Peaces Of Me++++
++++ The miles just keep rollin as the people leave there way to say hello I've heard this life is overrated but I hope that it gets better as we go |
Wednesday Jan 30/02 Contacts have never been pleasurable for me. I received an eye injury the first time I ever tried to wear contacts. The doctor jammed his finger in my eye so hard that I still have the bloodshot scar. Even a few hours with contacts leaves my eye scratchy and irritated. I am going to try to wear contacts only in my left eye. I have perfect vision up close and when I have both contacts I lose my reading ability so I suggested that I try only one contact. April's eye infection is finally gone but he doesn't want her to wear contacts for some time- at least six months if at all. We had Derrick, Jessie and Crystal's car all parked outside- all visiting at the same time! It was crowded out in the driveway! It just seems like yesterday that those cars were bikes and skateboards are strewn over the lawn. Stacy went to breakfast at Golden Griddle, spent most of the day here with Jessie. That is probably the longest he has ever stayed at our house. Crystal woke Brent up at 11, shaving cream was involved (been there, done that) and she went screaming for me through the house as he chased her. Derrick and Nadia went to Montana's and the movie Oceans 11. She came home in a great mood, happy just to be. Monica has no idea what to buy a boyfriend, shakes her head to every suggestion. After searching out the entire mall, I put my foot down and pushed her into buying Cory a police flashing dome light. Monica thinks it is a foolish gift even though it impressed Brent so much that he told Adam about it. It was half price- $15. Cory is still a kid, they both are- just 12 years old. Monica is trying too hard to be in a grown up relationship. I keep telling her that she has already gone out with him a long time for kids and not to expect too much out of it. Went to Mark and Carrie's for a hot tub and it was scalding hot! I felt like I was being cooked for supper! Monica had a tantrum about April being in their bedroom while she changed her clothes. Unbelievable- we have to have some serious talks about losing it with Monica. Maybe I should watch her menstrual cycle to see if that is the problem. PMS for a preteen? Annie at 1/31/2002 04:49:00 a.m. April experienced a slice of the real world today as their class participated in a business enterprise project. I opened the gym doors to a flood of colourful booths manned by kids dressed in business suits, clown outfits painted faces all showing off their wares. Their imaginations were their only limitations. The only kids that looked like they were not enjoying the learning experience were the ones whose parents made up all the signs and cookies. There were about 7 tables all set up in the gym with different businesses and the rest of the school was allowed to shop. April's group proved to be original in that they offered the only beverages. They blended the snow cones themselves, since the ice and syrup hardly cost anything they really cleaned up, even ran out of juice mix. They made $54. The loan is paid off with the profit going toward their school trip. Of course there were some parents that tried to interfere by complaining about some of the kids selling tactics. One parent slipped their own kid extra money so that their booths would have the most profit. While their heads were turned the kids went to other booths and spent the money. It was an impressive endeavour. I took many pictures for their grade 8 video. It will be sad to see the teacher who organized it leave, he has accepted a vice principal position and this is his last week here. Maybe my recommendation helped! I took Brent to get his hair cut at Mario's. He has a new store sign in his own name! He was concerned with Hannah being so ill, he asked me to phone her and talk her into going to the doctor's. I was concerned when he said that he couldn't even keep water down for the last 3 days. I tried to contact my brother Mark at home for lunch so that maybe he could help, but he phoned from the clinic to say that he couldn't even have lunch because there were so many people in the waiting room. I think that it is so sweet that Mario was so worried that he asked someone else to talk to her. The big ol tough biker really loves his wife. James went to the doctors today, they are treating him for Colitis, with antibiotics. They say he has had it for a long time based on the symptoms James has described. This is such a shock, we have no medical and the medication is extremely expensive. What are we going to do? Monica used MSN tonight. I was snoozing in Nadia's bed aware that Monica snuck in to check to see where I was. Then April came running in a while later with Monica racing behind her. Monica blurted out that she was on MSN on my computer before April could tell on her. She was really upset with herself and apparently a guy on icq talked her into it, which really concerns me. I don't like boys talking my girls into anything they aren't supposed to do especially when it wasn't her boyfriend who wanted to talk to her. She is off the computer for a week. Why do they need 2 messenger services on the same computer? Annie at 1/30/2002 04:34:00 a.m. The little bear woke up from its hibernation snarling and growling. It screamed and yelled at everyone, even the kids that were asleep. It is a horrible feeling to be wakened from a sleep by someone yelling. Turns out that it wasn't a bear but my little Monica who didn't have her homework completed. She has to learn self-control. Everyone is complaining about her temper at home. Outside of school she is so calm so cool, a team leader. Crystal plopped herself in my bed, gave me a huge hug and then lay beside me to thank me for letting her stay here all last week. I have had some good hugs from her lately. She asked how come when we know that Jessie is coming everybody cleans, same with Derrick, but when she comes it is "Crystal why didn't you open the door yourself?" Pretty cute, she is. Stacy went downtown Toronto with about 6 of her girlfriends. I received a panicked phone call pleading with me to quickly bring her wallet to the GO Station. I drove up just in time to see the train pulling in but she made it on the train. It is a good thing she is a track star! Nadia took the computer exam today for the course that she is trying to be exempt from. She said that the Excel part was a lot harder than expected but the Excel section was only worth 25% of the mark. She knew all the rest so she is not worried about passing. She has taught the other programs, she feels she did great even on the Excel section. It will only show up as Nadia having the credit and not the mark anyway. She talked her way out of having to pay the $100.00 to write it. I worked on Mr. B's good-bye video. I will miss him he was a great teacher for Stacy and April. He says that my recommendation for becoming a principal was some of the nicest things anyone as ever written about him. Annie at 1/29/2002 03:20:00 a.m. Monica partied hardy today at Lazer Quest, shooting it up with the boys. Holly and Monica were the only girls invited to the birthday party, the only girls that know how to really play with 12-year-old boys. I met Cody's dad for the first time at the party, he fumed about the letter that the teacher intercepted between April and Tasha. Tasha and April's account of what the letter meant was identical so I am glad that I didn't doubt April's version of it. He was upset at how often the kids are getting in trouble for stupid little incidences. The more they get into trouble the easier it becomes for the kids to act up next time. When they are constantly accused of wrongdoing they can become desensitized and that is what I think she is doing to April. I just hope that April doesn't take that road. I don't want the teacher to win. Holly stayed with Monica until the early evening. As best friends they really don't get to spend too much time together. Crystal made Spaghetti supper for the kids, no one wanted the meat loaf. I am not that competitive to let it bother me that she made supper after