Nov 29/01 Crystal stayed overnight and when I went to get Brent up she was in his bed. James told me that she slept downstairs so she must have come up in the morning. James is off for the annual Limo Night- hope he is all right. He certainly is not himself lately. There is a distance between us but I do believe that it has been brought on by his dad's death and now this illness that he can't shake. He doesn't want hugs, his back is turned from me along with the rest of the world so it seems. He is either in bed or at his computer. I hope being out with the guys makes his life seem more normal. I don't really know if this being sick all the time is depression over his dad or he really is sick April had Andrew and Chelsea over. I have to talk to her about that. Chelsea is not welcome here. We have shown the girl kindness, only to have her degrade April, any way she can. I don't want to watch my daughter in this situation anymore. I want to protect her from Chelsea. Geoff was at track today and he seemed to be glued to Stacy. After a while Stacy would look at me while she ran the track and would roll her eyes. She said that he talked her ears off while she only got to say a couple of sentences back to him. She tried to run fast because he has a sore knee and she was hoping that he couldn't keep up to her. When we left a runner about 13 years old, came up to Stacy and put his arm around her. He said that she was always his favourite senior and he kept leaning on her while we walked out to the parking lot. It was so cute. Monica was on the phone to Cory for about and hour and a half. He kept calling her again and again. Cory is one of the boys that she has been hanging around with at school since last spring when the girls were all being hard of her. She won all of the track and field events so they all snubbed her. She had so much fun with the boys that she never stopped hanging around with them. Cory is a freckled faced, strawberry blonde, rabbit toothed, shy boy, who is cute in his own way. He is the younger brother of Jason a boy April's age that I think so much of. Stacy went out with Jessie in his car. I am still nervous about what 'out' means. I want to know where she is going in the car. I would rather her have a destination instead of just cruising, for safety sake, driving and relationship wise! Annie at 11/30/2001 04:13:00 a.m. Went to the shopping mall with Stacy. Monica had some guys and girls over. They are so young looking and they are all showing off for each other so I have to worry about the condition that the basement will be left in. Crystal was at our house after school and just before supper left quickly. She was upset. I hope it wasn't because Brent was working on the computers because we really need him and it has been along time. Stacy started her in school driving lesson with Amy and Kaitlin. Mark and Carrie's for a hot tub. When we came home all the kids except Nadia were playing monopoly with Crystal. Annie at 11/28/2001 04:47:00 p.m. Brent told me that the guidance councellor is also harassing Jessie C. He was at morning detention too and she was going to give him a detention with the principal and Jessie said, "You do that and I will tell them that you are calling me names and I have witnesses." I guess that is better than kissing ass like I told Brent to. What do I know anyway? Derrick came over to introduce his dog Max to Caesar. Nadia then went to his place for dinner. I went to the high school hockey game and I am really having trouble taking pictures with the digital camera. After I went to the elementary school boys volleyball games and even with volleyball, I couldn't get a clear picture. What am I doing wrong? Monica is very confused about boys right now. Seems she is popular and some of the boys are telling her they like her. She doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I think that sometimes she wishes that they would only think of her as a friend but I guess the old Road Hockey days are over. Monica stared at the computer screen long enough for me to realize that she wanted to talk to me about something but didn't know how to begin. When I asked what was wrong she moved away from the screen so I could see what was bothering her. Lil Mike sent her this email. Email from lil Mike sup. I was just wonderin if u like me or not cause i think u do P.S.(i like u) Annie at 11/27/2001 03:23:00 p.m. Brent had an early morning detention with the guidance councellor. She didn't like Brent's attitude. She is on his case quite a bit and phones him in his classroom to yell at him. This last time he said "Whatever" which he shouldn't have done. I have tried to tell him that it is time to kiss ass with her and just get through the next couple of months. Took Caesar to the vets. He now weighs 20 pounds, twice what he weighed on his last visit Nov 1! They all think that he is so calm. He does well if you take him through the laundry room door, he goes to the bathroom where we want him to. Apparently Brent told Crystal that he doesn't like the arrangement of being able to go out with other people, it is all or nothing, so they are exclusive. I don't think that either of them did go out with anyone else. They went to Swiss Chalet and mini putting but Nadia called him home to fix dad's computer for Stacy and as usual, when Brent touched it, it worked. Figures. Annie at 11/26/2001 03:47:00 p.m. Visited Gramma, she is so lonely. It would have been grandpa's birthday yesterday. We took her out to Swiss Chalet with Stacy, April and Monica. Stacy was at Melissa's. April spent the evening at the Kegs. Monica had Holly, lil Mike and Cody over. They got carried away and knocked Tie Domi's hockey stick off the wall. Annie at 11/25/2001 03:54:00 p.m. Brent finally got good tips at work, he was home by 4am. Craft sale, and April and Monica were there for most of