Feb 27/01 Dad got his first chemo today. I just hope to god it is not as bad as the chemo my dad got. It ruined about four days in a row where he could barely get out of bed and then he would have to go again. James’s dad has been in great spirits though. Mark says it is good that he says “what the heck” and has a beer or two with us. I usually go everyday and have one with him. He is starting to get a little quiet though. Brent was driving home from school with James and Stacy and they saw an accident on Annes street. It was a 10 year old girl and she ended up under a car. Brent said she just ran out in front of the car they were about to pass. The driver didn’t have a chance. Next swimming lesson I watched and the same thing happened so I went down to the pool and talked to the life guard and said I knew what was happening and I didn’t want her to fail because of that and to keep them away from each other. Mark Mills was in the background and he tried to catch my attention and when he did he was all smiles and waves, so I finally waved back. They said they would watch April and the guy. I took Stacy to see Brian Brie’s hockey game. Stacy wanted to go but kept changing her mind. (He has a girlfriend so I don’t know if Stacy knows, in what capacity he is asking her out-hopefully friends). Apparently he is not playing so she would be sitting with him. I got April and Monica from swimming and when we were there Stacy was chickening out so I sat down and she wanted so bad to leave. She was getting mad at me and then she decided to phone Dezzie, which I didn’t want her to, but she thought he was going out to a movie. Finally Jeff showed up and so did Dezzie. It is good to see her go out though. I am pretty sure this Jeff guy is one of Jake’s friends that were teasing Stacy about Jake’s feelings towards her. Nadia is showing so much energy around the house, and looks so happy. She is getting closer to Derrick, she even went to his house this month and she looks soooo good. I am so proud of Nadia. Annie at 2/27/2001 12:27:00 p.m. It was so warm yesterday a lot of snow melted yeah but now there is yucky old black crud that is so hard no kid will play in it. I can't wait for spring. I just got a phone call from the school I have to drop something off back in 5. I spent the morning over at Marita’s and I showed her how to use icq. She seemed to really like it. I guess it is a break from all Dave business stuff that she has to gather for taxes. James's mom just dropped in to give us some of Ken’s birthday cake.!!! This afternoon it is me and laundry and cleaning off my dining room table. There are things from xmas on it still! I got a message on my icq today from someone named shorty. When I went to check the history the message wasn’t there. I can’t remember what exactly it said because I closed it real fast because I was shocked, but it was a put down on Stacy saying that she is messing around with a lot of guys. They wouldn’t respond. I’m not saying anything to Stacy about it because she has not been going out anywhere so it can’t be true. I replied - no, not true, she hasn't even been out & who are you to try to get her in trouble. Monica ’s pitching has reached a new plateau. I am trying to get her to trust her aim by saying that I trust it enough to not move my glove and just know that she is going to hit it and sometimes I even close my eyes. I only do this when she has been accurate for a long time! She is getting too hard and fast for me to catch for her. She has hit me but it is when I looked away for a brief moment and looked back and got it in my face. Ouch! Nadia just was told by Guidance that she has the highest marks in her school for those who applied for college and is eligible for a 4,000 a year scholarship for collages. Because Nadia has the highest markets for people going to College, she could get a Scholarship from the College. She has to write a letter to show them why she thinks she should be entitled to it but usually it goes to the person with the highest marks so Nadia should have nothing to worry about. I guess this is her way of telling me that she has decided on College instead of University. I think Nadia has made the right choice but I have not been pushy about what she wants because I made my say a while ago, she knows how I feel and it is all up to her. I will not pressure Nadia right now at all. I want her to make her own choices. I think she has researched everything and knows what she is doing. Annie at 2/26/2001 04:20:00 p.m. I had a scary experience this weekend. I went to bed with an ache in my arm and woke up in the middle of the night with incredible chest pains I went to the hospital at 6 and they rush me in to the monitors. Eventually it stopped and they gave me painkillers. They said it was muscular but it scarred me alot. We went to Don Cherry’s for supper and Stacy & I had Greek salads. I tried for something healthier. I kept looking at my family through different eyes when you have gone through an experience where you don’t know if you still going to be