I already made it. I hate making meatloaf, I don't really like it so when James asked for it again I can say that last time I made it no one would eat it. Works for me! Stacy had everyone clean the house in anticipation of Jessie's visit after his hockey game, but they got their wires crossed, he helped his parent with their hockey practice instead. She really wasn't happy with that arrangement, he knew he was to come over here and it was a big deal to her because it hardly ever happens. I am beginning to think that it is just convenient to both of them for people to think they are close, you know, just the image for Jessie because he has such a good looking girlfriend and Stacy so other guys leave her alone. Crystal is planning on quitting her loser job - yeah! I was so worried about her and now it is over. Annie at 1/28/2002 04:24:00 a.m. Brent shook me awake last night to say that he had asked Nadia to leave the basement, and that Derrick had to go home. Nadia told him that I had given my permission for them both to stay down stairs. That part was not true, Nadia had asked earlier in the week if Derrick could stay overnight and I had said that as long as Nadia didn't stay in the basement with him it was all right. I suggested to Brent that Crystal fall asleep on the family room couch. Brent's attempts to kick Nadia out of the basement visably upset her but she finally held her tongue and they all went to their own beds. No bloodshed, I guess they are growing up! Stacy phoned me from Broody's party, her futile attempts at providing me with directions to drive them home drove me up the wall. I could almost feel the vibrations of the pulsating rap music over the phone but didn't manage to understand one word of her directions. Broody has moved again but I was able to look up his phone number on the Internet from the call display. I am loving all the technology we parents have these days! I was elated to find it but I arrived an hour early! Miscommunications, but I didn't want to wreck their fun. So I let them stay. I am always glad that my shy girl is going to parties. I noticed Jake falling out of a car onto his head, intoxicated but very aware of my presence. He tried to non-challantly stagger past my car. His buddies all filed by my car one by one to nervous to even say high, I mean hi. Happy Birthday Jake, I still love ya! I didn't hear about any trouble between Stacy and Jessie, no drinking problems. I was starting to think that when Jessie drank, they had problems but no, not this time. He did say something to her that bothered her, but she didn't want to talk about it right away, and I only want to hear if she wants to tell me. James mom is in Florida, a big step traveling alone for the first time since her hubby's death. She is a strong woman. She will be holidaying for a couple of months, gambling with her buddies and just lazing around. Annie at 1/27/2002 04:54:00 a.m. This might sound bad but my son has always slept around! We have discovered him sound asleep anywhere and everywhere in our house. He refuses to even admit that he needs sleep but finally succumbs to exhaustion, and drops wherever he is, usually somewhere near a computer. When he was little I became aware of him wandering in the night, used to search the house for him or at least try to stay up with him to see that he was safe. I feared that somehow he would electrocute himself. These days I have to keep in mind that I just might find him in the arms of Crystal, something that I would not be happy with considering my younger children are always watching. Tonight I found Brent sound asleep under James desk in his office as if he had just put the side of the computer tower back on and couldn't manage one more move towards bed. Of course I had to check for signs of life. Crystal has stayed over again but in the other room. We told him from now on if he wasn't in his own bed when Crystal stayed here then we would have to ask her to leave. I hope it all works out. Just as Derrick opened the door to leave Nadia wrapped her arms around his neck to hug him and wouldn't let go. Together they inched towards the car, struggled to get the car door unlocked and into the seat while he was still latched to Nadia in the hug lock! Monica went to the movies with Cory, Eric and Missy. It took a lot of phone calls, cancellations to get drives but she finally made the double date happen. She phoned around ten to say that Eric's mother would drive everyone home, but arrive home until 12 am! That is too late for a 12 year old. Apparently Eric's mother was reliving her teenage sporting life with the Monica, wouldn't stop talking and Monica didn't know how to leave within being rude. I picked April Chelsea and Laura up around 11 from the movies. They ate at Boston Pizza. I just hope April didn't pay for the mooches. Nadia went to Yuk Yuk's and then back to our house where she entertained her friends in the basement for the evening. Crystal is absolutely exhausted, fell at work again today and has a blood blister on the inside of her lip from. They encourage them to run from call to call so they can make their quota. James pointed out to her that she is working less than $4.00 an hour when you add in the time that they insist she be there for but refuse to pay her. She is so determined to pay off her debt but that is not the way to do it; you need a social life - especially at her age. Annie at 1/26/2002 04:44:00 a.m. The Principal had no knowledge of what happened yesterday with April so the teacher took it upon herself to make the threat of suspension and in whatever words he used I think he felt the whole thing was trivial. He did say something that bothered me, he said that there was a problem about work and the Internet and that they labelled it the 'Edwards' problem. Just because my kids have a keen interest and knowledge in computers does that warrant that a problem named after us? We really didn't talk about that part because he had announcements, but I would like to talk to him more. Grade six had their VIP (Value Influence and Peers- a drug program) graduation. The skit Monica and her group put on was incredible. The parents at the graduation were whispering to each other in our seats, complaining about the teacher, how she has been bothering everyone. I felt strange talking about someone when we weren't giving our complete attention to the class but it must bother all those parents if they all felt compelled to discuss her. Everyone seems to have a story about her. When Monica came home she said that the teacher stopped her on the street and complained about April wearing perfume that the teacher was allergic to. She was telling on April through Monica. What a winner. I am not one to think that my kids aren't capable of doing wrong and getting themselves into trouble. April is quite capable of that, and I am surprised over the years that her sense of humour hasn't got her into the trouble it could have. She must have great timing, always important trait if you want to be a comedian. It is just the things the teacher has been reporting on; I don't happen to think that they are a big deal. Caesar had to have another bath AGAIN because it is so warm out that the back yard is all mud and boy can he be a mess. He has paw prints all up the side of the wall where we have been trying to carry a dirty mud crusted big dog up for a bath. He legs flail in the air to try to escape what he knows is coming next. This is what we get for having no snow. A sea of muck. Stacy and I had our flu shots. She also got a couple months of birth control pills from the doctor. April has asked that her friend be allowed to stay over for the weekend so that they can do a project. If she is not allowed to stay here she can’t contribute to the project, the girl will be out of town all weekend. She has all the supplies for the project. I don't think so; I am not going to be responsible for a girl I don't even know for a whole weekend so that she can do a project. Have a nice weekend chicko! Annie at 1/25/2002 04:06:00 a.m. Stacy was on the Internet with Jessie for what seemed like quite a while last night, until the keyboard stopped working! I