the day. I bought a cheetah picture for the kids bathroom but I should have done it with James because it is the first time we haven't bought our together Christmas present together. At one point Mitch was standing in line for the balloon clown right behind Monica and he was so cute and looked happy to be with Monica . I asked Cory if I could take his picture with his balloon hat on and Mitch grabbed it from him and made sure he was in-between Monica and Cory. Monica later said that the guys that she has always liked have been Mitch, Cory and Cody and lil'Mike. She is finally acknowledging that she likes the boys now! One parent came up and asked how my basketball star was. I didn’t know what she was talking about and she said that her son says that Monica is a BB star! Caesar is biting real hard. We yell loudly when he does this, but we don't move our hand away and when he stops the biting he licks our hand. At that time we start to praise him. If that doesn't work we separate him from the family. When he bites, man oh man it hurts. He has cut Stacy on her hand. Nadia bought booze for Adam and Brandon tonight. I told her to make sure that they aren't anywhere near the cars and to find out where they are going. They bought her a bottle of some blue stuff. Adam is saying his parent thinks he should go to psychiatrist because he has a temper where he wants to hurt people. I thought that he had grown out of it because I have told him before to watch what he was saying (during the Columbine disaster) and I have never really heard him since. Crystal, Brent, Nadia and I spent the evening together over some drinks. I really enjoyed it. I was surprised that they brought up James and I and our sex life. Got to get a new bed, Squeak. The kids are teasing me! Apparently James and I aren't supposed to have sex, people our age with teenagers are not to do that. I asked what they expected us to do if we went to bed the same time or earlier than them. We used to try to wait till everyone was asleep but now they don't sleep. We spent our time together when the kids were at school, but now we don't know when the kids are coming home so what are we to do? If they really thought about it they would be happy we get along so well because we really do have a great marriage. I have told them if you are going to have sex, learn all about it and do it well, and if you don't enjoy it you shouldn't be doing it. So I will take my own advise and not worry what they think. Stacy is at Leigh'sdad tonight. James went to The Toronto- Boston NHL game with Dave. I picked them up at the Go and they were feeling no pain. Imagine 3 NHL games in one week! Brittany stayed overnight with April. They made a cake but put the icing on when it was still warm. It looked pretty gross. Annie at 11/24/2001 04:57:00 p.m. James came home with the boss's son from Ottawa and had a couple of beers- he seems nice. After James had to go to a stag and came home with hockey art- Wendel Clark for $250. April and I were at dinner at East Side Mario's by ourselves and I really enjoyed her company. She was telling me about who is going out with who, and who is dumping who- apparently it happens a lot and she is liking Mike again. I told her this time not to come on too strong and he won't get scared off. Last time he liked her for quite a while and when she finally decided to like him back she told every one and was in his face so much that he was out of there. I finally got Brent to the barber, Mario cut it, Brent really likes him. Brent was saying what a nice guy he was and Stacy was trying to explain Jessie's family to Brent and I decided that it might be a good time to tell them that I had been married before. I told them that it was really nobody's business and that the only reason that people know about Mario and Hannah is because there were children involved. Brent's eyes nearly popped out of his head, he was so shocked. He bolted from the car ran into our house and told Nadia and Dad before I had a chance to tell Nadia first. I have been trying for months to get the three oldest kids alone so that I could tell them together but the conversation was ripe in the car. I never felt a need to tell them before, there were no children involved. I wanted them to be old enough understand other relatinship such as thier freinds parents relationship's before they judged mine. Report cards- as usual no one showed me or told me about the interim report cards- the only way I knew about it is because the school left a phone message a couple of days ago. You would think that Stacy, having a 91% would have told me but no. It’s a conspiracy I tell ya. Today I let Stacy and Jessie have some drinks in the basement, it has been 6 months for them, and I know that kids at this age drink so I want Stacy to learn in the safety of her own home with someone she trusts. I bought a large assortment but I forgot about beer. Stacy only had two, James only one so it worked out just fine. IThe drinks did effect her though. When she went to go to bed Stacy was talking so loud that Nadia was complaining. I would shush her and whisper back to her but she would get even louder. She is good-natured when she drinks so I am relieved about that. Stacy needed a message because she worked out in co-op for an hour and had two kids classes where she fully participated in. Monica worked out in both classes too. Annie at 11/23/2001 04:56:00 p.m. Stacy and Jessie have been going out for 6 months now! I asked her if she thought of this as long term and if she was serious and she said that she was. They are pretty rough with each other, last night Stacy hit him, or squared him and he left a hand print on her hip that you can still see. She has a pinching bruise that was instant on the car ride home from school. Hope they are enjoying themselves. James is going to another Ottawa Senators