still has no desire to want to drive. Until she has that desire I am not going to push her into her license at all. She has to want to do it. Brandon Alexio has lost his license for two months. He didn't tell his parents about the first 6 points so he didn't even fight it and then he lost 3 more points. It is a tough lesson to learn because he should have been right up front with his parents. His mom is a lawyer and his dad is very good at fighting his own tickets but in any case he should have admitted it to them when it happened. He has lent his new $1500.00 car sound system to Adam. Brent has gone to Washago beach with about 20 other people. James and I both gave Brent $20.00 without the other knowing but he never asked either of us for money, so I guess it is ok. Monica has cut her foot twice, one when she tripped over the garbage that had broken glass in it but she was still able to pitch. Coach Joe called time; walked up her on the mound "Pappa bear wants to know what is wrong?" It made her smile and she said, "Apparently the ump doesn't know where the strike zone is." Stacy had a great bat tonight at baseball. She drove in the first 2 runs, got hit at bat and scored and then drove in 2 more runs to win the game. It was 6-5 against Ajax, the Ajax coach personally congratulated her. Her sore leg muscle didn't hamper her running tonight. Maybe the spinning classes helped. The league softball president wants to make sure that James keeps on coaching for next year. She recommended that Monica should be tier 1. She said that Monica should be tier 1 but she doesn't know who is going to be the tier 1 coach for next year. That would really ruffle some feathers. I don't want any hard feelings what so ever. Nadia bought a couple hockey shelves with Derrick, they are cute. I bought a new comforter set and I just hope the kids try to keep the dog off my bed. It is the only piece of furniture he regularly jumps on. Annie at 8/09/2002 04:24:00 a.m. Mom dropped in around 5 when she was supposed to be at my brother's for supper. She told me that she wanted Adam to pay her $70 to $80 dollars a week for boarding at her house. I explained that he couldn't afford it and that Brent and him would be in and out and would probably not eat there and if they didn't they would buy there own food. She couldn't understand that there would be advantages for them to be in and out there and they would probably hook her up to a computer and the internet but all she could see is that see might be out some money for food. I kept telling her to forget about it and she kept getting madder and madder. I doubt Brent And Adam will even stay there that much but it would have given her a chance to be with her grandson more. I told her Brent and Adam were a package deal and that Adam was Brent's transportation. She just doesn't get it or she just wants to fight with someone again. I don't even want Brent to know that she was saying those things. She is weird sometimes. Went to the Sports Gardens in between April and Nadia's ball games. I didn't have my visa and I panicked until the waiter said Interact. Stacy had to go back and forth to the Rec three times today for spinning classes. She took a class for Cutie Pie Jessie. I am glad that they both feel a responsibility to cover for each other. Monica and April have spent the last couple of days playing with their Gameboy. They hadn't touched it in eons and all of a sudden they are hooked. Annie at 8/08/2002 04:50:00 a.m. Mental note: do not let Caesar out without a leash on garbage day. I guess the different smells are all too much for him and we just end up playing head games when he gets loose! Stacy starts this week babysitting at the rec in addition to her classes she runs so she should get a good pay check. Derrick and Nadia took the dogs for a long walk today. Derrick is on a two-week vacation. He is very fond of Caesar, almost feels guilty since he has his own dog but Caesar is so big that they can wrestle each other. They have a ritual, every time they greet each other at the door Caesar sits on his hind legs while Derrick puts his paws on either side of his shoulders. April spent $60.00 of the $120.00 we gave to her for Wonderland and since she was with us for 2 days and grounded for 2 other days, so she spent it in 3 days. She spent it on her friends as usual. My bangs were shagging me out so I got my hair cut at Mario's. We talked about Stacy and Jessie a bit but not the whys or what happened. That is between them. Mario has reminded Jessie of his commitment to hockey this year because he might not have time for anything else. I wonder if that also means no time for Stacy? They will just have try real hard to make the time if they are trying to get back together. That commitment might be very good for him. All I know is that Jessie works a lot of hours and hockey will be using up a lot of time too. He has to keep up the work, the car payments, and his rates probably will go up because of the accident. I do admire him for his work ethics. I hope everything works out for the two of them. They have a lot of history together and a lot of good times. Stacy just has to get over the hurt and Jessie has to show