Peaces Of Me++++
++++ The miles just keep rollin as the people leave there way to say hello I've heard this life is overrated but I hope that it gets better as we go |
August 30/00 Winners There was a race at the Rec Center and we entered Stacy and Monica in it. Colleen coordinated it and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Stacy and Monica both came first in there division. There was a problem with some people going the wrong way and so some people went almost twice as far as they should have! The cops steered them in the wrong direction. I met a girl there who was nice to me until she realized that I was Stacy's mother and then I got 'The Look'. I told Stacy about it and she said that this girl has liked Jess for a long time so I guess that Stacy is the competition. Annie at 8/31/2000 04:25:00 a.m. Nadia went to the movie Coyote Ugly with Natasha, Catrina, Katie, Jenn, and Nicole. Nadia loved the music in this and came home and downloaded all the songs and played them for me. Some of them are very good, even Grampa will like them because some are sung by Leanne Rymes his favourite! Annie at 8/30/2000 02:23:00 a.m. Driving days I took Brent to get his G1 today. We didn't have a proper birth certificate for him so I had to go buy one, so I got Stacy's too. He went to pay for his license and the woman was surprised when he pulled the money out of his own pocket. She said it was nice to see a teenager pay for themselves that usually the parents pay. James and I figured that our children had years to save for their licence and it would be accomplishment for them to achieve for themselves. The fact that they used their own money would give them a sense of responsibility, what we all want from our young drivers! He was proud to pay for himself and proud that he got perfect. Annie at 8/29/2000 03:21:00 a.m. Red Necks James bought a new trailer hitch for our new van. We gave Dave our old one. We had some grogs in his garage with the neighbours. Some people in other neighbourhoods have remarked at how red necked it is to socialize in someone's garage but this area has always been friendly and I would rather live in this environment where the kids and the parents all mingle no matter what the age difference, I enjoy it here so much. Annie at 8/28/2000 02:20:00 a.m. Trouble in Paradise Jess came to watch Stacy's championships with Nadia and me but he wasn't his normal self, kind of antsy and distant. He is usually quite talkative and very friendly and we have talked about many subjects over the many hours we have been together at the baseball diamond watching Stacy play. I hope he is all right and nothing is wrong with him. It might be because for the first time ever Stacy picked going out with her friends over seeing Jess the other day. She has not been with her girlfriends all summer and they all made a lot of plans without her. She had plans with Jess and Jodi phoned, complained that she hadn't seen her all summer and insisted that Stacy come out with her, even said that she would phone Jess if Stacy didn't. So Stacy went out with the girls. I think it really bothered Jess and maybe that is why he is being so quiet. Stacy's team won the play-offs! The one girl was called for illegal pitching. She has been pitching like that all season but the other team waited until the play- offs to complain. Therefore, it backfired because she wasn't any good anyway, so we got to use our two best pitchers without looking like we were leaving the one girl out. They had an awards ceremony and the girls on Stacy's team said that they voted for her for MVP but when the coach announced it, it went to his own daughter. Most of the girls on the team really looked puzzled. Oh well, what can you do but it has happened to Nadia before too. James was golfing in the morning, but came to the banquet later. The coach Steve gave James a present for helping with the coaching. Annie at 8/27/2000 04:18:00 a.m. Playoff Ploys Stacy played China's team in the play-offs and our coaches were being embarrassing. They wanted China out of the game. They said that she was injured and that they shouldn't play her. Without her they are a lot weaker. Our coaches should have stayed out of it. China's father is the assistant coach so they should know what China is capable of. We won anyway but it gave the game a really bad feeling. Afterward, coach from the other team came up to Stacy and said that she had an excellent year in baseball and he was very impressed with her pitching. That was so classy of him. Stacy said that she wants to be on his team next year. Annie at 8/26/2000 02:16:00 a.m. Blocking out I took Stacy and Monica to The Lakefront to run the path and I walked quite a ways behind. When we were in the grassy area, where the path turns into high grassy field, I noticed in the