June 29/01 We went to the cottage for 5 days We took Jessie up with us. Nadia and Brent didn’t go, he had to work July 1 at 5am to 11 and he is not too happy with those hours. Mark and Carrie, Dave and Kathy and families were there. Annie at 6/29/2001 04:59:00 p.m. I gave away the grad pictures on the collage to the grade 8’s. Stacy, Jessie and Amy went to Wonderland today by bus. James and I picked them up. Stacy told us that Jessie and his parents were worried about how we would feel about him having a tattoo because we were likely to see it when he comes up to our cottage. Stacy explained that James had a couple but it was nice that he was worried about what we thought about it. Annie at 6/28/2001 02:59:00 p.m. Nadia and I went to the College and paid her tuition $2244.00. It really irks me that Kay got that scholarship over Nadia when it clearly should be Nadia’s- not because she is my daughter but because she deserved it. Nadia had the highest marks and this girl cheated to get it. She went back home as soon as they awarded her the scholarship, she wasn’t homeless at all, she just knew how to work the system. I don’t want Nadia to dwell on it though so I can’t say too much about it. Still…. I got stung for the first time ever today. I got a photo album out of the mailbox and all of a sudden my wrist started to hurt near my watchband. I didn’t know what had happened but when I opened the photo album the wasp flew out. I went to the school to put up pictures for the collage for the grade 8 graduations and I had to leave because it swelled up so much. I finished it later. The pictures really turned out well. The grade 8’s loved it! April helped out at grad, a bunch of them took some trays of food into the washroom, wolfed down the food and just as they came around the corner the teacher saw them and they thought they were in big trouble. Instead she praised them for serving the people with the trays of food! She deserves this because she always assumes that she knows what is going on and this kind of attitude always bothers people. April got one of her best report cards and Monica got all A’s as usual. Annie at 6/27/2001 04:38:00 p.m. April and Monica went to a piano concert today at thier piano teachers’s new house. She said the place is so small that the parents aren’t invited ya.. O.K. Carrie offered to take them for us which is great. Monica said that the kids stuffed themselves so much with candy that the piano was all sticky. I guess that’s what parents are for! Annie at 6/26/2001 03:16:00 p.m. Stacy, Amy and Jessie went to see Fast and the Furious. April and Monica played softball against each other again and they both played well. It is hard but you can actually route for both teams as long as you sit right behind the Ump Adam has the most humongous hickey from his out of towner girlfriend. I think she is part Hoover. Nadia has been telling me how Grammie has been scolding her about College. Grammie doesn’t want Nadia to go to College, she wants her to go to University. She has threatened not to give Nadia the money she has always promised for her tuition but Nadia is standing up to her every step of the way. Grammie remarked that the only reason that she is going to college is because she is following her boyfriend and Nadia really took offence to that. Grammie always forgets that the words she uses can never be taken back and they are not forgotten. She can’t bully Nadia into Grammie way of thinking. Nadia is a lot stronger than I as and she has a backbone and she won’t back down from Grammie. Annie at 6/25/2001 05:34:00 p.m. HI EVERYONE-- JUST TO LET U ALL KNOW THAT DAD WASENT FEELING THE GREATEST TODAY SO HAD THE NURSE COME OVER TO CHECK HIM OUT-- AND SHE SAID TOO MANY THINGS WERE NOT RIGHT SO-- SHE SAID I THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE HIM TO HOSPITAL AND GET HIM CHECKED OVER PROPERLY----- WELL --- THEY SAID HE HAS PNEUMONIA-- BUT THE DOCTOR SAID THEY WILL KEEP HIM IN HOSP. FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEY HAVE GREAT THINGS TO GET RID OF PNEUMONIA NOW A-DAYS-- SO DONT WORRY--THAT IS WHERE HE IS RIGHT NOW-- SO JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS LOVE U ALL GOOD NIGHT LOVE- MOM Monica softball tourney where they came in 4th. Stacy had a tourney that was a one and a half hours drive , and James couldn’t drive me. I picked up another player, who has an incredibly steep driveway and my trailer hitch got stuck on the end of their driveway- left a huge scrap in it. I actually took the hiway!!!!!! James couldn’t believe that I was so fast that I had to be speeding but there were no cars around at 6 in the morning. Stacy’s hand was injured by a line drive. I took them to Baskin and Robbins when we got back to town to wake them up! Annie at 6/24/2001 04:28:00 p.m. Stacy, softball tournament. I am getting to know 2 of the mothers pretty well and they are really nice. We were talking at a restaurant and they mentioned Jessie C. and how he is controlling his new girlfriend who happens to be one of their daughter’s friends. She is not seeing her close friends since she has been going out with him. That is too bad because I was hoping for the best for him and hoped that he had learned from his relationship with Stacy that it works two ways. James was with Nadia for baseball too. Annie - Don't worry about it. I'll