himself and her that he knows how to treat her. I think he can do it. He has to learn how to make plans, both Stacy and his mom say he always says, "I don't know" where planning anything is concerned. Stacy has been like that too but she is changing fast. The drinking has to be watched and she has to get together with his friends more for it to work out. They have to have fun again. I feel guilty here thinking that maybe Stacy should get back with Jessie. It is not for the right reason for me; it is for my piece of mind, my convenience. I don't like not knowing where she is. With Jessie at least I know where she is and I know she is probably with his parents. I thought I would like her hanging out with Brent and his friends but it seems that Brent has pawned Stacy off on Steve. Steve ends up taking care of her and he drives her home when I thought Brent would take that responsibility. I sponsored Mario for $20. 00, for a ride for Breast Cancer. Mario mentioned me getting a ride on his bike. That would be fun and maybe a little scary. Hannah is back riding with him. April spent most of the day at home being quiet with Game Boy. She has been avoided Laura's phone calls, says they are boring so I don't know what is happening there, but I am not upset about it. Monica has lost about 10 pounds this summer so we have to keep our eye on that. She is so active, I can see that happening but 10 pounds is a lot for a 12 year old. It might be why she has had about 4 bouts of the runs this summer, not eating properly. Jessie came to visit Stacy after work. He will be at his dad's until Friday. These absences are all bad timing for Jessie as I am sure Steve is paying Stacy a whole lot of attention and she is enjoying his intelligence. Stacy really has hurt a muscle in the top of her leg. We watched her game with the league president. They had her as a designated hitter but finally had a courtesy runner when China pointed out that she shouldn't be the runner. The league president doesn't want James to stop coaching, says that he is a natural and they need him. James went back to the doctor because the medicine is hurting him again. James told the Dr. that he really doesn't think he has Crohns, and I have to wonder too. James doesn't fit the profile of the disease, for one thing he should have lost a lot of weight by now and he hasn't at all. The doctor assured him that he has the disease and that it is a lifetime of maintaining your health with drugs. There is a long shot that it could be an infection but he doubts it. James wants to try that route, he doesn't have anything to lose except have the colon exam sooner that he should so he said, "Go for it!" The new stuff is an antibiotic and he can't have any alcohol, even a mouthful will make him violently ill, so I will have to drink for him. I will rise to the challenge. It is after all, for my man! Annie at 8/07/2002 04:55:00 a.m. I was at the front door noticing men's sandals and wondering who was in the basement when Derrick came up. He didn't see me as he went to the bathroom and I made a noise and boy did he jump out of his skin. Scarred the begeebers out of him. He shrieked, I just laughed, we didn't way a word. Nadia and Derrick are hurting a lot from all their fun on the Slip and Slide. It's a good hurt and I think she is slowly starting to lose some weight (I hope). Caesar hunted down a mouse today so now he is a man dog! The great blonde furry warrior. We think he brought it in from outside. Stacy screamed when she saw it on the floor, Caesar bolted and jumped up on the chair! Monica wasn't feeling well at her game tonight so I had to take her home quick. It was a good thing we were only a block from home and that James had his car because she just made it home in time. Diarrhoea again. Talked to a 'concerned' parent about Stacy and Jessie. She knew that Serina was involved in them splitting up. She says Serina is a very needy person and has to have a boyfriend telling her how great she is. She actually stands her friends up even when she is already out with them. So all these people thought it was her old boyfriend Jessie C. controlling her and she turned out to be the one who needed it? HMMMM. The same thing is happening with her boyfriend Terrien only worse. Her friends are disillusioned with her. Jessie also asked another girl to go out with him to talk about Stacy but her mom wouldn't let her. I guess he doesn't realize that it would be the same situation if he ws with a girl alone again, why Stacy and Jessie broke up in the first place. Not the smartest way to handle his problems. Oh well its his life. Stacy had a game tonight and Jessie and some of his friends came and so did Amy and Coral. This is the first game Jessie has showed up at all season but he didn’t even stay for the whole game. Stacy was benched one inning and when she went to put things in her bag her coach chewed her out for talking to the Jessie and the boys. But he didn’t notice that for the entire inning she sat on the bench watching the game. They played well and Megan and her dad weren't there. Apparently he had words with the coach after the Brantford tournament at a gas station. It is finally cooling down