distance 2 guys watching them and when the girls past them the one guy leaned over into Stacy's path so that she had to veer, and you could see that he was saying things to her but I was too far in the distance to hear anything. My girls kept running and as I got closer to the guys they were still talking about her. The one guy was trying to talk the other guy into catching up to her and said that he couldn't because there was a little kid with the girl. The other mouthy guy kept yelling "Oh yeah I want her come back to me baby, lets go get her" and other things that left no room for imagination as to what he wanted to do to her. I could still only see there shoulders and heads at this time because of the tall grass and my girls where out of visual range, but when the boys came in full view of me the one guy was still spazzing out about Stacy. I gave him a disgusted look but he just looked right through me and the other guy looked embarrassed. He was actually holding the guys arm trying to turn him the opposite way that Stacy and Monica had gone. It really made my stomach turn and I tried to run after my girls. When I finally caught up to them, they were resting in the pagoda and I ask Stacy about what the guys had said and done. She looked at me strangely and said "What guys? I don't know what you are talking about." And then she would turn and look towards the water. I kept questioning her about it but she ignored me the whole time so I turned to Monica and said, "Monica I hate to ask you this but could you please tell me what happened and what the boys said?" Monica went into detail and it wasn't pretty. I can't believe that Stacy is trying to block things like that out. She has to learn to deal with it and not pretend that nothing happened. It is not healthy and it really bothers me and it is not the first time she has tried to block something out. She did that at Jess's soccer game too. Annie at 8/25/2000 04:12:00 a.m. Took Nadia to Lone Star Cafe with her friends, Natasha and Susan for her Birthday- #18. The food and the service was lousy. The waitress kept spilling on us, especially the littlest one, Monica. I won't be going back. April was teasing Nadia's friends, which seems weird to me because when I was April's age I would be too afraid to bother teenagers. Nadia is acting distant- like we did something wrong for not taking her on our trip. We want her to get a job and she is digging in her heels. She was supposed to inquire about a lifegaurding job, they are waiting for her to phone because I talked to Colleen about it. They said that in the interview she was acting like she doesn't want it so I don't know. We opened the door for her, so now it is up to her, we can't force her to apply again. We watched some of the Survivor show. It is the last one, some of us watched all of them but I don't really enjoy them so I just watched to see what everyone would be talking about. Annie at 8/24/2000 04:10:00 a.m. We traded in the vans and leased one new Grey van and James bought a car – a black Grand Am. When I went to hand in my 2 sets of keys, one went missing. James must be doing the middle age thing because he sure loves his car! It is so strange, Brent and Adam and Dan were hanging around with Brandon Alexio a lot this year, almost every day at Brandon's house and since we have been home from our trip, not once. He has a new girlfriend, Adam's old girlfriend so I wonder if that has anything to do with them not all hanging around. Annie at 8/23/2000 02:09:00 a.m. Stacy is at Volleyball Camp this week. She didn't enjoy it as much as she did other years and I won't encourage her to go next year. She was one of the stronger players and there were a lot of competitions, but it wasn't the same, and mostly girls. We have been looking at new automobiles, this time James wants a sports car. I want two Vans like we always have done in the past but I guess every man wants a sports car – you know what they say... middle age crisis. At least my crisis was short and inexpensive- going to bars, line dancing and wanting to ride a Harley. I hate trying to deal with car salesman, this one never phones when he says he is going to, says he is going to give us something and then says he can't do it. I hate looking for new vehicles ever since the one salesman was so inept that he tried to sell us the basic models for a high price and when he got caught showed us top of the line for the same price- unfortunately in front of his boss and got fired. Marie was no good for the final in Midget and they lost the final. Bruce was right, Marie couldn't pitch 2 days in a row. It is Bob's own fault. It is getting harder to get Brent to mow the lawn, we pay him but this year he is procrastinating – a lot. Last year he did it faithfully. Annie at 8/22/2000 04:07:00 a.m. Coaching