am glad she was because I was getting worried about her not keeping in touch with him, especially when they have limited contact now. They hardly ever see each other and that can't be good for any relationship. It seems to me she just touches base quickly with him on the Internet. She used to really talk to him on here before, at night, after school and every chance she could get, so I hope she resumes the communication. It is so important. She got a new icq and her list looks big. I was worried that he would be the only one on it but she talks to other people obviously. I don't think Nadia is on it much anymore but she sees Derrick all the time and even then they are usually on the phone a couple hours a day. She uses the Internet mainly to keep up to date with her out of town university and college friends. Crystal and I went shopping for her for clothes. She needs dressy clothes but right now it is so cold and she is out all day so she needs to dress in layera. She wears a one piece red long john complete with a bum trap and two pairs of pants. I took 2 pairs of pants back and with that credit and the huge sales going on right now the bill came to about $115. For 4 tops and one pair of pants and a fake fur coat. I let her use a pair of my black pants that are big for me too because if she buys them all big they will be useless later. We did all this in about 40 minutes! I really don't think this job is good for her. It is like a cult, in that they try to isolate her, by making her work horrible hours. I hope she realizes that what they are doing is wrong. They aren't even paying her gas allowance and she is driving a bunch of them everywhere. They don't pay her for the two hours before work and the two hours after that they insist she be there for. If she wasn't staying at our house, she wouldn't even have enough time to see Brent at all. She has also mentioned road trips. It will be interesting to see how quickly that materializes because that would show just how much they want her away from family. Notice how easily I can call her family? It is easy when she has been around for years here as a friend of Nadia's and she is here so much, I have grown very fond of her. I took Stacy out to Casey's for lunch so that she would take a break from her studying. She studies way too much! I got a phone call from Aprils teacher today complaining about April, saying that she was caught for the second time with misappropriate touching of a boy. Apparently April 'poked' a boy in the stomach and another boy felt it was his duty to tell on April. Guess who? Josh B, our neighbourhood antagonizer. She also 'touched' Josh at the Christmas dance in a way that made Josh "not feel good about himself." I really didn't say much of anything to her because Brent and his friends were in the same room. She then told me of a letter that April and Tasha wrote that insinuated that they use drugs and something about sex. When April came home she said that the teacher followed her home to make sure that she was going home, she thought she might run away. In the letter April said she wrote the word 'High' instead of 'Hi' and the reply was "Ya you are aren't you." That was it. Well I am sorry, maybe I was a bad girl too because I can remember writing those same lines thinking how funny they were when I was in school. What is the big deal? It was a play on words. The sex part was that another boy was watching them and they knew that he was going to try to get the letter from them and so she wrote down that she likes that guy. So what? What is the problem with that lady? The teacher put April on the line at the office because April raised her voice after she yelled at April. She really needs to get involved in her own life. I intend to talk to the Principal tomorrow about the Josh part because Josh B. is out to get April and hopefully the Principal will see it for what it is. Josh is an opportunist who knows exactly how to get April in trouble. April said that the kids are mad at Josh B. for getting April in trouble so that will be one more petty reason for him to dislike her. Maybe this type of peer pressure is what can actually help Josh when he realizes that all of his class doesn't approve of what he does? Stacy studied all day and had her last driving school tonight. James and I went to Mark and Carrie's house. When we came back we found out that Caesar had been left our in the rain for about an hour and a half and was whimpering wet mess when he came in. Monica forgot to bring him in. Annie at 1/23/2002 04:54:00 p.m. Crystal worked something like 11 hours, outside again and they won't let her sit down or lean against anything, it is not productive. I know I shouldn't worry but I can't help it, she doesn't seem to have any other mother figure who is attached to her. She must be so tired. Nadia has been working out aerobics and exercising at the college so I am happy about that. April went and Baby-sat with Monica and then spent the money at Mac's Milk. This is not good. I think that she is blowing all the money she is making at baby-sitting which is $50. a week. Stacy studied all night and Brent got his computer back from Adam's but his new game won't work on his so he still uses mine! Darn! We received a phone call requesting Stacy being invited to join a rep softball team as a pitcher! We have to consider our options. It is a thrill for her that they searched her out, she never expressed an interest in playing rep, never tried out for any team in rep! It just might be an easier schedule for all of us. If there are scheduling conflicts China T. is on that team so we could get rides from her. Annie at 1/22/2002 04:11:00 p.m. I am pretty upset right now. I was trying to get rid of MSN from popping up on my computer and I don't know how so I put a search on for MSN. The very first thing that popped up was something from April so I scrolled down with find to where msn was and here it is: My icq is down and My hotmail box is fucked up! But I'l live with MSN!!! Hehehehe My mom yells @ me 4 going on it but I went on write after she was and I looked and saw MSN open in HER name! I was SOOOO pissed! So now I don't care if she catches me! Who gives a damn!?!? I don't anymore! Anyway Crystal came over this morning, she works from 12pm on for about 8 hours! I wish she had a different job because it worries me her going door to door. She is really pretty and I hope she doesn't meet up with any creeps. Crystal told me just how much the guys talk about Stacy and how they bother and tease Brent about her constantly, but she agreed that Stacy has to learn how to reject guys. From what I understand from Crystal it went like this: Brent and I were arguing about Stacy the other day when he had alot of his friends over. She would go downstairs, I told her she could if she wanted to, and he would bring her back up, saying there were guys down stairs that he didn't want her around. Stacy would go downstairs again and then Crystal would bring her back up saying that we had no idea what those guys were going to do, and to keep her upstairs. The problem, from what Crystal tells me that the guys talk about Stacy all the time. That is why Brent thinks she shouldn't be there, but I say she needs to learn to handle situations like this, especially if she is in her own home where she should be safe. And if it is true that those guys do always talk about her then the ones that really don't know her are the ones she has to learn to tell where to go. So even though it might have looked like I was trying to set her up, I was trying to get her to be forceful. Apparently some guy said something downstairs to her that Crystal took offence to but Stacy said she didn't hear him. Nadia and I had time to ourselves so we had really good talks about relationships. She seems to have it all, really intelligent conversations about any and all topics, flirting and teasing down pat (even on the go train). Flirting makes couples laugh together, among other things! Caesar is a bad dog. Finally is does a bad puppy thing and he has to pick the doll that mom gave me and that we fought about before Christmas when James was in the hospital. He ripped the