around. Nadia is tackling another huge project. She has decided to do it on Hockey in Finland. Louise is involved in manufacturing sports equipment businesses in Finland, so she is going to help her with some information. Annie at 2/25/2001 04:18:00 p.m. The play off’s for Monica ’s soccer started today. They lost one game and won the rest. The parents are all of a sudden pretty serious about these play off games. They are keeping track about how often kids are being played. April is having trouble wearing her contacts. She found it so easy to put them in at the Dr. but at home she can’t. Oh well, she knows we tried. It is all up to April now. Stacy went to the movie Valentine with Jake. They went pretty late in the evening. I am so glad she is going out of the house again. Annie at 2/24/2001 04:16:00 p.m. It is a P.A. day for High School. We are slowly getting our computers up and running, we now have 3 computers that are back on the Internet. Hopefully things will start running smoothly now. They have been up and down (mostly down) since the beginning of December. James uses his for work and it seems like he is on it 12 hours a day. When we were down to one, everyone had essays, projects etc. and we were lined up to use it! We are pretty dependent on them. TO BRENT Thanks Brent for getting all the computers running. You said that you would if we have a new computer and it happened. Stacy went out for once thank god, to Gemma's. They haven’t been seeing very much of each other at all, they really don’t seem to have anything in common since Gemma kept backing out of skiing last year. I am just glad that she went anywhere. She wasn’t all that happy with her when she got back. Gemma is still going out with Jessie Black and I know it really bugs her because Gemma didn’t even know Jamie, she just went out with him because she knew Stacy liked him. Annie at 2/23/2001 04:15:00 p.m. It is 9:00 AM and I’m here, just waiting for Brent to leave. Adam is his ride to his Cisco Networking course is real late. Classes have already started and they are about a twenty minute drive to school. There he goes! I wish I were driving him instead of his friend Adam because it takes forever to wake Brent up on time and then Adam comes so late. I have to go get my tires rotated and an oil change. I'll be back in about an hour or so. We bought a new computer for James today for $1689.43. That is the least that we have paid for a new computer! Nadia and Stacy get James’s office one. I don’t understand why Nadia is not getting a job for the afternoons. She has a chance to work when her friends would be at school so it won’t affect her social life and I would drive her. Nadia hasn’t asked me to drive her anywhere with résumés. She should experience Joe jobs to get good job ethics, everyone has to pay their dues. I really don’t think Nadia is even trying and I don’t know how much James and I should be pushing her. I took Nadia to Derrick’s tonight and picked her up later. She looked bewildered about the whole experience. I think she is completely lost about what is going on with the two of them. I tried not to pry, just asked her if everything was all right. Annie at 2/22/2001 04:13:00 p.m. We are getting afraid of Nortel, it is all you are hearing on the news so James sold the shares he bought yesterday. Nortel is going down fast. I thought the puter problems were over but I tried to get on icq this morning but no. Are you on at 8 in the morning or is the clock wrong. April got her contacts she wanted so bad. I let her go into the eye doctor by herself to help her feel more grown up. When she got home she had trouble putting them in her eyes and got pretty disillusioned. Monica was having a tough time at pitching clinic tonight. I guess even the most confident and skilled athletes have doubts sometimes. She started to notice Sheena pitching and Sheena is getting stronger and more accurate. We were in the stairwell talking about it and Monica was worried that Sheena would be the number one pitcher instead of her. I was straight with her, I said that yes she has improved, but be happy for her because it means that our team will be even better if we have two really good pitchers and yes that maybe she will be the number one pitcher- that is all up to the two of them. Monica should be happy for her and realize that this is the way that Sheena feels too, and since they are such good friends, that you can both cheer each other on. It ended on a happy note and just at that moment Sheena came around the corner. They both gave each other huge smiles and even if Sheena heard every word of it, it is good for each other to know that they can compete and still be friends. That is what Monica and Holly are like too. I didn’t handle the wine too well at Mark and Carrie’s tonight. I only have a little, not even as much as the others but it doesn’t sit well with me. Annie at 2/21/2001 04:12:00 p.m. We decided to buy some more Nortel stock. People are saying it is going down and it will have to go up again quick so James bought 110 more shares