keep trying too. Thanks Laurie is still trying to avoid everyone- she doesn't relate to anyone where death is involved. Brent was very exasperated today, Jeannette, in one word. All of a sudden she started flirting with Steve, in front of Brent. Brent says he doesn’t even really care about her anymore but he was upset when Steve intended on meeting her without Brent. Brent stopped him in his car at school and questioned him about it. I am surprised that Steve, a friend, would try to do that behind Brent’s back. April went to Canada’s Wonderland with the band. I was supposed to help but I was way to sick to go. Stacy had Amy and Jessie over Nadia went to the town Mardi Gras at the four corners tonight. She said there were a lot of old biker chicks hooter mooning everyone! April is at Pleasure Valley and I am suppose to go to Wonderland with the school tomorrow but I think I am too sick. James bought a Digital Camera for about $2300.!!!! It is so fancy that I am afraid to even touch it. April loves the cherry tree-she is camped out in it these days! James expects Brent to pay up. I think Brent has soured on her anyway, I don’t think she is a nice person. Brent and Adam don’t realize it but looking at it from where I am I saw both of the work there asses off for her parents even though she says she hates her mom. I think they were taken advantage of. Apparently her mom really likes Brent (a sign of conflict). I wonder if James told Stacy to pay for the long distance calls too- that’s between James and the kids. Stacy went out with Jessie to the movie Pearl Harbor because her baseball was cancelled for exams. In my quest to try and do the facts of life talks with my kids I got carried away and bought two books... "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Amazing Sex" and "Sex for Dummies." Now just where do I hide it? Actually the kids got a kick out of it. I didn’t let the younger one see it. I still have to talk to them and April runs the minute I mention “sex.” Annie at 6/20/2001 04:21:00 p.m. Stacy and Nadia came out to lunch with me and we had a great time. While we were talking about sex I told them above all there was one thing I wanted them to remember. Before I could say it they said in unison “We Know, Double protection!” My sore throat has turned into a very bad cold but I am the only person who seems to have it. It is exam time so everyone is a little high strung right now, except Brent, he just doesn’t study. Must be nice to just be smart enough to get away with it! Janette phoned James and apologized to James for the way she behaved on the phone. It was her on the phone, not Adam’s girlfriend so Brent has lied to us over a girl-this is the first time we have caught him lying. He had a talk with her about it, accepted the apology and then told her he didn’t want her to ever answer our phone again. Nadia worked for most of the day on the web page for Softball. Nadia had a rough ball game tonight more like her teammates. She got her select uniform, it is sleeves, but not the same as my other girls, it looks like cheaper material. Annie at 6/18/2001 05:00:00 p.m. Stacy raced in a small Track meet today. She had to run with the girls 17 and under and had a time of 2:38.45 for the 800m and 5:32.65 for the 1500m. We went to mom and dads for Fathers day. Everyone was there and dad would come in and out but mostly had to lay down. Poor guy. Annie at 6/17/2001 02:57:00 p.m. April had her Novice tournament in Whitby and she didn’t to too bad. I was proud of them and I told April that in front of Tina. She didn’t look to happy and I found out later she really bald out the kids for the way they played. Apparently April stood up for herself to Tina and I told her that if ever she feels in the right that I am glad she stood up for herself. Donna and I zipped over to the Squirt tournament to see the championship game and they won! Monica pitched awesome and the last out was after a throw out to first, first base though back to Monica and she through to 3rd for a double play. Nadia had a tourney in Cedar Hill cancelled. We went to Don Cherry’s after to celebrate and Nadia came with us and she asked for a select and got one! We had just met Brent’s girlfriend, Janette down in our basement She is very pretty with great eyes but wasn’t too talkative with us, that’s ok. Stacy was suppose to go with us to but Shelly rudely asked why Stacy was coming when she wasn’t at the game so Stacy’s feelings were hurt. I phoned for Stacy at the restaurant and a girl answered and was quite ignorant to me on the phone so James phoned back and she yelled at him and told him to “quit Fucking phoning” James phoned again and finally got Brent-boy, was James mad. Brent said it was Adam’s girlfriend on the phone. Good first impression. Annie at 6/16/2001 04:14:00 p.m. I always told my kids that if they were going to drink I wanted them at my house or if they were just learning, to be with a few friends or they’re boyfriend or girlfriend so they would not make an ass out of themselves until they learned how to handle it. Stacy told me that she was going over to Jessie’s to a party, and she probably would be drinking. I know that she likes to be in control of everything that happens to her and that she doens't know herself enough when she has a drink to be comfortable with herself. I know teens have