problems Nadia had her select baseall tournament. They didn't have enough players so they called up some house leaguers. Bob told Nadia that he needed her to pitch most of the games and then he ended up with her sharing the pitching with Marie and Shannon- I don't think Shannon enjoyed that part of it and Nadia was very angry. The only thing that seemed to keep Nadia's mind in the game was that Derrick was playing on the diamond next to us so that distracted her. He is the guy that she has been talking to on the Internet all summer and she really thinks a lot of him. I heard other parents asking each other and me why he wasn't using Nadia most of the time because she is a work horse, we have all seen her do it, no one could figure it out. Even Bruce was concerned that Bob was going to burn out Marie but he listened to no one. They came in 3rd. James was golfing with the league. Taming April After we went to Gramma's and Grandpa's for a swim. We decided that no matter how funny April can be, we can't encourage her to be funny all the time, especially when it is about sex. She will say anything to be entertaining and is very good at jokes in bad taste. A few minutes later she called to us from the pool and asked us if we knew the different stages of the moon. We kind of looked at her weird, like what are you getting at and so she proceeded to expose one side of her cheek and called it a quarter moon. She showed us her half moon as she came up through the water and would resurface and dart to the bottom of the pool after pushing her bum up through the water! Then she mooned us with her full moon, both cheeks exposed. It caught us of guard and we laughed so hard we were crying. What are we going to do with her? Stacy went to see a movie with Jess. They saw the Replacements, and she really loved it. They have been going out 3 months today. Annie at 8/21/2000 04:03:00 a.m. Winning attitude Stacy's baseball team placed first in the season and started the playoff today. The assistant coach has been on holidays for the last couple of weeks and James took his place by coaching 3rd base. They have responded to his coaching style and they have been very vocal about how much he encourages them The girls didn't want the returning coach on third base, they wanted James! James backed right away, told the girls that it wasn't his place, that the old coach had to go back to 3rd base but he was flattered that they wanted him so much. I told James that since it is the girls asking him and not the coach he should do it. The coach surrendered his post so everyone was happy. James can be so positive that you swear that the kids have tails and are furiously wagging those tails with his every word! Big Al took April and her house league team to the Blue Jay game and they had a wonderful day. Unfortunately, Monica couldn't go because she had a select tournament in Brampton. They let them run the bases at the Skydome. Annie at 8/20/2000 04:49:00 a.m. Broken locks Stacy broke our door lever to the bedroom after she came home from Jess's. She has been pretty persistent that James and I don't shut and lock our bedroom door at night. We have had to double lock it but somehow she broke the lever trying to break our door down! I don't know if she is trying to catch us or prevent us but it is quite comical. James can't believe that his little Stacy is doing this, but I think it is because there has been given a lot of info about sex in the last couple of months. I wish we had prepared her a little, no a lot better, and insisted that she listen to the facts of life talks that she avoided at home and at school. From not having a clue about it, to having a real healthy looking guy...well After practice Joe had a pool party. Monica wasn't there at the start because she had volleyball so I brought her later. I asked the kids if they would sing some of their baseball songs on a tape recorder and hopefully I can put it on their video. They had a lot of fun making it and they were all pretty happy to see Monica when she came. Sometimes it is hard to be involved in so many things at once. Annie at 8/19/2000 04:58:00 a.m. Caught? Stacy went over to Jess's house for the evening. James and I were having a wrestling match in bed , screaming and laughing when all of a sudden we heard Stacy and Jess outside saying goodbye to each other. We tried to be quiet, trying to suppress our laughter but you know how futile that is when you are laughing when you shouldn't be? We both had our hands over each other's mouths. I hope they didn't hear us! Annie at 8/18/2000 03:52:00 a.m. Baseball finals Stacy had two baseball games tonight to decide on who was in first for the season. They won the first game so that put them in first and the other team had to play the next game for their teams position too. They