of Nortel at $4488. I went right into the school office and told them that Brent is not in any of the classes that they think he is in. After I thought we had straightened it out the secretary asked me why is he missing his afternoon classes. Hello??? He is not at that school at all. Hope they get it this time. Stacy is sick or exhausted- I don’t know. Had April’s eyes tested, she has a new prescription. I am letting her go in to see the eye Dr. alone and he doesn’t seem to think there will be any problem with April being so young (grade 7) so I hope she takes care of her eyes. Swimming lessons. I haven’t been staying at the swimming lessons with the kids because there was a guy there that was a little too friendly with me. When I started watching again I couldn’t believe my eyes. There was April being real friendly with the lifeguard’s assistant. When she was suppose to swim a length of pool April would follow the guy even if he only went half way and it was so obvious that the really weren’t part of the swimming lessons, they were in there own world -all smiles for each other. After the lesson I asked if that assistant was any help and Monica said no because he only paid attention to April. Annie at 2/20/2001 02:08:00 p.m. The high school phoned again about Brent not attending classes- I can’t seem to set them straight- they don’t seem to believe me that he isn’t suppose to be there-that he is at the other school, in Cisco Networking and Co-op in the afternoon. They actually want Brent to come in between the two to sign in. ahhh- no! Nadia is wearing tighter clothes now that she has lost weight and she is dressing a lot better now. I hated those cargo type pants that have huge pockets on the side. They make a person look even bigger than they are. But Nadia and I can wear each other pants right now if we want and Nadia actually has! Annie at 2/19/2001 12:06:00 p.m. April and Monicawent to a Juniour A hockey game with their school. They sat near the the neighbourhood kids. Stacy isn’t feeling very well- she is run down and is getting cold or the flu. James’s dad is pretty down and I think he is going to have to be checked out. Annie at 2/18/2001 03:04:00 p.m. This is the last regular season play for soccer for Monica . They won almost every game this season. This has been a great experience for her, she learned so much from so many of the guys who were more than happy to teach her. That Chris guy, is a real character. He still wants to play goal and as soon as the ball comes near it he cowers and ducks away from the ball. When he had his broken arm and couldn’t play we were unstoppable as a team. There isn’t one game he didn’t cry in. It is funny but when he talks about soccer at school, Monica says he tells everyone how good he is. At least he thinks so! Annie at 2/17/2001 12:02:00 p.m. PA day off Stacy, I know, another letter but this one is a good one so don’t worry. I just want you to know how proud I am of you for trying so hard to keep Jake as a friend. On Valentines Day I realized what a special guy he really is. I always knew he was a good person but really he is a keeper. From what his card says you guys must have been fighting about something but it looks like he wants to put all that behind you and really be friends. When I say he is one in a million, Stacy, you got to believe me he would probably be one of your best friends if you let him. It is hard to define what a friend is. To me it is someone you talk to a lot. Someone who wants to be with you just because you are you; Someone that you can be entertained with. Someone that you have something in common with and also have dissimilar interest, some you can call up and say lets hang out or he can call up and say the same thing, a two way street. A concern that I have is that you don’t let a lot of people close to you. An example when you were friends with Josh, Heather and Gemma, you would rather sit home alone rather that be with all your friends if Kevin was there. I don’t blame you for disliking Kevin but you would cut yourself off all your friends just so that you wouldn’t have to be near him. In your life you will meet a lot of people that you don’t like but that should never interfere with the friendship you want to make. Now with Jake, if you go somewhere with him as a friend and there happens to be people there that you don’t care for, so what, go out with them anyway. Some of his friends might not trust you right now but as time goes on they will see you differently. Like Sean and the present, remember? What Jake represents to me is your ability to go out a lot and have a lot of different experiences. He and his friends hang out with a lot of different girls and they easily maintain friendships with them. This is good. This is what you need. It breaks my heart that you don’t go out very much and even though you train a lot you could go out more. Like hanging out with people right after school even like for an hour. You need more people in your life and you know that I would pick you up if that’s what you needed. I don’t