to experiment with drinking, that is not what bothers me. It bothered me to think that she wouldn’t be anywhere where I could help her if she needed me and even though I think I trust Jessie, I don’t know how he is when he is drinking (Like if he was like Dan, Brent’s friend -last summer, I would be concerned). I know Jessie acted responsibly at Stacy’s party, but I would like to know him better before I could really say I trust him completely. Anyway after school I opened a Woody and asked Stacy if she would like to try it with me and she liked it. Then I opened a Mike’s Hard lemonade for each of us but before I could drink mine I had to drive someone somewhere. When I got back she had drank hers and mine and she was feeling nooooo pain. (high alcohol content) She wrestled me, sung to the top of her lungs, danced which I have never seen her do and would have fits of laughing. I wasn’t upset that she did it all, in fact if I could have planed it I would have. I realized that there would be a length of time that she wouldn’t be drinking between the time she went to Jessie’s and now and if she was anything like me, which she is in almost every respect, she wouldn’t be able to drink at Jessie’s. I drove her there and gave a James’s hard to Jessie and told him that she had been drinking so I only wanted her to have one, but I was pretty sure that because of the length of time between drinking she would be coming down off her high and wouldn’t want any more. Apparently I was right. But she did have a lot of fun so that is the main thing and Jessie took good care of her. April went to a Video dance. When I went to pick them up they weren’t coming out and they weren’t at the pick up area so I had to go in. Someone had taken Chelsea’s jacket and they waited until everyone had left to try and find it. No luck. Annie at 6/14/2001 05:41:00 p.m.

There is a little chaos here with all the baseball this summer-8 teams but it is fun to watch & hopefully it will keep them out of trouble! April is my wild child, our school split into 2 schools and ALL April’s friends go to the new school. Unfortunately she has been bouncing around looking for new friends. Kids that I wouldn't let her hang with when she was little are around but she has to make her own choices at this age. I told her that I’ve been waiting for her and I can take her on but who am I kidding. She finds all the angles! The 3 oldest all have significant others, a first for our home and the good thing is they all keep the house cleaner-alright!!! I think or other people have told me that Laurie’s brother has died but I haven't been able to contact Laurie. I don't think anybody up north really knows if this is true but I have had phone calls asking me. Please let me know if you have any idea cuz I did like Ron & I would like to be there for Laurie even if she is dodging everyone. One of our girls got hit in the mouth with a ball just before the game. She had braces on and three teeth twisted around so much that we thought she had lost one. The during the game a father came out on the field and pushed his daughter off and said that she couldn't play because she didn't finish her project. The rules off this tournament say you need 6 girls & 6 boys alternating in the batting order and we didn’t have enough to field the team. I asked them if they wanted me to go get Monica so off I went. The principle came and saw that she was more than capable because he didn't want anymore injuries. She played 2nd and any time there was a double play it was Monica on 2nd April on 1st. The team didn't do well but it was fun to watch- especially with a grade 5 with 7 & 8s! Jessie came with his mom to Stacy’s baseball game. Brent came for the first time in years to Stacy’s game last year he was supposed to and was actually at the ball park but some of his girl friends were playing at the next diamond so he watched that one instead. I jokingly told Big Al that his select team sucked which it does, he knows it and other people heard it and so I guess it will now make the rounds how I dissed Big Al. You are to arrive a half hour before at the hospital, to the x-ray reception,-no makeup or jewellery Annie at 6/13/2001 05:30:00 p.m. I decided that it was time that I started buying my girls and myself some really nice underwear and Bra’s so I have been going to La Senza and hopefully they will take care of them and appreciate them. James saw the La Senza name on his bank statement and thought that they were from a restaurant so he claimed it as a business deduction for entertainment. I guess you could think of pretty underwear as entertainment! Brent’s school had a suicide, the guy hung himself in front of the school & it is bothering him. Brent went out for a walk around 11:30 at night against my wishes to be alone and 3 guys tried to assault him but Brent beat one and the others ran away. It is hard when you are that age and death has to be brought up, isn't it. Grammie is trying to pressure me into making Nadia go to University. She doesn’t realize that she has no say in Nadia’s Post Secondary education but she thinks that she does because she is paying the first year tuition. It is Nadia’s life and Nadia has control over it. I am proud of all the decisions Nadia has made and she is being very mature in all her decision-making. Nadia knows that I would prefer