lost the second game, Stacy got hit in the foot but she is all right. Annie at 8/17/2000 01:48:00 a.m. Escalating feelings Stacy went to Jessie's house but she seemed really tense and upset when she came home. I am assuming that there relationship has escalated into something more physical or else it is leaning towards that. I believe this stage is confusing Stacy. I have told Jessie's parents that this is my daughter's first real boyfriend and that I would feel more comfortable if they were not home alone. Stacy has been honest with me, they do have time alone in his room where the TV is and I appreciate her honesty. We have had so many talks lately about relationships and I know that she is conscious about how Jessie feels, how important the physical side is to the guys. They need to experience more than just being together, more than just watching TV and I am encouraging that. I want them to associate with his friends and hers but that hasn't been happening very much at all. I wish that sometimes he would come over here for a change but maybe 2 or 3 times has he ever done that. It would feel more of an even relationship if he did. But they are so young, they have a lot to learn. In a teen's relationship, this is already a long time and Stacy says that he says they are going to be like his parents. I guess they got together when they were in high school and it can work. It did with Susan and Craig (they have been together sine grade 7), but all there life's lesson will be on each other so I hope they can manage it if that is what they want. It will be hard though and very unlikely but you can't tell kids what they don't want to hear. Nadia and Natasha went to the CN tower (Finally after broken promises and lost money she gets to go there!) and a Blue Jays game. Annie at 8/16/2000 04:45:00 a.m. Sporting day Monica and April at Volleyball camp. Monica was hurting from Baseball but still wanted to compete so that she would get in with the older kids. She didn't want to have to use the little net and she did make it in with the older girls. Monica is so aggressive in sports and so driven. Nadia's last baseball game. They are out of the play-offs now. Nadia got MVP. James was feeling sick so he couldn't stay! They jokingly blamed him saying that every time he misses a game, they lose. Stacy was a call up. I love it when they are on the same team. Nadia really enjoyed James coaching her and Nadia's teammates have even asked if he could coach them again. Annie at 8/15/2000 04:42:00 a.m. Paths not crossing What a zoo it was today. I was at Monica's baseball game in Whitby, Stacy was to be finished the summer games at 12 and then I was to go to a game in Ajax and then back to Whitby. It should have been perfect timing for my connections but a train crossing stopped me for half an hour- it kept shunting back and forth across the road. When I finally got to Track I couldn't find Stacy anywhere and I asked so many people. Finally I found her at home- she had phoned Gramma and Grandpa when I didn't show. She was quite upset but I didn't forget her and I missed out on the game in Ajax. Brent was supposed to have a football game in Markham but he didn't want to go because he missed too many practices in our vacation and he wouldn't know the plays. He says he is finished for the season. We have to make a decision about having a ski membership this year. Even though I think we really should, I can't justify the cost judging on how much we went last year. The weather was too mild and it was mostly artificial snow last year and we hardly went at all. It is tough making a winter decision now when it is summer. I guess this is the end of our skiing era. At least Stacy gets to go a lot with Gemma since her dad is with the ski patrol, and Heather. They didn't really go a lot last year, they don't hang around that much anymore. Last year Gemma backed out of skiing, saying she was sick again, so I don't know what will happen with the skiing. Annie at 8/14/2000 04:30:00 a.m. Summer games Stacy volunteered for the Ontario Summer games for the track and field. Gord is supervising. We had to get a criminal record search for the games so that they know that Stacy is not a bad ass! Nadia has a tournament in Milton. She doesn't understand about the drinking on our trip. I tried to tell her that they only had too much one night and that I was trying to show them when to stop, and that I did it out of concern. The stories I have been hearing about them shows me that their crowd is experimenting with it now and they are getting dangerously drunk. They are drinking in parks, and creeks where there is no one there to watch over them. If I can have any input on how they drink, then maybe I can save them a lot of grief when the parents aren't there. The only thing Nadia is getting out