mean you going to Amy’s house and to Lee’s house. That is doing the same thing over and over again and it get boring and you don’t get to have new experiences. I mean a bunch of you going to someone’s house or party or bowling (even though you say you don’t like bowling there is a lot more going on that just bowling and you would have fun) or going to Restaurants with a bunch of people, going golfing even though you might suck…. just a lot of experiences. You might go to 5 parties where it is not so good of time and then you will go to 5 parties that are so much fun that you can’t believe it. You never know unless you try. Be adventuresome; hang out with a group of girls and guys. Get to know human nature and then you can learn who are the good people and, who to trust and actually see through people who try pull fast ones on you. As far as Darren goes’ to me he is someone who I wanted you to see through but it didn’t work. Like I said before, he should never have started phoning you when you were going out with Jake. He might have been saying he wanted to be friends but friends don’t phone 5 times a day. He talked at you constantly talked at you when you were at your most vulnerable. The days after you and Jake split, you know before school started, you didn’t sleep for days. When people don’t sleep they can’t think right and technically that is when people can be “brainwashed”—they believe everything people say to them, which included him telling you that it wasn’t him spreading the rumours. Remember when you replied to Jessie when he said he didn’t like you for being a liar. You apologized for something that you hadn’t done and you shouldn’t have said sorry. You were taking heat from people and you accepted it. You shouldn’t have-you should stick up for yourself. Jake has passed all the tests of a truly good and trusting person. He has been there always –through the “I can’t decide between you or Derrick(he didn’t stick around, he found a girl right away even though he was still after you), “Promise me no drugs”, “my parents won’t let me date”, “I think Darren is hot” (he probably won’t stick around- because he didn’t really want to be friends) You might not think of him as boyfriend now or not ever but he is a quality person, who stuck by you through all the shit, all the soap opera and still wants to begin a friendship. One thing you have to learn from friendship and dating is that it can’t be all one way. You have to contribute and put an effort in all the time. You can’t sit back and wait for them to have ideas on what to do and where to go. That is why I mentioned to you to get Jake to catch for you at pitching clinic- you’d ask him what he was doing but never did tell him why you wanted to know. Ask him, “Lets go to a movie with a bunch of us”, or “lets go to the mall” or “are you going to help me with driving for g1” or “lets go for a walk on the waterfront” or “run with me at the track tonight” or “can I go to your game” or “I’d like to see you reff.”.. anything-even if it feels weird it is putting in an effort. Stacy, you need to get out more, have more fun. Be with a friend that you can trust. Someone like Jake, you could know him forever, you can get to know a lot of people. Eventually you will have a lot of good friends and know how to trust the right people. By the way whoever the person(s) was who told you Jake used to never have friends, why was he always putting him down? That is the kind of friend to be leery of. The rest of Jake friends like him so much that they try to protect him, even though they should have backed off. They care a lot for him. Nadia went to the movie Head Over Heels with Natasha, Dianne, Crystal, Kadeshia so they could see Freddie Prince Jr.. Annie at 2/16/2001 04:58:00 p.m. Today was the annual Valentines Toy and Bake sale. Lori, Jan, Laurie, Marita, and I held it. Lori told me that her brother is so impressed with Nadia’s web page that whenever people ask questions about him for Refereeing he refers them to her web page. It is condensed from the 16 pages that she copied from their conversation and she condensed it for her hockey magazine and her web page. I got an autograpphed Vancouver Canucks hockey puck in the Toy Sale so I grabbed it. Jake came over today with a rose and a card, saying he is ready to start the friendship so I guess they must have been fighting or arguing about something. I like him. Stacy said that it has been hard to see him at school because he says that he is going to talk to her (like when he went on that trip last month and tried to say goodbye to her) but then he seems too shy or uncomfortable to see her- just waves or something. With the combination of them both being this way (she doesn’t have to tell me this, I know it must be hard for her too) it must be awkward. I hope they can get to be real friends again. Jamesand I did the annual dinner out with Mark and Carrie and this time the food was really good-$195.40 for the two of us. As good as it was I can’t justify the price so next year we will pass. Sorry Mark and Carrie. I