game. Nadia finished a major assignment- it took her days so maybe we will get to use the computer. I wish Brent would get the Internet back- he was suppose to come home after school and get his hair cut at Mario's but when I went to bed he still wasn't home. Monica and Stacy ran at the track while I walked it. I asked Ellie's father how she was doing- and it is a sad story. She has been in the Hospital for Sick Kids for about 5 months and she hasn't spoken to her parents since May. She won't accept visitors from anyone. They have nothing to barter with her she has complete control. They are going to start to tube feed her today. They are not letting her out of the hospital because they know that she will not eat again. I feel so much for the parents. She is playing a dangerous game and they don't have any leverage with her. Usually in this situation they will she things like, "I will let you see your parents or girlfriends if you start eating this" but she won't comply with anything. This girl could die. Annie at 11/22/2001 04:11:00 p.m. James still working in Ottawa. I am still missing him. Funny even at the age my kids are now, one of them will try and find a way into my bed when James is away. But it is my only chance to read books so I like my privacy. I usually give in and let one sleep in one night only! All my kids were home with there g/f, b/f tonight at least for a while. Went to the Sports Complex to watch the boys and the girls play for there school. Our school had hockey no uniforms and the girls didn't even have a time keeper, and those pictures are really going to be hard to take. Hockey is so much faster than any other sport, so far most of my pictures have been blurry. I sat with some hockey moms some who knew my younger girls, they are in my kids classes. We talked about when my 2 youngest liked her 2 youngest and she said that Mitch has always liked Monica. Annie at 11/21/2001 03:06:00 p.m. I went to visit Fran today and we had a big talk about the grade 8 situation and Chelsea. She doesn't want her daughter hanging out with her either. I dropped Brent off at Crystal's place after school, he is like a zombie when it comes to doing what Crystal wants. It is simething he is going to have to figure out himself but I hoep he still hangs out with his friends too. Nadia and Derrick are really working hard on there project. Stacy is going out to Jessie's game with the girls tonight. I really miss our computers being networked. Nadia has had the only working one tied up for days. Stacy said that Jessie C.and his girlfriend Nicole broke up- I was hoping that they would make it, just because Stacy said she is nice and I wanted the best for him. Oh well. And the rumors about Jake were true, even though I had already seen him smoke, I had told Stacy not to believe it until he told her or she saw first hand. I hope he didn't go back to the drugs though. There were some coaches at the sports complex, they were talking about different players and when they mentioned Jake they were saying, “what a guy, a good athlete and he is smoking.” Chelsea phoned and started to talk about how good oral sex is without waiting to see who was on the phone- duhhhh. Sarah I. is at it again, telling people to tell Jessie that he is big and she wants sex from him. It sounds funny, I know, and Jessie must be pretty proud right now but Stacy is really upset. I don't know if Stacy realizes it but this all started happening in grade nine, when people said that another guy liked Stacy (They never talked or anything) Sarah told people that she hated Stacy because she liked the guy too, so with that type of mentality, Stacy should never have tried to befriended her. Then she would only go out with Stacy if Stacy was going to see Jessie. Worst of all she spiked Stacy's and Amy's drink big time last year. I was pissed because she didn't drink any of the booze she poured. I have told Stacy time and time again not to trust her. Some girls just don't like you when you are good looking, end of story, nothing you can do about it. Annie at 11/20/2001 04:17:00 p.m. We decided it was time to give Caesar a bath. He was good about it but afterwards he seemed upset. He just sat thee quietly and let us soak him! Registered for house league volleyball. My girls picked two friends that they thought they would like to know better and asked thier mothers if the kids cold play house league with them. They were both so happy we told them about it. Annie at 11/19/2001 03:10:00 p.m. April baby-sat with Chelsea today and I really have to put a stop to it. I thought that it might play itself out the way I hoped but now it is hurting April's self esteem. This time Chelsea didn't want to pay April because she does all the work. In April's mind, Chelsea won't let her near the baby and is bossing her around all the time. When Chelsea stayed over our house the other night I had a first hand experience of her blaming or letting someone else take the blame. I saw her on the couch swinging a wad of gum while she was lying on the chesterfield. First of all I don't like people lying down when they have something in their mouths, but she was also on our leather couch. Last week someone got a wad of gum on one of our leather pillows and we still can't get it off. I explained it to her but caught her doing the same thing a while later so I told her again to watch out for the gum. I kept saying "Gum stays in the mouth" Later I saw gum in a bowl on the sideboard. I got impatient with her and I said "who evers gum this is, please don't put it in a bowl, if you are finished with it, put it in the garbage. Now please." No body moved and even though April was chewing gum and Monica wasn't, I chastised April and made her put the gum from the bowl, in the garbage, the whole time telling her off. Chelsea let her take the rap for it but she didn't