in the evenings after a summer of steamy nights. Amy came up to me after the game and wondered why April called Jessie Stacy’s boyfriend and I said that it is because we don’t talk about it because it is between them only, that the rest of my family didn't know they had broken up. Then she asked if they were really broken up and I said yes. She said that they shouldn't get back together, that it wouldn't be good for Jessie and it wouldn't be good for Stacy. I don't understand what she is getting at, but I just said that Stacy and Jessie have to work it out themselves. I did talk to Stacy about it later and told her that her friend doesn't want them getting back but it was up to her, and not to let people manipulate her. She says she really misses Jessie and she is wondering what to do. Annie at 8/06/2002 04:36:00 a.m. Went to dinner at the Keg with Marita and Dave, they just got back from a weeks vacation in Arrowhead. I know, I know it never works out for me there and today was no exception. They can't seem to cook my meat medium. It is either blood red or a shrivelled up tough tiny portion of animal product. Stacy went out to dinner with Jessie tonight but she dropped him home early around 9. His parents say he is out too much. They are not helping him in his bid to win back Stacy by making him come home early. If he is fighting for her, they should let him have more freedom. Perhaps they are thinking whatever happens.... After she dropped off Jessie she went out with Amy to Timmy's. Monica spent a lot of time out with Cory again. I really have to have a facts of life talk with her, she is spending all her time with him. She braided her hair in many braids for tomorrow. Her tom boy ways are still there but her appearance is definitely turning to the feminine ways! April has a bunch of girls over tonight. You can always hear her friends laughing; she can brighten up any room with her humour. Nadia came in late. Annie at 8/05/2002 04:21:00 a.m. Stacy pitched the morning game; did really well, walked only two batters, but they lost from an error that brought in 3 runs. As usual there was an argument brought on by one grouch with people on her team again, this time with the coach and made her cry. There are about 4 girls that only socialize with each other, but the rest of the team fits in. April and the flirty chick ended up being friends and the girl even phoned long distance to April after we got back. Its funny how things work out. Nadia took Monica to breakfast the corner Diner, they have a new sign which is good considering there were no donuts at the Donut Press! Then she took Monica to Derrick's for a swim and frozen yoghurt, which Monica has never tried before. It was nice of Nadia to take Monica under her wing for part of the day, that is what big sister's are remembered for! Derrick and Nadia bought a Slip and Slide, memories from childhood, and played with it until it was broken. Playing is such an important part of a relationship and I am glad they have found their inner kid for the element of fun. I love hearing Nadia scream with laughter, I wish I could have been there. She is staying at Derrick's tonight. Brent was home for a while, he said that Serina is after Steve Willey now and Steve thinks it is just gross. Brent never did like her from when she went out with Adam and hated the way that it looked like she was messing around on Brandon. She is doing everything she can to get back at Adam for him breaking up with her. Stacy has the van to go to a movie with Amy. She saw Brent at the movies. Sometimes that is the only way I get to know where Brent is, by other people bumping into him. Annie at 8/04/2002 04:11:00 a.m. We had to leave for Brantford early because James had a Business lunch date. He took us to Boston Pizza's on the patio in the west end while he went out for his business lunch. We left the restaurant as scheduled but James was late. My boared kids mused themselves by singing, they didn't care who heard. I guess it is easier to do when no one could know you. It was fun to hear Stacy and April singing so much. They had a lot of fun singing 'Sunny Days.' We were at an Indian Reserve near Brantford for the provincial qualifiers for Stacy. China had a hard time pitching two innings and we found out later she re-injured her knee. Stacy did pitch the rest and did great pitching but the second inning had already hurt us. April told Stacy to tell Mac that she likes him which she shouldn't have because everyone on the team knew about it and they teased Mac and everyone was watching there every move. It was uncomfortable to watch. April was upset when she saw another girl flirting with him, and boy did she, she is older, 15. Boys seem to be really impressed when older girls pay them any attention especially when cleavage is involved! He even denied having a girlfriend. I hate seeing my kids hurt. I would like to tell April that every girl goes through that kind of pain but I know it doesn't feel like it at the time it happens. I am glad April could talk to me about it. The girls were given hooded sweatshirt, really nice. Annie at 8/03/2002 04:20:00 a.m. Monica woke up nicely today and went out on her run with