old dolls leg off, there was sawdust everywhere! We didn't catch him so I left it there so when he tries for it again, hopefully I will catch him in the act. BAD DOGGY. James had his softball tryouts/practice and 3 girls tried out tonight, two out of towners, who should make the team. When I got home Stacy was at Mario's hockey game. I wish I could have told her that her boss will be there tonight. She told her boss that she had to study today so she couldn't work right after school and I am pretty sure her son plays hockey on Monday nights. Annie at 1/21/2002 03:25:00 p.m. Brent got sick last night, I am not impressed he should know better and poor Crystal had to clean it up. Last night a guy was trying to get close to Stacy, which she knew would happen and was prepared to deal with it. When I picked them all up (I had a carload) the guy didn't want to go with 'parents', but in another car with Stacy. Stacy said she was going in the Van, so the guy told her that he would go too if she sat with him in the back. Stacy said "No, I am going to sit in the front with my mommy!" He was one of the 3 guys that Brent was keeping Stacy away from yesterday at the party. They come from the city so they really didn't know her. The only one that I have heard of before is Sullivan, I have heard Dan speak of him. Brent was pretty upset, said that he was protecting her and we argued about it. I said that Stacy has to learn to protect herself from guys making moves on her and since she is in her own house she should be safe. We can't protect her all the time, she has to know how to reject advances. I sent her down and Crystal brought her up saying she didn't want Stacy down there because she didn't think it was safe for her too. I am trying to protect her too, but in a different way. She has to learn how to tell guys to get lost whether it is in a nice way or not because one day she will be in a spot that there won't be someone telling guys to leave her alone and I want her to be prepared. It was only because she was in my house that I wanted her to be in that situation. I knew she was safe. In reality there was about five guys downstairs that would have protected Stacy even if Brent weren't there. Nadia Derrick, Brent and Crystal, Stacy and Jessie all went to the Leafs skills competition. James bought them all tickets for Christmas. They said it was a lot of fun. They also said Stacy and Jessie don't really talk but argue and fight a lot. I am pretty sure it is just play arguing and fighting. Annie at 1/20/2002 04:17:00 p.m. Last night after I was asleep I heard a beep in my room that would go about five times and then wait 20 seconds and then beep again. It was driving me nuts so I got up and tried to find it. I thought it might be something on my computer so I turned everything off which I am not suppose to do since it won't turn back on usually- it is touchy that way. I reached a low when I was holding anything and everything up to my ears to try to find it. Finally this little thing called a forget me not turned out to be the culprit. I went downstairs and showed Crystal and she said to was to remind people to take the pill. "What Pill?" I asked "THE PILL" she emphasized. Then she said that it was Nadia's and I started to yell for Nadia thinking that she forgot to take it. They got a laugh out of it. I took the girls to mall and we actually shopped for about 3 hours. I was proud of myself because I usually get to a store and all I want to do is go home and I was in a huge line up and didn't bolt! We bought a lot of stuff at Old Navy and running shoes at Sport Chek for Stacy and I and some at Payless for April. Crystal's new job is a door to door. I think that is an accident waiting to happen. I don't want a young beautiful girl putting herself in a dangerous position of being alone with a stranger. I hope she is careful. I got Stacy home from Melissa's a little after 10pm so that she could contact Jessie about tomorrow (He is at his dad's) and there was a party in progress at our house. It was kind of funny, Brent and some of his friends had some scotch at our house and they all tried snuck a swig of it. It was so bad for some of them that they ran upstairs and started to spit it out in the sink, drink some water and start spitting. Scotch is so gross! Stacy tried twice to go downstairs but Brent didn't want her down because the guys were asking about her. The weird part was that when they went to go to another party, they asked if Stacy wanted to go and Brent had no problem with that. Go figure. Maybe it is because I said that she has to learn to look after herself. They phoned home pretty quick wanting to come back because they were just watching home movies at the other party. They were having a better time here so I brought them all back. Annie at 1/19/2002 04:58:00 p.m. Nadia took my credit card so she could decide whether she wants to be exempt from the computer course. Then Brent said he needed me because it is the last day to apply for College and I had to take James's credit card. My van was ready this afternoon so I took the rental back. When I went to take Stacy to work the emergency break wouldn't come off so we have to take it back for Monday. I was blocking the road and my driveway so I couldn't drive Stacy to work so this guy came along and I asked him to drive Stacy to work. Stacy looked at me like Mom, he is a stranger, so I reminded her that we bought a collector hockey plate off him at the flea market. I felt a little weird about it too so I phone the rec centre to check on her! April and Monica went to the pre teen dance only after they cleaned their room. Annie at 1/18/2002 04:43:00 p.m. Crystal and Nadia hung out tonight just like old times, so I was happy to see that. Stacy went to Jessie's in the evening with donuts and some bubble bath to see if real men take baths. Hmmmmm, I'll have to look into that one! We went to take Monica out for a quick bite and she gave us the 3rd degree, doesn't seem to trust us at all. I wonder if it is because we forgot her in the car once when she was 1. lol ICQ messenger Annie - hi Monica, i guess you left your icq open eh? love ya i hope you were hungry Monica - thanx mom…… sorry 4 asking u what was happening but i'm so used to knowing everything lol Annie - I know sweetie but you do have to trust your parents- we just wanted to surprise you and we wanted it only to be you. Monica - ok Crystal fell asleep on the family room floor and she couldn't be woken up. I guess that means another night of her staying here. At least it is not to be with Brent. Or are they planning a late night rendezvous? Hmmmmm? Annie at 1/17/2002 04:58:00 p.m. I took April in to the eye doctors and it is just what we feared would happen. She is so stubborn and wouldn't listen to any of us about how often she wore her contacts and now she has infections in her eyes and can't wear them for quite a while or maybe even not at all. I bought her glasses and sunglasses. I got a deal when he saw how many of my family wear glasses and that we didn't have any insurance coverage. The rec centre didn't want Stacy in the water with the little kids today because they don't want any kids to get attached to her since co-op is ending. Last session a little girl only wanted her. She enjoyed her co-op immensely and wouldn't mind a career in Personal training or even a gym teacher My van is still in for repairs. This time they took the windshield out and found more leaks. They told me there was nothing wrong with my signal again. I told them that I knew it was happening and I do not feel comfortable with Stacy being a new driver when the signals weren't working properly. I asked the girl to personally take my van out and she would see the problem. This time, after I complained so strenuously, they took it out on the road and immediately found the problem. Some machine was telling them it was OK but sometimes you just need the personal human touch. Brent and Crystal went grocery shopping for me. Yippee! I love when other people shop for me. I get tired of the same old type of groceries that I buy. I want more adventure in my food! Nadia's appointment with the Dean turned out