realize that I already knew it was her's and was winking at April while she thought that April was getting in trouble for it. I had already told April that I have watched Chelsea let April get in trouble for things that she was responsible for or was equally involved. April told me later that Chelsea was throwing her gum around after I told her not to and even through it in April's face. I wish April would stand up to her. April stands up for herself with anyone else, but it has always been this way with this girl. That was one of the reason's that I wouldn't let April hang around with her even in the early grades that and the fact that Chelsea was allowed to be anywhere in town unsupervised. I went to Kate's and had a talk to her about Chelsea and April. I told her that I had to go with my gut feeling and that was that I had to separate the 2. She said that she was trying to find a way to fire Chelsea and still have April so she was feeling it to. She said that Chelsea was too bossy and that she was talking back to her. James is still painting the kitchen table but his back is just killing him. Stacy and I went to Jessie's game, he scored but it was a rough game for him and he kept getting slammed into the boards, and he has a concussion. At one point after getting hit into the boards (It looked to me that the guy skates left the ice when he got Jessie) he made it ok to the middle of the rink, staggered and went down on his knees. It was scary to watch, but like my kids and any other teen that loves sport he wouldn't stay on the bench and got hit again and then into a fight. I hope he is OK. Annie at 11/18/2001 04:06:00 p.m. Monica had an early soccer game for once-8am, and so we had breakfast at Timmy's. The president of the houseleague softball was there and I told him we didn't need the catcher's equipment now because Monica couldn't play house league anymore - no one can catch for her. Before he left he came over to where we were sitting and said "Just so you know, I put in a good word for you for coach. As long as you are in charge." He was all smiles too. News spreads fast Monica's soccer team finally won. We went to Home Deposit with Marita for paint and bumped into another neighbour who happens to be a painter. He helped us with painting our table and offered us oil primer. We saw his new puppy Zack and he showed us some of the walls he has treated at his house. His house is just like Dave and Marita so it was very interesting. Monica went to the opening of the movie Harry Potter and stayed with Kate the whole day. April had Chelsea overnight- their baby-sitting job was cancelled again. Chelsea is trying my patience and I have a lot of it. She sat there and enjoyed watching April get in trouble for something Chelsea did. What she didn't know is that I had already told April that I knew that Chelsea sets her up like this, so as it was happening I was winking at April. April saw first hand that she enjoyed it. Monica fell asleep at 6pm. Stacy was at Jessie's- he isn't feeling well, and after I took her to Melissa’s. I fell asleep before I picked her up so I was pretty cold getting her and Leigh. Brent installed and CD player in Crystal's car and went out, probably cruising, till late. Nadia did homework but Derrick came over until he had to work. He didn't have a belt and Brent's didn't fit him, so they took one of James's and tried to put a new hole in the belt while he still had the belt in his pant loops! I came in and said it was a bad idea and Nadia agreed that he might want children in the future. Annie at 11/17/2001 04:23:00 p.m. We got in touch with the softball president and had a meeting at our house with Joe and Shelley too. She kept saying that they have been trying to get Monica for years and is pretty happy about having her. I'm glad that Sheena is coming too. So, James and Joe are now rep coaches. They are going to help cover the cost of the pitching clinic for Monica and Sheena! Nadia had too much homework to go out to College's Pub with Crystal so she went alone? Brent worked at Liquid tonight and April and Monica went to the preteen Dance. Stacy met Jessie at Timmy's to go to a party after work, but they weren't allowed in so they just hung around till 11. She was cold and Jessie thinks he has a concussion from Hockey- a school game. Annie at 11/16/2001 04:33:00 p.m. It was a nice day for November so I went for a long walk and James went golfing! Unfortunately I came on my period only a week after having one and sure enough one of my girls started today. I wish every one was in sync because they all affect my periods. Brent told me that after his shift at Liquid last weekend, they told him he couldn't leave unless he had some shooters so he left smashed. Not to cool of them considering he is underage- I guess that it was his initiation. Took Monica to a Track practice and Stacy to a her track club and Andrew took Stacy aside to give her some tips on running on grass and on snow to help on the wear and tear of her knee until it gets stronger. He really is encouraging her with her running and he said it would be a shame if she stopped because she is such a talented runner. Andrew has coached her for tennis and when she was in Florida but I wish he was her main coach in track because I think he brings out the best in her. I got mad at Brent because he is trying to bully James into putting Windows xp on James computer. He has our network down and apparently he must format to fix it. Jessie dropped off Stacy's backpack and told her to check her pocket when he left. There was a teddy bear in it! She is so happy with him, it is nice to see! Annie at 11/15/2001 04:58:00 p.m. I got a call from the guidance councellor saying that Brent didn't go to homeroom or history and wanted me to wake him up at 8am. I said no, that he was sleeping and he has been sick. I asked