her to do College first so I am with Nadia all the way. I want her to have college first and then University but it was completely her decision. Annie at 6/12/2001 05:22:00 p.m. For Brents co-op assignment he got a wooden display board that was going to be thrown out and stapled his assignment on both sides. You swing it around to see the other side- different wires and cable and pictures. April watched him for a while and then told him that he shouldn’t do such a good job because they won’t believe that it was his own work. I hope that she gets over that French assignment, she had in grad 6 because she won’t even try to do extra things for school still. That teacher should never have accused April of having someone else do her work- she just gave up- especially when she tried so hard. On the way to drive Monica to baseball I dropped Stacy off at West Park to meet Jessie. I don't just want to drop her in the middle of nowhere so we went looking for him. I guess he thought that it would take her longer to come because we couldn’t find him after driving through all the streets, so we went back to West Park. Finally he came. I still feel strange dropping my girls off to meet people. Later when I picked her up she said that Jessie accidentally (on purpose) spat a sticky candy in her hair. She was really laughing at that. It is so good to see her relaxing these days. Annie at 6/11/2001 04:19:00 p.m. April spent all day working on a project William Lyon Mackenzie. Unfortunately I wasn’t paying attention and she used the printer printing the same pictures out again and again….. $$$$ I went to the sports complex and watched Jessie play Hockey and Derrick play baseball. Derrickwas catching. Not too many spectators at there game. Derrick’s parents don’t go to his games- Nadia says that they are home bodies- but still… Brent came home late- he was out working at his girlfriend’s for her parents and I think for Adam’s girlfriend too. Sounds weird or maybe a great idea. Slave labor by using your daughter’s boyfriend. They will tire of that REAL SOON (I hope). Annie at 6/10/2001 05:14:00 p.m. Stacy’s softball tourney was cancelled so they had a couple of games in friendly games nearby. The parents are really friendly. Stacy pitched all of the second game. Brent stayed out all night with Adam and went to see those girls that live about a half hours drive from here, I think. Nadia went to the movie Evolution. Annie at 6/09/2001 05:06:00 p.m. James and Mark went to the cottage to open it up. P.A. day for the elementary school. Jessie went to his Dad’s for the weekend. I guess he lives far away because Stacy doesn’t hear from him when he goes there. I don’t think he lives long distance, it is just when he is at his dad’s it is like a different world and whatever is in his life here, is not welcome at his dad’s. So they maintain this silence. Strange. Annie at 6/08/2001 03:14:00 p.m. email TO GRANDMA - Hi. Hope everything is going well. I was at track and field again yesterday. the 4th time in a week and a half. I went for a walk this morning and ended up at your house. I am glad to see you two out a about. It is a good walk so I think I will do it more often. I forgot that I was supposed to be at the school. They were honouring me for my volunteer work! Oh well, can't remember everything. April went to a video dance at Jack Miner for the afternoon. Made an appearance at the year end b.b.q at the school ANNIE Nadia received the standings for the baseball and in Novice Monica ’s team is in first while April’s is in last. April is not dwelling on the scores of the game, she is just having a lot of fun. Some of the kids on April’s’ team are making silly mistakes, they aren’t really that bad. Nadia’s team should be doing better but what rotten luck- they are in last place too. Nadia didn’t enjoy losing to Hannah’s team, she taunts Nadia and they lost big time tonight. Annie at 6/07/2001 05:11:00 p.m. ICQ messages Please give me some advice Nadia. You know I am not strict, but I can't stand the thought of deception. It might sound trivial but lying leads to more lies. Should I put a time limit on the computer. You know I have never not allowed you to stay on late. Have I created a problem that is easy to cover up? NADIA -I don't really think you've got anything to worry about, MSN isn't even installed on our computer, I just went and checked. I've never seen Stacy use it, and I think the person you've been getting messages from is just trying to cause problems. The latest I've seen Stacy stay up is like 12, 12:30, somewhere in there. I know cause she's loud when she goes to bed and always wakes me up. Vanessa 6/6/2001 5:10 PM Hi Annie!!! I don't usually see Laurie except maybe at the LCBO or run in to her at the grocery store, today I just saw her in passing, and we waved. That’s about it. Hannah Y. called last nite, and asked me if I had seen Laurie also, she has been trying to get a hold of her too, but can't seem to either. Tonight Jessie came to watch Stacy play ball. He came with his friend Shane (wow what a smile!) Dawn was there because we were playing her daughters team and I guess that is why Shane was there, his mom says they are going out. I drove them home after. Annie at 6/06/2001 03:28:00 p.m. Things have gotten pretty weird. Turns out that the person that has been bothering me about Stacy