well and she can take a test to get the credit of a computer course but she has to pay for the exam. Annie at 1/16/2002 02:52:00 p.m. We had a little visitor today, a stray Jack Russell Terrier ran into our house and Caesar was so happy to have a girlfriend. He tried to mount her and tried to tuck her underneath him but she was so small, he just ended up shooting her out from between his legs. I went to Jamie's game with Stacy and Jessie had an awesome hit! The guy tried to hit him back and missed him completely. I lost my car keys there and when I found them they had been stripped of all my personal stuff. I was using a rental van, with the license plate number on it so I was worried that it would be stolen so I was glad to get at least those back. Hannah's hair looks really nice with the streaks in it. Mario looked upset after an impromptu coaches meeting but even then is polite when inside he probably wants to tell someone where to go. I don't know what happened and when Hannah was talking his assistant coach, Stacy and I went aside so they could have privacy. Annie at 1/15/2002 03:41:00 p.m. We went to a funeral of an old neighbour from our old house. He was the father of one of James closest friend from his hurtin days, just before I met James. They were friends for years and had a falling out when we had our kids and he didn't. Donny was happy to see us at the viewing. The years have changed his looks- he is so different now, gained some pounds and lost some hair. Cathy, his sister couldn't believe how little I have changed, went on and on, so much so that it was irritating. She started to get sarcastic about me not ever changing age wise. I felt like smacking her......just once? Oh please James? She still lives at the corner house with weird Harry. April had about 10 of her closest friends at home in the basement but they are good so I don't mind. I would rather them here than anywhere. The catcher that Al recruited is really good and I just hope that she joins our team. Monica and her really got on well and caught for Monica better than anyone I have seen. I was really impressed with the practice, the drills showed a lot of imagination. I found a printout of an email that was from Chelsea's email address and she denies that she composed it. Apparently the kids are all blaming each other for it and it is really upsetting April because they say she knew the password. April had just told me yesterday that her friend could get into peoples email so if the passwords are easy it could be anybody. The email is disgusting and puts down 14 different girls. Nadia has taken the first step in trying to be civil. Nadia and Crystal are taking a fitness class together. I hope it works out. I hate to think of the tension that is happening between them and it is not good for Brent and Nadia either. Annie at 1/14/2002 04:36:00 p.m. James invited his brothers family and Gramma over for roast beast dinner, they haven't been over in a couple of years. It looks like I can't get my kids into working with weights. It is overbooked and by trying to get a lot of kids organized, I ended up not even getting mine in. Oh well. Went to Jamie's hockey game, I thought that he scored but other people thought it was someone else but I did unwind there a bit. I am so tense these days, I have to relax. When Jessie first came out to the ice Stacy shouted, "Look there's my bitch!" She can be so funny sometimes, and she can really make me laugh. Talked to the Doobie Brothers mom and we had a lot of fun together. That lady who gossiped about Cutie Pie Jamie was there and she looked horrified to see me- serves her right for talking about someone who is not there to defend himself. I actually think she thinks that Jake is my son and she knows they are friends so I won't tell her any different if I ever have to sit with her again. One of James long time buddies Al phoned James and wants his daughter and the best player on his team to join James's softball team. So they are trying out tomorrow. Annie at 1/13/2002 01:24:00 p.m. Well someone locked the door but luckily I heard Brent at the door at 3:30am so I went down and stayed with him till 5am. Unfortunately I had to get up for Monica at 6am so I am pretty tired today even though I have had some snoozes. Chelsea played really well in soccer. She has learned so quickly in soccer that she is already one of the stronger players and her speed is an asset. It is like she is training for track and field without even realizing it! There was a lady (bitch) there who was putting Cutie Pie Jamie down and she didn't even know what capacity we knew him. I worded something so that she was lead to believe that Jake C is my son and Colleen mentioned that she works with him and he is an excellent worker. She shut up after that. Colleen wasn't impressed with her either. We visited Marita for a couple hours, Dave was not home but James and I kept her company. Mark and Carrie came over to watch the leaf game, ending in a tie. It really feels like bar hockey when they are with us. Lots of cheering and lot of drinking. GO LEAFS GO!!!! April is staying over at Erin's and they scarred themselves silly when they thought that someone was in the house with them so James walked over to check. Nadia is at Derrick's again, Brent is out with Crystal. Stacy and Jessie are out at a movie and I will be picking them up shortly. I still don't know what to think of there relationship right now, it still seems different to me but maybe I am just so stressed out that I want everything to be good for them and when they don't see or talk to each other as much as they used to I start worrying. I hope for the best for them. I just picked them up and they were together as close as 2 people can be hugging, so I was happy to see that. Annie at 1/12/2002 04:48:00 p.m. Monica's birthday and the first thing she wanted me to do was to drive her to school so that she could sit in the front seat. In my family you have to be over 11 to sit in the front for safety sake. I bought Monica 4 pairs of pants- blue jeans, she really needed then, she has been wearing the same ones for a year. She is a women's size 1 now! As Brent came to the van after school, I wanted to hug him so bad but I had to be cool and calm! We just talked about anything rather that what happened. Apparently Bloxy had a New Years party and his house got completely wrecked by his own friends. Stacy came in the Van and started to interrogate Brent. He missed his first class, Adam's alarm system didn't wake them up, but the Vice principal had already phoned. When she was checking to see if he was at school all this week I told her not to tell me because he wasn't at home. It seems the more I am trying to back away from my son, the more interest they have in him. We went out to Don Cherry's for Monica's birthday and Crystal came too. I am so glad. They really look so close now and she said that she wanted him to come home to us. I don't think Crystal liked Brent being at Adam's so much, that she had too much competition with the guy friends. She probably didn't see Brent as much because of that. April got caught doing her project from the Internet. The teacher in front of the class showed April that her French menu had to be off the Internet because it was all in Spanish! The key word was Amigo. We all got a hard laugh out of that but she has to re-do it. April was asked why and she said it was so that she could go to the dance and she needed to hurry. I am sure she did it deliberately because she is still mad about her project that the same teacher said couldn't be hers because it was too good. Kind of like an FU teacher! When April is upset she has a memory like an elephant and she is not very forgiving. We bought a new scanner and I am redoing some of the pictures in my picture diary because they are so blurry. Brent is working at the night club tonight. Nadia went to dinner with Derrick and then back to his house. The latch on the door is broken so we have to leave it outside for all the late people and we forgot to tell Brent that we changed the combination on the front door so I hope no one locks it tonight. Annie at 1/11/2002 04:03:00 p.m. I