him if he was there and he said that he was and told me what happened in the classes. I told her and she said no that what he was talking about was in the cafe and he said yes that is where our home room is. He had to get a note from the history teacher saying that he was there yesterday and when he brought the note to her she said that it wasn't the teacher's writing. Can't win eh? Stacy went to Jessie's after school for the evening, I took the girls to Basketball and James and Brent went to Joes to fix his computer. They are going to explore whether they should coach rep. Looks like April likes Scott - here we go again! Email from James to softball president I understand that there is a squirt team looking for coaching. Joe and I have been coaching select team for 2 years and have recently been approached by another rep organization to coach for them. Being that we are from your and we have met you at pitching clinics, we would like to look into opportunities here first. Could you please give us any information about your squirt team? I can't help thinking about what I said yesterday and it makes me feel awful. If April tells anyone it might come back to Jessie. On one hand, if Stacy is as close as she tells me she is, then she has already told him even though I told her never to tell a guy. If he isn't pressuring her, even when he knows she's on the birth control, then he is worth keeping. If they are sexually active, then she is protected and because she has taken it for so long there is little worry that she will mess it up and that is a good thing. If there not, and Jessie finds out about it this way without Stacy ever telling him, I might have put unnecessary pressure on them, I really hope not. And if they haven't yet there could be a couple of reasons and I am just speculating. 1. Stacy is really looking for love and so is he and he is waiting because he really wants to show that he really loves her. That would mean that he is one in a million. 2. They hardly see each other now like they used to because of them both working so the timing is against them. In other words, if they saw each other like they used to in the summer, they would be intimate a lot sooner. It is hard to fit in that private of time when your time together is limited. 3.She really has good moral values and is just plain taking it slow and enjoying each thing that they do. (That way they both will become better lovers in the long run.) 4. She just isn't ready no matter how much she thinks she loves him. What ever they do I think now that they are ready, maturity wise to make there own decisions and the worry I had before has gone. I do trust him so I hope I am a good judge of character. He seems to have a great family life, they are always with him and at that age, that is really something- I admire them. I printed out 24 pictures for the yearbook today and I have to buy more photo quality paper. She gave me $20.00 to help cover the costs. Monica , Stacy, Nadia, James and I went to Don Cherry's for supper. April didn't come home at 5 like she was told so she didn't come with us. April is getting frustrated because people are accusing her of flirting. April was born with the capabilities of flirting- it is just in her personality. She has a lot of funny, cute things to say and mannerisms that can come across as flirting and then she has the outrageous no holds barred I am saying this because it is funny and the consequences might be that you think I am coming on to you but the opportunity is just perfect, the timing right and I am going to say this no matter what- attitude. For example she told me that Jake is going for all the new kids and in the next sentence says, "DAMN! I WASH I WAS A NEW KID" I know she doesn't even like him that way she just knows it sounds funny. I don’t think April can be any different. I hope she just lets people know that it is just who she is. She can be so fun to be with and she can make a whole crowd of people laugh so hard that they are crying just because they can’t believe that someone would actually say what she is saying. I hope the kids are not too hard on her. Brent and Crystal made home fries and April cooked up the left overs. Brent has been out with Crystal all evening. Annie at 11/13/2001 04:39:00 p.m. There was a fatal car crash at the intersection a block away from our house this morning and it took James 25 minutes just to get Stacy to the Rec Centre. The traffic was tied up all day because they closed the entire area off. I had to out of my way and pick her up behind the Rec Centre and it still took me 25 minutes. Nadia worked at the Hall of Fame Inductee Night tonight and was so excited. She met a lot of hockey people and made some contacts, which will be good for Nadia in the business she wants to be in. We took Monica to pitching clinic and the president of their organization was there to talk to us about coaching for them. When I got home I phoned another coach and she said that she doesn't trust him but there was another squirt team with no coach. If that is the case I would want to be with Joe who has coached with James for years. I am going to Jessie's hockey game with Stacy. Jessie scored. I was talking to one of the hockey mothers and somehow we started talking about periods and how young some of our daughters were when they started. I mentioned about Stacy having to take the pill, expired, to regulate her for Track and Field at 13 yrs. old and that she didn't know what she was on it. I find it really easy to talk to her and I hope it goes no further. It is just making me sick with worry because it was innocent, so I hope it stays with her. She has a very beautiful daughter so maybe that information will help her. The yearbook teacher was there and she asked for my pictures from football and asked if I will be doing hockey as well. I loe hockey...sure