lil'Mike and actually did 9 laps, 10 would have been 7 Ks. She came home in distress and lil'Mike had suggested that she get in a pool to cool off so I took her to Gramma's with Caesar. Went to Centennial College with Brent to pay his tuition. Brent and I saw something that we should have never seen. It was a gay dwarf with her girlfriend being affectionate. Ewwww. We had to go to Newmarket for Monica and Stouffville for Stacy tonight for softball. Stacy was harassed by a large group of kids at a basketball court when she was out in right field. They wanted her to bend over and when she got in the ready position they cheered. The umps said that if they bothered her anymore, they would phone the police. They were only bothering my daughter, and it was hard to watch her discomfort. It was nice to hear her swear at them though. Brent was home for most of the day today. It was great to have him around, he is good to talk to. Annie at 8/02/2002 04:53:00 a.m. I woke up beside Laurie, with a big dog stretching between us and one of her four cats on top of me. I didn't dare touch it because that is when my allergies show. I went back to April's when Laurie went to work. I met her son Tyler, 19 who was nursing a hang over but even then he was so pleasant, really nice. I have had time to do some soul searching. Why did I get so upset in the last couple of days? I am trying to be as honest as I can with myself so this is what I think was really bothering me. First and foremost, I want Stacy to be safe. Jessie seems safe. Other guys don't seem to bother her too much since they have gone out; partly because he is a popular guy, and probably because people are a little respectful that his dad is a biker. I could be wrong but I have seen the looks that Mario gets at the hockey rink, they think he is tough, he scares people. So part of it is that. The other part, and this is hard to admit, is that I want her to feel passionate about life, to be deliriously happy and when she is upset, to let it all hang out. She has never been ga ga about a movie star, a band or a singer, or a boy for that matter, most girls do don't they? But she always holds back on the living. I believe that Stacy always does what is proper, what she thinks is the right way. I have never grounded her or scolded her. I can't say to her, "Damn it, Stacy break your curfew, mess up sometimes, if you love someone, break the rules." But sometimes I feel that is what she should do. then again, I want her to be safe, so stay with Jessie if she can or she wants, but feel the heat girl! But maybe she wants to be just safe too, maybe that is all she can handle for now. Whatever the right thing to do, she will do, what ever that is. The passion will come for her one day hopefully, so that she can really love life! I decided to come home early because Monica's baseball equipment was in my trunk. When I got home my kids were cleaning up and they had a huge bouquet of flowers for me. The card said 'We love you and appreciate everything you do for us!' They had done some deep cleaning for me around the entire house so I just hope that continues. It would take a big weight off my shoulders and then maybe I could get other things done. Stacy received a dozen yellow roses, her favourite colour from Jessie. He is being very thoughtful. It is just too bad that all her roses are 'I'm sorry roses', she would like them more if guys gave them to her just because they are content with her. It turns out that it is his group of friends that have got the Eternity tattoos. It is a small world but it had to be kids I knew because I heard it at Shopper's near the high school. Jessie is thinking of getting it too. I don't know but how do they know that they are going to be friends for "eternity"? Shane and Jessie look incredibly close and the only other person that I know who has it is Kevin so what about Kevin? Are they are really best friends? How would Jessie like to have the same 'E' if Kevin did something dirty to Jessie in the future. You really don't know who all your friends are so I am not one for that tattoo. James is golfing for business and then sailing so he won't be home tonight. Stacy had an out of town game that her coach took her to. While I was trying to get Nadia to her game I got a frantic phone call for Monica to play up to Novice Rep. We couldn't find her uniform at first and was about to go snaky but then she pulled herself together and got ready. We got her there at 6:30 right when the game started so the team was relieved. They asked her if she was the pitcher in the gold metal game so news travels. Nadia was to play too but four teams showed up so I took Monica to The Sports Garden and told Nadia I would buy her a drink if they didn't play. They didn't get the diamond so she came with the whole team. I really enjoyed it, we should do things like that more often. This July has been the second hottest month of July on record. Brent has taken his computer to Adam's along with parts that made up another computer when he combined them with Adam's parts and one form Brandon Alexio. He offered his bed to Monica for the night but she didn't take him up on it. Annie at 8/01/2002 04:48:00 a.m.