has also been saying stuff to Stacy as well as 2 other people that have different icq#'s but the same name shiekboy. Shorty is the 1 that has been saying stuff to me. They seem to have a way to make some of the messages disappear after you read them, so it must be someone who knows alot about computers. Get this- the number of the icq that the shorty person has apparently Nadia made up for me about 2 years ago. I never used it- never knew how, didn't even try icq until December when I contacted you. She thinks that because there is a Skittle on her list and that is what she called me. Personally I think she is wrong, I looked up Skittles and there are alot of them. She thinks someone hacked icq and took my icq that I never used. We tried to get into using the passwords that I would have used but it didn’t work. The thing that has me so upset is that stupid me- I use the same password for everything including bank cards. I have to change everything all my passwords and I don't want to tell James because he will make us get rid of icq- I just know it. His passwords and mine are the same. Crazy eh? If I tell Brent he will probably try to hack those icq#s and if he ever got caught- well that is the line of work he wants to be in so if that was on any record, that he got caught doing any hacking, it could ruin his career. So us girls are left trying to figure this out. I just hope that Nadia is wrong and it was never my number but I will change all my passwords just the same. It still leaves us with why is someone doing this to Stacy. The one shiekboy seems to like her, the other one calls her bad names and the shorty is just there to cause trouble. She thinks shorty is a girl. They contact other people too but she says it is mostly about her. I found this in the history and outbox but it is not in the history. Alot of the messages just disappear after you read them. The following reason for the authorize request was given your kids is not where u think she is.. does she sleep all day on msn all night? You have authorized him/her to add you to his/her Contact List. Nadia says get over it that her email has been hacked and bad things sent to her friends and that it just happens sometimes. I guess she is right-it happened to you guys with the death threats right? Also when we were looking at shorty’s details the name changed from shorty to Sue and then back to shorty so they must have been on line changing it just at that moment Finals for Track and Field Monica for hurdles, and she had. a decent run, off to a good start but didn’t place in the top three. Holly was 1st at 400 and 3rd 200. Monica placed 9th in the 1500. After I went Bra hunting. My girls are really getting into this La Senza underwear, they love it. Annie at 6/05/2001 04:45:00 p.m. email to Vanessa Hey Vanessa I could really use a talk right now. There is a person on icq that won't identify themselves, I don't know if it is a guy or a girl. It started in February I think and they were saying things about Stacy that weren’t true. I know for a fact because she just wasn't going out at the time they were saying she was doing something, when she was home. All of a sudden they are asking me if Stacy is tired because she has been up all night on MSN My family is not allowed to use MSN because it seems to mess up the computers and we have icq so why do they need it. Is there any way to find out if she is on MSN late at nights? Yesterday I went to go in her room and the door was locked. When she let me in she sat at the computer and wasn't really doing anything on it. It struck me weird at the time. Now that person has got me wondering? Sometimes I feel like taking it all off- all the message services and let them get to know what the voices of the people they are talking to by using the phone. Anyway you mentioned before that you used it. Can you tell when someone is on or can they hide like on icq? How can I tell if she is going behind my back? Derrick’s mom came to take some pictures but she wouldn’t come in to our house. She was standoffish but Nadia told me later she is just quiet. I don’t know, I just got the feeling she didn’t like the whole Nadia- Derrick situation. The kids all came to our house, we took pictures and then drove them to the waterfront in Toronto. I know that they were happy to have us drive because all the Limo’s dropped the kids off in the pouring rain, while our kids waited in the van for the boat to come in. While we waited for the prom to be over we went to The old Spaghetti Factory. James’s ribs were unacceptable so we didn’t have to pay for them and they gave us free dessert too! They suggested that we go up to see the Full Monty because that was the premier and it would be the only place that might have tickets still. The ticket girl laughed at us when we asked for tickets so we just started to walk around. We were looking through a hole at a construction probably looking very much like country hicks when a woman came up and asked if we were Theatergoers. She said that she was offering free tickets to us if we would go with her. Oh yeah! Very entertaining and we just might have had more fun than the prom people! April went to the local dance last night....She was with tons of guys...and April was so excited that Bradent the guy she has been stalking stalked for two years Braden asked her to dance!!!