I'll do it! Nadia met the College Sports Administrator tonight and she asked if he knew me and he said "Does she have a lot of kids?" Her teacher introduced her to him and kept praising her said that she was the next big name from the College. That is nice that she is making a name for herself. Annie at 11/12/2001 04:55:00 p.m. Remembrance day so it seems fitting that I am copying Grandpa's war itinerary that I got yesterday. Once I complied it all it is a list of everywhere that he went during the war. James is not feeling well today, probably because he sanded the kitchen table yesterday and for the most part he wore no mask so all that paint dust is in him. I picked Stacy and Jessie up to the Go Train so they can go the The Hockey Hall of Fame and the Legions Hockey game. He was pretty quiet in the car. I hope Stacy is right, that he is not moody. I want her to go out with a happy guy. Brent came home around 2pm, said work wasn't so fun and his tips weren't that high. He has a terrible cold. Crystal phoned the minute he walked in and dropped by for a while. Nadia and I had a heart to heart and I told her about what happened to me when I was 15. I haven't come right out and purposely told any of my kids that I was raped, but when they ask me questions about my past, I don't feel comfortable lying to them. So if they directly ask me a personal question, I will tell them the truth. We were drinking Vex and it really upset my stomach after a while. Oh yeah, someone icq'd me on the wrong icq. This is one of the many that April set up and forgot the password. I can't put my icq downstairs there because there is no room so I added my email address to her old ones so I could get them to email me the password and then I could remove it from the basement computer. Pretty smart eh?- but then I forgot all about it and left them on there. I probably wouldn't have seen the message for a long time if our network hadn't of been down. The basement is the only place that our Internet works right now. Maybe it has been on there for a while, who knows. This person was trying to explain why shorty was harassing Stacy and me. I don't know what the point was, the damage was already done and I think that once other people heard what was happening, others started to do the same thing to Stacy, who knows. Apparently, shorty lost a friendship over it. Stacy copied it because those kind of messages have a way of disappearing on there and sent a copy to Jake because he was involved somehow too. I remember now, I did talk to him about it before I talked to Stacy at a baseball game in the summer. Annie at 11/11/2001 03:45:00 p.m. I got to sleep in to 7:30 today, Nadia got the dog at 5:30. We asked Monica to look after it for a while and to take Caesar outside to go to the bathroom but she didn't and when she brought him upstairs he immediately peed on our bed so we can't let him up on our bed anymore. James stripped down the kitchen table today and I took Monica and Stacy to soccer and football. We went to go in the stadium and realized that we didn't have any money so we parked on the other side of the field close to the field-great seats. Our school lost in the final but our opponents were dropping like flies. The other team was very frustrated with their players getting hurt so they planned to do some hurting. They completely were falling apart and wanted to hurt someone real bad. They organized and the one guy kept telling his team to get it together and they would plan when they were going to do it. On the next tackle, we could hear them planning- which ended up being Jessie C. They hit him hard but he ended up walking off on his own steam. Jessie C. She was shocked that Brent wasn't with them. Josh usually is not the kid who is out late at night. Crystal stayed over last night and since we went to bed before Brent came home we didn’t even know she was here! Stacy went to co-op today even though they told her to go home because it is a co-op day. Nadia is at the Hockey Hall of Fame working today- she is so excited and so is Derrick, he came to pick her up extra early. Stacy went to Jessie’s in the afternoon and they went for a walk which I was happy to hear, as long as they are doing different things all the time I think that they will last a long time. April was supposed to baby sit with Chelsea but they are baby-sitting separately which I think is best. Monica went to work with Stacy in the evening to work out at her classes. And they will be walking home which I feel good about because I hate it when my kids have to walk alone. Brent is out with Adam. Crystal phoned to say that she is going to Liquid's and wanted to know if there is a cover charge. James says that this is the test now that she is 19 and can go to bars and Brent can't. James and I went out with Joe, Monica, Chris, and date to the Keg. After the Keg we parked at the Fire hall with permission because of Joe and tried to go to the bars but there were a line so we went to Liquid. It is a nightclub that Brent works at and it usually doens get lively until very late. That place is so sparse and all the bartenders were just given promotional uniforms, a short halter-top with a Blue logo and a very short skirt. One by one they came in tried the uniform and all complained. The skirts were so short that they couldn't climb the stairs without showing something. They eventually got there way as some got to wear pants but they weren't happy. When they were serving, the tops exposed almost everything they had. Next we went to a bar with people closer in age to us. They had a band but it was so smoky. Annie at 11/09/2001 04:14:00 p.m. April was home sick today- it is going through the family now. She never takes time off school so I know she is very sick when she gives in to it. Nadia did very well on her presentation for the Stanley Cup. She said