got a call from Monica at school, she came on and had a little accident but when I got her home I was impressed at how organized she had been- pretty good for only her second time on her period. Nadia said that Darryl's report card is still up in the air. She thought that it was her editing that caused him to get an incomplete but apparently there were 2 other areas of concern so Nadia's editing was not responsible. They feel that he plagiarized; he didn't give the authors credit for their work. If they fix it the most he can get is 50% which is too bad because I know he was working hard on it. Nadia's favourite teacher, is going to put in a good word for him. Not a good time to make mistakes like that. I finished the video for Brent and Crystal and I wanted to give it to her if I bumped into her picking Brent up, but James phoned and said he would pick up Stacy so I couldn’t give it to her. Turns out that Brent or Crystal weren't there at that time. I hope that he hasn't missed too much school. I feel so lost without Brent here. I just contacted Brad's friend Dan to ICQ messenger. I have talked to him on it before when he contacted me so I don't feel like I am over stepping any boundaries when he contacted me initially. Annie - tell me something, am I suppose to give Brent phone messages or do I maintain radio silence? What do you think? Dan - you should give him phone messages, yeah Mrs. Edwards. Call him! Then Adam's mom phoned and we had a long talk, she thinks he wants to come home and I should phone. While I was getting up my courage, Brent phoned from Crystal's and asked if he could come home. Best phone call I have had in years. He is coming home tomorrow!!!!! Annie at 1/10/2002 04:47:00 p.m. Talked to Nadia about Crystal, I told her that I thought she was wrong to say all the things she did and that the way she did it is what Grammie does. She didn't like that at all. The way I see it is that she has had a relationship with Crystal that she has felt protective over Crystal, like a mother. In any mother-daughter relationship there comes a time where it has to change more to a friend and Crystal might be changing into that mode but Nadia still wants to mother and direct her. School phoned about Brent. I told them not to tell me what is happening with him when he is not living here, that I don't want him to think that I am interfering, then I started to cry. I am crying a lot today, especially when I was watching the football video, I forgot there was a picture of Brent in there;( I honestly believe that Brent is being pulled from so many directions that he felt trapped and the only escape was to leave. I know Brent's friends are really feeling that Brent has deserted them and we want him at home more, and when he is with Crystal we want him to come home like teenagers normally do and have normal responsibilities. Crystal basically has no job and is bored so as soon as Brent is available she wants all his attention. She picks him up right from school so he doesn't see most of us (friends and family). I hope he gets his fill of his friends and gets his head together and breathe so he will not feel like everything is closing in on him. Everyone wants a piece of him! There has to be a balance of everything he needs to do! James fixed the computer downstairs- someone had put MSN messenger on it again. For some reason, maybe because we are networked we can't have both MSN and ICQ on. From now on there will be no messenger service on James's computer because it is our main computer. Monica and April are grounded from the Internet because one of them had to have done it. They are the only ones asking for MSN to be on. Caesar is digging up our back yard. It is so mild out there that he comes in covered in muck! It will be interesting to see if any flowers will come up this spring! We had to give him a bath, and this time shower him down too. Brent just gave him a bath a couple of days ago. I found an email that Monica snuck to Cory. She used my email because I told her that I would be checking her email to make sure she didn't try to use it while she was grounded. I told her that I was going to check her email soon so I guess she thought she would send it from mine. My email saves if you have a picture attachment. Pretty smart kiddo but I caught ya!!!!! Attachments : 124-2474_IMG.JPG (66k) ..........Cory..........Hey Cory this is the last thing i am gonna b allowed to send u 4 the rest of the week cause i am grounded from the internet 4 a week so this is the only way i can send u ne thing without being caught. Y don't u feel good in the morning?? so if ur coming back 2morrow that means ur gonna b at school on my b-day or on friday right? i hope so........ok well i g2g b4 i get caught i love you! buh bye TOODLES!! ttyl ttfn c ya l8er luv ya lotz! by the way there is a rumor going around that i don't like u ne more, just so u know it is NOT true ok. i don't know who started it Ashlee heared it from her bro. Annie at 1/09/2002 03:12:00 p.m. Obviously I couldn't sleep last night, James and Nadia slept very little too. I really wish Nadia hadn't of brought James and I into her argument with Crystal. It was none of her business and caused some damage. There have been no harsh words back and forth to Brent and I just don't understand how he can't do what every kid his age is doing- coming home at semi-decent hours. But then, he is not doing what every 17 year old boy is doing, he is doing what every 17 year old boy wants to do. He is doing Crystal...yes that sounds ignorant but most 17 year old boys do not have a blonde bomb shell who doesn't have parents, can come and go as she pleases, who has a car and can provide him with booze because she is two years older than my son? Yes I am ranting!!!! Ok, I will think nice thoughts about her again. OMMMMMMME. James and I went out with Dave and Marita to some Firkin Restaurant- they knew about Brent, he had talked to Josh. Dave thinks we should beat the crap out of him, Marita thinks it is all the fault of his girlfriend but I think she is wrong and I told her so. I think I know Crystal and I truly believe that she likes it with us at our house. If I am wrong, I am wrong about a lot of things, because it feels to me like she belongs here and we will truly miss her. If she is Brent's girlfriend, then she should be here. See I can be nice about this! Brent came home around 10pm to pick up his computer which is in pieces- he says he is going to rebuild it. He says he wants to come home eventually but he wants to do this for now. We asked him how in the world he was going to get up for school because he is so hard to wake up and he said that Adam has tons of electrical gadgets that all turn on at once to wake you up. He said that he didn't go to school today but he will be going into school with Adam, which I don't understand because Adam goes at the regular time so he would have to get up at least 7:30 if they were both to have a shower (Brent takes real long showers) instead of me waking him up at 10am. He says he was mad because I woke him up at 7, so what's the big deal, what's the difference? Annie at 1/08/2002 04:55:00 p.m. I tried to wake up Brent this morning a little after 7am because of the computer crashing downstairs and he woke up swearing at everyone, attempted to fix it for a bit and then went back to bed. He gave me a real hard time when I had to wake him up for school and was late. I told him that I really needed him to help with the computers or put on another printer and if he was going to be home after school and he said he didn't know. I have been sick about it all day. James came home for lunch with me and we both found it so hard to talk about, that I started to cry at the restaurant. I don't understand why Brent can't see that he is not giving our family life a chance at all and that he can't come and go and stay up till 4 or 5 in the morning and keep up a normal life. I have been waking Brent up at 3, 4 and 5 pm these last couple of weeks and he gets up, has an hour shower, Crystal comes over and off he goes. If he is at home with her it must bother her that we ask him to do things with the computer but she doesn't