drank wine- I really can’t drink wine. I didn’t have very much but boy does it affect me. Every time I drink it I end up having to put my feet on the floor when I am in bed to stop the room form spinning instead of Jamesmaking the room spin with me! Annie at 2/14/2001 03:53:00 p.m. Nadia and Derrick went to a movie together tonight- Hannibal! I think that this is one of the first times the plans didn’t fall through. Usually he cancels out on her at the last minute. I am a little leery of him, because I don’t want Nadia to be hurt and have her hopes come crashing down on her. Nadia says he doesn’t really hang around with anyone, he has an older brother I guess he hangs out with. He lives out in the boonies on out skirts of town so I imagine it would be harder to socialize. Annie at 2/13/2001 04:50:00 p.m. Brent started his co-op at the School Board Maintenance Department. He will be traveling from school to school fixing the computer network. They pick him up right from Central and drop him off at home. All right! I thanked my neighbour for verifying April and Josh’s stories and told the teacher about it and asked that they not be included in groups at all. I had to do this other years when April was in lst years class too. It was so bad last year that the teacher wrote home about them and I went to the bully's mom and told her that I didn’t think it was a good idea for them to even talk to each other so the school already knows that they have bad history together. I am proud of April for trying to protect someone else. It must have been scary for both of them. It’s been great having Amy and Josh help at pitching clinic but we are all sick of Chantell. April asked her to catch for her and she is putting April down at every chance and the car ride is practically unbearable with her. Amy and Josh both say how much they dislike her. She says that she wants to pitch here too so hopefully that will happen. I don’t mind catching again for them. I am getting better at it every year (cough cough). Annie at 2/12/2001 03:46:00 p.m. There was an altercation between Josh Kegs, the neighbourhood bully and April and a neighbour saw it. Josh Kegs tried to protect April from a snow shovel by grabbing it while the bully took a swing at April. He then turned on Josh Kegs and tried to hit him with the shovel but April prevented it. Somehow the bullys parents feel that the boy was justified in what he did, I don’t understand how he turned that story around. James came home today from Florida with the boys. He got in a lot of golfing. Peter had them try flats fishing and James loved it. Annie at 2/11/2001 04:45:00 p.m. Nadia had an appointment with at Tim Horton’s today for the Web page for she is being paid to make! I guess it is finally going to happen. Annie at 2/10/2001 11:42:00 a.m. Thursday was horrible. I have never driven in a snowstorm that was so bad. Normally I wouldn’t have gone out but there were things I had to do. I ended up driving all day and it was so scary. I don't know how many times I drove up the road sideways or fishtailing. I bounced off a snow bank and slid in-between a jackknifed tractor-trailer and a snow bank. Either I would get stuck or people in front of me. So many people got stuck in front of my house and we would put a towel under their tires for grip. Stacy had an appointment in Oshawa so I had to be out in it. I drove Brent to school in Oshawa because Adam’s parents wouldn’t let him drive and his guidance councillor said under no circumstances was he to miss any school. We stopped off at Golden Griddle for Breakfast. I told Stacy that I didn’t want that Darren (jerk) phoning her anymore, to cut him loose. She actually seemed relieved when I said that and we had a great day together. We got stuck in the parking lot but managed to finally escape! James is supposed to be going to Florida today but he is stuck at the airport until it is clear. He has been there since early morning. Poor guy. Annie at 2/08/2001 11:41:00 a.m. With Nadia’s new semester she doesn’t have any classes in the afternoon. Therefore she should be able to find a half-decent part time job. We started a new session of pitching clinic for Monica, with Lloyd in charge this time, and Mel is the pitching coach. It is not good- in fact so many kids are packed into the old school gym that I consider it dangerous. I know Mel and he is going to try to teach the kids “Stuff” and with limited space, I can see someone getting hurt. We have already told Monica to forget the stuff because we don’t want her elbow getting injured and concentrate on speed and accuracy. As soon as it is over, we have no time to chat, we have to rush over to the Catholic school for Basketball! Nadia’s pitching clinic follows Monica but luckily Hannah will be helping her out with driving and catching. Annie at 2/06/2001 11:40:00 p.m. I found a picture on my computer and I can only imagine that it is that Darren guy. I think he is getting closer to Stacy. The school keeps phoning to say that Brent is not attending his classes. I keep phoning back to