that when the class was finished there were 10 guys waiting for her to talk about her project. Some of them want her presentation board. My dog Caesar By Monica When I got my dog Caesar it was really difficult to choose out of Caesar and his brother. We picked Caesar because his brother was really small and scared of my family. I think we made the right choice Caesar was supposed to be a Christmas present but because of the September 11th terrorist attack, nobody wanted this group of puppies because his birthday is on September 11th. I think it’s kind of strange. Caesar is getting big and a lot stronger. Yesterday he learned how to go up and down the stairs. That was cool too. I am really happy that we got Caesar! Annie at 11/08/2001 02:05:00 p.m. Brent was sick during the night and stayed home legit this time. It is Crystal's birthday and he asked what he should do. She has already been near him, if she is going to get it she will already have the germs, so I told him that because it is her birthday he should still try and take her out. April's teacher phoned here to say that April was dressed inappropriately for school but I said that she had a jacket on. Apparently if it was fleece even if it had a zipper and a hood she could still have worn it. Big deal. I question her telling us who is inappropriate when she has a tongue ring, a tattoo and wears that miniskirt that rolls up in the front- they sides might be the right length (finger tip rule), but it sure doesn't look nice where it rolls up. April was frustrated about the whole thing because she bawled out some girls in the morning about what they were wearing. The teacher said that if they came back to school like that she said that she was going to do something about it after lunch and then she ended up phoning me. April wasn't one of the girls that she threatened in the morning. After basketball, James and I went to Mark and Carrie's. We haven't been there for a long time. The hot tub is so relaxing. We got an e-mail from Joe asking if we are interested in coaching the Rep Softball team. I know that Monica should be in rep but I don't know if that is what we should do. It is an out of town team and the rep organiztion here has been trying to get her too. Annie at 11/07/2001 04:46:00 p.m. This morning Caesar woke up at 5 but I think that is because people left all the lights on downstairs. He thought it was morning. Brent didn't want to get up I had to threaten him. He is nocturnal which is hard to do when you go to school. I hate being involved in the waking up process. None of my kids use thier alarm clocks, they expect me to wake them up and I can't not wake them up. I feel like I am being run ragged with the car and I never get to see Gramma and Marita like I used to. I feel so bad about it especially Gramma being alone without Grampa. Every morning I spend in the car driving my kids when I used to spend it with James's parents. Driving Nadia to College, April and Monica always seem to have sports in the early morning, Stacy to her co-op, Brent to High school at 10:30 and then home for lunch with Stacy and then back to the High School- and this is all for the morning! The weird crossing guard spends so much of his time near our house watching me go in and out of our driveway. He just stares- freak. I don't for a minute regret driving my kids anywhere I like to. It gives me one on one time with them, I get to know there friends and they aren't afraid to talk in front of me a lot more, they don't think of me as the mother that will get mad at them for what they are saying. I love driving Jessie home too, it gives them more chance to see each other and I get to know him better too! Went to McDees for the kids and the Burger joint for us at lunch. Brent, Stacy and me went and picked out a beautiful necklace for Crystal, he backed out of the underwear! He bumped into her at the mall after he had bought the necklace. She asked if he was feeling better and then realized why he was there and left us! Geoff phoned Stacy again today but I got a hang up when I answered. Annie at 11/06/2001 03:56:00 p.m. Caesar was a different dog today. He was up most of the day, frisky, and wet a number of times on the floor. This is what we were expecting so it was a treat to have basically a week of him being a super pup- doing everything right. Derrick pops in on Nadia during the day either to or from College and she really looks forward to it- only maybe 15 minutes, but quality time I guess. Nadia and Stacy's computer isn't working- waiting for Brent to fix- don't hold your breath. Went to pitching clinic with Monica. Wow she can be lightning speed. I really think now that she should not be doing the house league. We are going to try a house league catcher to see if they will be able to catch her pitches. James says when Monica throws her fast balls, he has trouble with them. I don't think her coach thinks she should be in Select. She said that they won't even let her out in the park Brent and Crystal were suppose to go for supper at her uncles but there household is sick so they ordered in and ate in the family room and snuggled up on the coach. We don't see much of them here so it was nice to have them home. Annie at 11/05/2001 04:47:00 p.m. Brent came home at 9:15am, says he fell asleep at Crystal's. I guess she is calling all the shots and he can't resist. Watched the World Series. We bought a new washer and dryer, got a real deal because the customer in front of us told us we could talk them down. We asked to see her bill and the sales person finally let us. We paid less for the top of the line than we would have for the bottom of the line. Total including taxes, delivery installation and pick up $1500. I really hate shopping. Caesar is really being good, never cries at night and sleeps all night. He hardly ever wets inside now. He does