of it is "Way to go mom, you let them drink in a foreign country where the drinking age is even higher than it is here." That never occurred to me. April is back to her old self. The fact that she stood up to me might hopefully help her with some of the girls like Laura and Chelsea who tend to walk all over her. I hope she learns how to defend herself verbally and not get taken advantage of. Annie at 8/13/2000 04:20:00 a.m. Coming to Blows April and I came to blows today and it really upset James. I see it as April growing up and her hormones kicking in. April is very laid back, good natured but she shows other people a tough exterior. I know that her feelings can get very hurt, but she doesn't show it to other people. When she does get into altercations she usually has bad dreams about so I feel like I really know April. I wanted April to clean up a spot in the basement that I knew she was partly responsible for. It was the computer games all spread out in front of the TV. I know it was her mess because she plays with the games the most especially after being cooped up in a trailer on our vacations, that is how she unwinds. The kids have been good about keeping the basement clean since we remodelled it in the spring so I want it always to be clean. She didn't want to be the only one to clean up so we argued about it and she started yelling so I started yelling. That is how James got involved. We have very little yelling in our home, people that know us well have even commented on how that can be possible. I have to stand up to her yelling so I yelled back. James thought I was too hard on her but I have to be winning these little battles now before she is a big teenager, I have to set the boundaries. She will be ok. James doesn't trust our Van anymore (because the one we were going to keep after the leased is possessed) so he wants to trade them in. We are talking to a new guy at GM, James used to golf with him. Stacy went to a movie with Jessie, Hollowman. Annie at 8/12/2000 04:03:00 a.m. Party Crashers We phoned Nadia at home, we knew she was planning a party, so we were just doing a friendly hello. Nadia was not there but everyone else was- there was a party going on without my daughter! She had a play-off game but her friends are good and I wasn't worried about that. Some kids tried to crash the party - about 30 of them, but they were asked to leave when the guys realized that they didn't know Nadia. Unfortunately one of Nadia's friends Crystal had a fight with her boyfriend, on our driveway, I don't like the neighbours to have to hear our parties. Annie at 8/08/2000 04:49:00 a.m. Annual Camping trip We had the Annual Camping trip with Mark and Carrie and family to the States. This year we called it 'the best of' - all the good parts of the trips we have done in the past five years. We all loved Watkins Glenn but as usual no one wanted to see the racing cars except me. I don't see how they can not be attracted to all the commotion that this town brings. The shops are all about the race even the pop machine has a life size life like picture of the racer Dale Earnhardt. The town feels alive with excitement. They say that there is nothing there to see, the big race is coming up soon. But you wake up to the feel of the rumble of the cars, you can feel the vibrations inside of you. I want to see the track, I don't even know if it is open to the public I would even like to be near it, just to see them practice. I know that I don't know all that much about it but why should that stop us from seeing something new and different. Besides, the sound reminds me of my Uncle Bob and how he loved to take me to the stock car racing, just him and me. It's a nice memory. You can really see that my family has grown up a lot. Michael and Monica, being the same age, wanted to spend more time together and it was hard for Erika to understand, because Monica has always been more than happy to play 'Barbie's' with her. This time the social aspect with Michael was more important to Monica. Michael, previously always with Brent, even though the age difference was vastly different, read a lot more. It was nice to see them interacting, although it was different and often you would see a delighted Erika on Brent's shoulders. I guess when you reach the mid teens it is harder to relate to the younger kids and the teens wanted our company more than they used to too. April and Monica were extremely close to each other and actually preferred each other's company. It was so nice to see, they usually can play very hard together but they seem to fight well together too. This time Monica and April were best buddies- a parents dream! I guess it was the hardest on Erika. Nadia didn't come with us this time because baseball play offs so we invited Dan, Brent's friend. I got to know him