say that he changed all his courses but they don’t seem to have that on record and are counting him away on the courses he is not taking! I really wish Brent was near Stacy at school. He has always protected her from guys whether she knew it or not and now Brent is not there when this guy is mouthing off about her. It is pretty bad when stories come back to me and there is no chance what so ever of this jerk Darren being near her to do anything. I am so sick of this. Even if Brent was there for part of the day would help but he doesn’t know what is going on. I told him before to ease off and let her fight her own battles, now I wish I hadn’t. Vanessa- Thanks for the pics Annie!!! Oh My God!!!! Stacy is absolutely "drop dead gorgeous"!!! Do any of your kids still do the commercial/ad thing? Is this what these pics are from? Annie- No they don't do adds that is a real rip off. When my girls turn 15, I send them to Glamour Shots. They didn't have any clothes that would fit her, so they pinned them on her and they kind of hang off her. I wish we had brought our own clothes. It would have been better April came on her period for the first time- at 12 years of age. She didn’t complain about it at all, took it all in stride – no cramps, nothing. April can be a real trouper when she wants to be! Annie at 2/05/2001 01:37:00 p.m. Annie- My back is so sore today because when I am on my period I don't move in my bed. Two of my girls take the pill (not for the sex part) and if ever one of them misses their pill and come on, so do I and they know it. I think they are getting back at me for something! The main problem is that I have it so often but since my girls went on the pill I follow their cycle and that has been a real blessing. Nadia gets major pain so that is why she is on it and Stacy needs it for track and field. When you are running especially long distances you are putting everything you have into and sometimes it brings on your period and because runners are so lean they don't follow much of a pattern, so they don't know their schedule. I don't know it was explained to me a couple of years ago and I thought no way I won’t let her do that and then in a real important race she was in third place and coming up to her strong part of her race. We knew she could win, then she felt big time pain and came on. She ended up in 15th. Vanessa - oh, kinda remember hearing something about that before, so, this way then she is regulated then right? Annie- Yes and it is very light. I never told her it was for birth control too. She just knew it was to regulate her period. At first they were giving her expired pills because she didn’t need the birth control effects. When the doctor saw she had a boyfriend last summer I had to sneak the expired pills back, tell her what she was on and finally talk to her about the facts of life. She refused to listen before so when she finally had a boyfriend that I knew she really liked, I said she wasn’t allowed to see him again until I told her everything. Believe me when I tell you she didn’t have a clue. When I told her certain things she would nod 'ohhhh', like finally I know what people were talking about. Real wide eyed- you can’t fake that. Vanessa - still have snow there? Annie - That’s funny I was just typing how much snow do you have. Yes lots of snow. The most we have ever had in the 12 years we have here- it is like a sheltered microclimate. We never get as much rain, snow or bad weather but this year we almost have as much as everyone else does. My brother in law was giving me heck last night for letting Brent and Nadia stay out too late. He asked both of them what time they came home the night before and they both said around 2. What my bro in law doesn't realize is that they both don't go out that much and their curfew depends on whom they are with. Vanessa - were they home at 2??? Annie - Yeah they came home at 2 but Nadia left our house around 10 so I knew she had to be late and we usually wait up for them. Brent phoned after 12 so he checks in pretty good. Vanessa - Most of my kids have gone to some kind of program sponsored by the College and they are a class act place. They joke that they are trying to recruit some of my girls so they can represent them in sports. It’s kind of funny. I would even like Nadia to go there but she wants University. Annie - Good, my weight changes all the time. Right now I keep losing without trying. Food isn’t all that appealing right now so I have to make sure I eat. I think it’s my nerves, you know the stuff that’s happening with Stacy. Unfortunately I lost 7 pounds last week so people are after me but I know it will come back on by itself. I have always been that way. Vanessa - you are under weight then?? I put some lbs. on but seem to be at a stand still now, I’m happy this way, but can't lose the gut!!!!! Annie - If I weighed 5 more pounds I'd be at the perfect weight. When I lose more you can see it in my face too much Nadia has lost a lot of weight. It is strange but when someone loses a lot you think of them at the same