realize that, that is all he does in this house and it has been that way for a long time. I phoned him just before 11pm at Crystal's because we hadn't heard from Brent at all and asked him to come home and that we wanted school curfew for him to be 11pm and he hung up on me. He came home hooked up a computer on April and Monica's computer and packed a bag and said that if he stays that he will say some things that we won't like or something like that and went to Adam's house. We told Brent that he had to live by our rules if he lived at our house and he left without saying goodbye to anyone. How could this happen over something as silly as waking him up? I have to wake him up, he needs to go to school! Nadia had April dress up in dresses to see what she might like for graduation. April had a great time and looked very good and so grown up! Annie at 1/07/2002 04:25:00 p.m. April is keeping a diary and was at the computer for quite a while when the computer froze and she lost it all. I hope she doesn't get discouraged and give up. I think she writes quite well considering all the static we had from teachers who said that she cold only compose on the computer. I said "So what?" As long as she is able to write, what does it matter how she does it? But they wanted key notes, point forms, rough drafts etc... so she would have to go backwards on the computer and create a paper trail for her teachers. What did it teach her? I don't know, like I said, as long as she was creating with words, I was happy! Monica had her French project on dad's computer and after Stacy printed out her work the computer crashed and is in really bad shape right now. April, Monica and some friends started working with weights for teens tonight Cutie Pie Jamie is their instructor. Derrick came by for a while to snort and fart on Nadia's neck in her bedroom. You could see Nadia screaming and laughing all through the house. When he went to work, they cancelled him without even telling him. Crystal and Brent made what looked like an excellent meal and ate it downstairs by candlelight. This fight that Nadia and Crystal are having is awful. It is putting a wedge between a lot of different people. Stacy forgot to get her new birth control pills and I kind of spazzed on her because she has been on it for a couple of years now and she should be completely responsible for herself in that regard. If her and Jessie are planning anything in the near future (looking from the outside, they look rocky right now) I want her to be so prepared so that nothing bad will happen. We usually get free samples so when I had to pay $20. for them I think that she thinks I was so concerned about her because it cost me money. No. Mark wrote up a prescription for her but it almost didn't work out for her because he just got back in the evening from his ski trip. She was so lucky because she had to start on them tonight. Annie at 1/06/2002 04:15:00 p.m. Brent woke me up at around 2am to say that he was home! He didn't stay at Crystal's so I thanked him. Went to Toni's A&W stayed 2 hours for fast food! Gramma came with us and Dan and Ryan both dropped by. Toni gave us some Chunky Chicken for the road! Brent got up about 4:30pm and left quickly with Crystal, she didn't want to be near Nadia. I hope things get straightened out with Crystal and Nadia. There friendship is so strained since Brent has been with Crystal. Stacy keeps asking me what is wrong. I don't seem happy so I told her that I am upset about the fight Nadia and Crystal had. Stacy can make me smile though, when she "Shakes her Booty". Jessie came over for the evening. I made a new video for Adam. I love getting enough pictures of one person to make them music video's! Annie at 1/05/2002 02:54:00 p.m. Nadia and Crystal had a huge fight about Crystal leaving the party to be with April last night. She fought with Crystal in front of all their friends. I think if Nadia had to say what was on her mind she should have taken Crystal aside and done it privately. Brent was upset and had a talk with me about it. Nadia shouldn't have said a lot of the things she said. That gave me an open door to talk about Crystal. So we talked about Brent staying over at Crystal's when he shouldn't. Because Crystal has separate quarters where she lives I know that Brent and her sleep together at her house. Brent told me that he was staying at her house tonight because it is his 6 months anniversary with her. I told him that I was uncomfortable with him sleeping overnight because of his age and because of the length of time they have gone out. Nadia and the girls stayed up until 7 this morning. Nadia feels that Crystal should have planned their 6 months on a different date because they have broken up and got back together a couple of times, that the date was not that important, that it didn't have to be today. April had Erin and Alana over. Nadia made a deal with April for the basement so Derrick and her could watch a movie so April had to stay with her friends in the family room. The idiot guy that is bothering Stacy and Jessie is at it again son ICQ messenger so I asked her if I could write to him- after all who is he going to tell that "Stacy's mommy helped her out"- nobody. I asked him if he was jealous or if he dislikes Jessie, or if he was jealous of their relationship. I said that I approve of their relationship 100%, that they are happy and that they are very good for each other. I said that he can't judge the relationship, I can, because I see them more than he does- unless he is a friend of Jamie's and if he is, he is a back stabber. I told him to quit living in a dream world and to try to find a real girlfriend because he is only interested in her looks and what he feels is not real. I wanted to say "Keep the fuck away from my daughter you slime ball" but what good would it do? It would have only made me feel good. I did say that he didn't stand a chance though. Annie at 1/04/2002 04:22:00 p.m. We searched for April but it turned out that April fell asleep early in the evening. When she woke up she had no will to sleep anymore so we stayed up late and watched some bad TV together. She is good company, very funny, but can get pretty serious too. I love being with her when she wants to be near family. She is still going through the eww family stage but it hasn't been all that bad. Stacy had a long talk with me today about track. I think she is quitting and although it is a tough choice for her and she is giving up her dream, she has a lot of other things to consider and to take it's place. She has a job at the rec centre that could really open doors for her. They have been training her for different positions. Our piano teacher told me about a recreational volleyball club that she recommended for Stacy so I told her about that and she seemed interested. Nadia finished most of her video tapesfor her friends. She has had my computer for a couple of days so I have been waiting patiently! As usual Nadia did a professional job. Her friends slept over and tried to play a drinking game but Dianne drank too fast so the game was over quick. She needed lots of Tums and Rolaids and some time out. Crystal kept coming up and staying with us but James sent her down because she is supposed to be a guest at Nadia's party. She her relationship with my daughter has been strained lately because she is dating Nadia's brother we felt we could interfere and tell her to get back downstairs. It is a tough call because she is like family so she feels comfortable being with all of us. Nadia was irritated, saying that Crystal came upstairs because she was 'bummed out' that they stopped drinking. Stacy worked in Aqua fit- she really doesn't feel comfortable with instructing it yet. After the classes she went to Melissa's for a sleep over. Brent went to Adam's and April was in (our living room) and out. She was seen hanging out at Mac's Milk when she was suppose to be at Chelsea's house for a movie so I didn't like that. Cody keeps phoning Monica and calling on her. He spent and hour in our hall just talking to her. It could be a bad situation because he is Cory's best friend and he obviously likes Monica very much Email