like the family room rug by the big window; maybe he thinks that it's outside there, so we really have to monitor him in that room. He is so good natured! I have been trying to make a video from the action pictures I have been taken at football games. It is my way of learning different computer programs if I have a main focus I can understand it better. I am going to give Jessie C. the finished product, I have many pictures of him since he was usually involved in the offense and defence. I can put it on show on the go and it will play on any computer. It is hard getting the pictures in sequence with the music. I enjoy that part though. Annie at 11/04/2001 03:56:00 p.m. April had a Volleyball tournament that lasted all day. I had breakfast with the oneof the mothers, Fran. Fran asked why the coach plays the inexperienced players over April but I didn't really respond. It is interesting that other people have noticed, but I don't think the coach really likes her. I think that there would be trouble between the two but I am always here so she can't really do to much more to April that not play her as she should. I'm not saying anything though- it is part of life that you can't get along with everyone. April just has to handle it herself and she is being a good sport about it. I went to supper with James at Harps and it is not the same as it used to be, they have some special topping on the prime rib and we don't like it. Visited Dave for a drink- Marita was sick. Took Stacy & Jessie to the movies- Monster Inc she was laughing that they had a punching fight there. Monica forgot her soccer and birthday party- a sleep over at Melissa's Monica told me that lil'Mike tried to defend Monica when Ryan E. was trying to encourage the guys to touch her chest at the dance. He bravely (lil'Mike is so short and Ryan is in grade seven and is adult size already) went up to Ryan and told him to stop bothering Monica . I really admire him for that, he didn't have to get involved but he did it to protect Monica . He is a little gentlemen! Annie at 11/03/2001 04:37:00 p.m. Brent left house at 12 at night and phoned a message in at 2am to say that he stayed at Adam's.I don't know how he arranged the message, the phone is by my bedside and I am a light sleeper. Has he found a way to have it not ring? I wonder if he turned the ringer off? I had trouble in the night- still not feeling well. The music video is almost finished. I took the dog to the vet and he has gained 4 pounds 10 lbs 4 oz. He just lays on the vets table pretending he is asleep, he is so calm and docile- a perfect pup! You can roll him over on his back and he lays there until you move him. Oh, yeah, I was so pissed tonight, James too. Nadia's friend Kady asked if we could pick her up and take her to commencement and she kept us waiting for 25 minutes in the parking lot. It was like she thinks she is a Princess or something and we had to wait until she was good and ready. Nadia kept phoning her telling her to come down. The whole time I am getting madder at this kid because she gypped Nadia out of her scholarship and then she does this too. It really put a damper on the evening. Commencement was sooo long, almost 3 hours and Nadia received the Vice Principal's Award of Merit, Ontario Scholar and OAC Honour Roll. Pretty impressive huh? Nadia's mark was in the top 5 in all of her school and in that top five she was the only one that didn't go to University opted for College instead. I hope she made the right decision but she is enjoying it so much that I know it has to be the right choice for Nadia. I am so proud of her! Nadia had her sleep over, after commencement, they played with the dog during the night and basically stayed up all the night. In the morning they had hysterical giggles. I think our pup is a party animal. Stacy at Amy’s for an overnighter. Preteen dance for April & Monica. Monica punched Ryan E. in the stomach, knocked the wind right out of him! He was trying to encourage other guys to touch her boobs. He is so much older and taller than her, it must have been quite a sight. Stacy had some guy practice an assessment on her at the rec centre and her body fat was 9.9% -too low. For a woman anything below 12 % body fat, health problems may occur so we have to keep my eye on her. I didn't think that this would happen at a time that she isn't running but she is still exercising at the rec centre, I think. Annie at 11/02/2001 04:56:00 p.m. My car is in for repairs today so I have a loner. I don't like the Montana, too much up in the nose. I took the Volleyball team to a volleyball game. When we went to leave I couldn't recognize the van I was driving but we finally found it. There were about 8 vans in a row. They lost but they played well for all having green hair. I watched High school football, they are stron and really played well again. Football rules!~! We thought the piano teacher cancelled on us but we were off by a week. Our piano teacher is not a dog lover. How can anyone be nervous of a puppy? I think that she was being polite and felt obliged to hold our puppy. She assumed that he could land on his feet so when she as finished holding him she flipped her hands over as if it were a cat and just dropped our puppy to the floor. Then she looked at Monica's face, spotted with acne, and asked if she had the chicken pox- Monica was hurt. The piano teacher is not too poplar right now! Jessie came over to wrestle with Stacy and we drove Nadia to Derrick's. Brent, we never saw until 10:30. Crystal has been picking up Brent from school even though he could get a ride with his friends or me. If she is there and he is in my car or his friends you can see her get upset. She is supposed to be going to College but she is obviously not going. If she is going to quit I hope she has done it before the deadline to get part of your money back.