weight but when I see her from a distance its like wow where did she go? Now all she has to do is exercise- the E word Annie - I just sent an email with pictures I hope it worked. Annie at 2/04/2001 04:29:00 a.m. It has been a little busy here. James's parents just had their 50th wedding anniversary today. Fifty years together, I sure hope that James and I are healthy enough to make that anniversary. In mind I know we will make it, we will be together for eternity. I just hope in body, we will be there! We all went to Toni and Ken’s 10,000 square foot home, about 40 of us. It was alot of fun because they’re such great people-people that you want to be like when you there age It was good, Lari and Ryan announced that they are engaged, a big bright note in the celebration. Ryan is Lari’s first boyfriend and he has been at all our functions since they first went out- he is already a part of all of our lives. But it was also a little sad sometimes. You look at James's dad and realize he might not be here soon it hurts. They were giving a little toast and you know when you catch your breath cos you are trying to hold back tears, I did it a little loud and people heard. His dad is 78 but a young one, they are total partiers and soooo much fun to be with. The house that we went to is amazing. It has a huge indoor pool, hot tub and sauna in the house. The house never feels like there are many people in it. They plan on selling it for $1.3 million. Hard to imagine eh, a completely different life style than us. Everything feels so small in our house and so inexpensive but it’s the quality inside the house that we have to remember and I love my life! Annie at 2/03/2001 04:26:00 a.m. It was pretty icy on the roads this morning on the way to the High School. It took over a half and hour to get the girls to School. The bridge was backed up and you almost had to take a run at the hill! James bought Nortel stock, 100 shares for $5500. We first got involved with the Nortel stock when BE split. We drove Stacy up to to supervise a dance for money toward her trip to Florida. After the 40 minute drive we stopped and Stacy asked for directions at a gas station. The guy really had eyes for Stacy and had a hyper fit when Stacy left. It was funny. We had dinner at the local town Pub and it was gross. I went in to the school to get Stacy and James moved the car and I ended up going back to another car. I’ll get him back. Revenge is sweet. Nadia went out with her friends to a movie Traffic and restaurant to grab a quick late night snack and some conversation- I find it kind of neat that with all there studying (they are a studious bunch) that they can find time to relax. I never question Nadia about where she is going, I trust her and her friends completely. Maybe not Jen, but she doesn’t seem to hang around with her as much. Brent phoned around 12, he is at Adam’s. I am happy he phoned me, I was asking him to because lately it seems like he doesn’t want anyone to know about his personal life and I miss him. Brent spends so much time there and he has even told me that Adam’s parents have a guest room where Brent stays and Adam’s mom (April) even writes him little notes reminding him to make his bed. I guess it is like having a brother to Adam but it bothers me sometimes that he is always over there. Annie at 2/02/2001 04:24:00 a.m. New semester Deadline for College applications Brent put a scare in us this semester. I had a little chat with him the day before the semester started. *&^$* or get off the pot speech. He is smart but as always puts in enough to pass- that’s it and he was fast tracking so he wouldn't graduate the same year as Stacy. When you add skipping into it.-you know, he was going nowhere. Today I was picking the kids up from the high school & some kids passed yelling that "Edwards" had quit school. The girls both confirmed it. I was like "what part of our little conversation did you not get?" Turns out, he was listening and is now at a Cicso Networking course at another school. In the afternoon he has a co-op that involves networking & electronics so he is doing what he loves & is not skipping. (I think!) Brent sudden change of schools to one in the city is so that he can take a course in computers. Hopefully they will classify him as a full time student here in the afternoon. The city school is very rough and they say it is like an inner-city school with a lot of poor people going there so I don't like the idea but the course is perfect for him. Apparently he is guaranteed a $60,000 job after graduating but it is my job to worry. I always thought of him going to University and although he is smart he doesn't put out the effort even if he likes what he is doing. He is an excellent worker when it is expected of him so I am proud of him The guidance counsellor gave Adam and Brent a very hard time about it but they told her they had arranged it themselves. She said that they couldn’t take any time off even if it’s life or death. Apparently she was yelling at them in the hall. Annie at 2/01/2001 04:21:00 a.m.