to Stacy Stacy I have not written to you for quite a while, I didn't see the need, everything looked like things were going smooth. Lately I have been getting an uneasy feeling about your relationship. Let me tell you what I am observing. For quite a while you have been spending less and less time on the internet, and I think Jessie misses it. I say this because I am on mine, not you and he asks where you are. When he was grounded, you weren't there for him, sometimes you wouldn't touch the computer for days at a time when my computer was available and everyone else was fighting to use the one in the basement. I guess you were mad at him for semi formal and who can blame you? When James and I were dating James had to get up very early so I would get up and meet him at the corner near the apartment I lived in. That was the main part of our relationship and we looked forward to it. When I moved back home, it changed because I thought it was too far to go to meet him. He really missed it, but never said anything about it. One morning I decided to try to meet him at the street of the main intersection nearest my house. It was a gamble because at that time in the morning I risked him not seeing me but I tried anyway. He did see me, and he had toast from home that he shared with me (even though it was cold) and from that point on we met at 6 o'clock in the morning until we got married. It was something special we had in our relationship and he needed it. Even though I didn't need to be at work for another 3 hours I would go in early and eventually the company would give me days off because I had saved so much time going in early. (I used all the hours up when my dad died so I was glad I had saved them up). What I am trying to say to you is that Jessie got used to being on the internet with you, and it is an important part of your relationship. Even if it is inconvenient you should try and keep it up. Before when you got home from school you would try to talk to him. I am not saying that you have to do it all the time but you should make an effort to leave messages to him, even if you know he is at work, even if you think his mother will see it, they know how you feel about him so that part doesn't matter. Remember the trouble he had with Mel? He was lonely after you left him for bed and it caused you both grief. Loneliness can do weird things to people so I am trying to make sure you do your part in this relationship. Try to get your work done or nap, you will have more time to do those things and you shouldn't be that tired if you are not training for track anymore. Re-arrange your time so that you can spend that quality time or so with him. If you can't make up for it by giving him messages when he is not there. You always have to work at relationships, I do even now- it is important and you will not have any regrets if you have done everything you can to help your relationship. Bye Sweety! This is what I wrote to her, but not exactly the way I feel about him, he is trying to look tough and big in front of his friends, I think. I am being kind to Jamie, because he is young and all his mistakes are being made on my daughter but I am not happy with him, more importantly Stacy is very disillusioned and I can see her pulling away. Annie at 1/03/2002 04:33:00 p.m. April is still sending chain letter emails, spilling her guts out or saying some inappropriate things incorporating them right into the subjects or in the part where anyone can see what she has said. She is even pretending to be other people. What am I going to do with her? This is only a little of what I see. What else is she writing? From : "~Mrs.Bradt~ lol.j/k" Subject : heaven's phonebook (Luv ya mommy) Date : Wed, 02 Jan 2002 13:58:54 -0500 I my mommy! The question is...do yours? Luv~!~*~!~*~!~*~ April Edwards Hey all! If I missed anyone else sorry! Well Luv Ya All BYE!!! Toodles- April April came home on her own steam, said she couldn't get through to us so she pretended to talk to me on the phone so she could leave Chelsea. (Her brother had a 2 hour shower and she had to pee.) Stacy spent the day with Jamie. She wanted me to drive her there when he had a car- no I don't think so. Stacy told me that Jessie doesn't remember dancing with Nicole and had to ask Nicole if he did. I didn't tell her (I didn't have the heart to, but that is even worse because it will probably happen again that he won't remember and it might not just be dancing). I really thought those two would make it but now? I think it must be true that guys don't think the same as girls. I don't want her to be hurt. This drinking thing can really mess them up. He has to have his wits about him even when he is drinking and lately I just don't know. He was really slurring his words the other night. I just hope that I can get rid of this feeling that I have about them right now. I want it to be good again. I went with Crystal and Brent to buy him some pants tonight. It felt very comfortable being with the two of them. Holly spent most of the day here with Monica and I really don't know where April is right now. Annie at 1/02/2002 03:03:00 p.m. The party Stacy went to was huge. Amy phoned for Stacy, asking for a ride earlier than expected- the party had turned weird. Someone tried to push Jessie down a flight of stairs. Leigh got drunk for the first time (she was letting guys blow on her tummy until Stacy stopped it). Jake was funny- he told her Cutie Pie Jamie made a lot more $ than her at the same job so she had to find out. Jessie and Stacy's only problem seems to be when he is drinking and that could grow huge. He tries to hide what he is doing with the guys, dances with different girls (1 too many times- Nicole S., Jessie C. ex. I told her that I had heard that she liked him a long time ago- I don't want her to be naive, that those things can happen.) I told her to have as much fun as she can next time they drink at a party and not to bother trying to talk to him if he is not around for her. That way she can have fun too, instead of worrying about him or else drink alone and see if he is that distracted when it is just the 2 of them. I hope they can work it out but it is not an uncommon problem. Jessie was bothered that Woody was talking to her, he didn't notice but someone was watching Stacy and told Jessie to watch his back. Too bad someone else has to watch his girlfriend when he is busy watching someone else. I don't think Jessie handles his booze too well! Stacy went out with Jessie and his family to Mario's parents in Toronto- I think. She gave Jessie his birthday presents but they hadn't opened them when they left. He is 17 now! I hope he likes the video- I took so many pictures for it and sometimes I felt like I was hounding them but Stacy wanted them- she just got shy when the camera came around. Monica had her friends over all day and the boys came back in the afternoon. We didn't have pancakes for the girls in the morning so Brandy went home and got them and they made there own! April had friends over in the afternoon and evening, and you could hear them laughing so hard in the living room, they were crying. Nadia had Dianne and her cousins over for a while, the one guy just loved our basement, said if he were to rob a place this is the first place he would come. O.K. Brent never did find the party and he hasn't showed up at home yet from Krista's. Stacy had a great time at Mario's parents, sounds like they had an evening true Italian style- many different courses. I am so happy they are giving her a strong sense of family, often teen couples get alienated from there families but she feels close to them. Derrick came over after work around 10, he cut his finger at work the other day and it looks so nasty. Nadia and Derrick ran around the basement for quite a while yelling and laughing, they know how to have fun, which I love. April is sleeping over a Chelsea's with a couple of girls. Yeah, I know we tried to keep her away, but we are making the attempt to trust April's own judgement now. She knows what we think of Chelsea, not just my opinion, but her brother and sisters too, so we are praying for the best. Annie at 1/01/2002 04:01:00 p.m.