better this summer with summer school so I thought that he would fit in with everybody and he did. We started off setting up our first campsite in the pouring rain, so bad that you wanted just to drive home. The guys were pretty good about it Brent's hair gel got into his eyes from the teaming rain. The girls stayed in the van while the guys got the tarp up. Brent is such a good worker- no one tells him what to do, he just knows. Once we did that we had some drinks and the rain just stopped. Unfortunately the rain affected the wiring in our van and the van was possessed for the rest of the trip. The locks would open and shut by themselves or lock us out. Darien Lake was great. It was nice to let the teenagers come and go to the park as they pleased. Monica chickened out on the Superman ride at Darien Lake, so we went back the next day but there was a huge line up. Monica will probably only remember that she couldn't go on that ride rather than all the rides she went on. Stacy felt homesick for Jessie and when she phoned Dan wouldn't let them talk in private. We had to lock her in the van for privacy and even then the possessed van let him in through the trunk. Unfortunately Jessie was acting different on the phone with her and she got real quiet for quite a while. One campground was different. There was a group of cheerleaders right across from our campsite and they practiced every chance they could, much to the appreciation of our male campers. We went to a swimming pool and the cheerleaders were right beside us, this time in bathing suits, so Dan and Brent were happy. The cheerleaders left pretty soon and were replaced by two girls who couldn't get enough of our boys. They flaunted their bodies in front of them, actually turned from the pool, and sat facing the boys! Brent and Dan sure weren't interested at all. The girls wouldn't leave them alone and it got to the point the Brent and Dan were hiding behind Stacy to fend them off. Just when they thought the coast was clear, that they had gotten rid of them, the girls spotted them and Dan let out a yelp like a girl as he hid behind Stacy again. Very comical. I have heard about Dan's drinking from his friends, that he is not very good at it. I know Brent has had his share of bad experiences with drinking so I thought that there might be an opportunity to help them learn how to handle booze under my care. I know I am taking a chance but they were right with me and I didn't let them get carried away. I had a friend die by drowning in his own vomit because he was so drunk, and maybe if he knew his limit it would never have happened so I hope I did the right thing. One night I gave Dan one Mike's Hard Lemonade and he eagerly chugged it down in a few gulps. He immediately stood up, lost his balance, and stumbled near the campfire, but he was all right. In his imagination I don't think he would have ever thought that one drink could affect him like that. I hope he learned and just didn't think it was all a huge party. Dan seemed to like Stacy a lot, the closer he tried to get to her the more he teased her, the more upset she became with him. The normal way she handles male attention is to completely ignore the guy, but this was too uncomfortable to watch since we were all together, all the time, in close quarters. I had to talk to her about Dan, said that she couldn't ignore him, she had to be nice because he was Brent's friend and it was his holidays too, but it was hard. I found Dan, a couple times, standing right over her boldly staring down at her while she was sunbathing. He actually got jealous right in front of Stace and me when he heard her comment on some guys body in the gorge! He said that tall thin guys might not look much to her, but they were strong and brought up some street fighting movie as an example. Dan tired very hard for her attention, and his approach was to tease her- typical of that age. He teased her a lot about Jessie – made up a song 'Jessie the greatest guy in History' to a Flintstones song. Stacy was good at getting him back though. He was putting other drinks with his beer because he didn't like the taste of beer- it looked so gross. She made fun of it so he said "I'd like to see you try to drink it straight" With that she took a glass of beer and chugged it down in one go! Everyone laughed as she triumphantly wiped her face off with the back of her hand. My 14-year old - drinking beer- it happened so fast I couldn't even react but it was funny. Monica and April practiced there pitching most days and Stacy was their catcher. Dan went behind her in the bush to get any balls she might miss. Stacy got 'the look' on her face and purposely backed off some really hard pitches. Dan ended up getting hit by them, poor guy, it was quite funny, I don't even know if he realizes that she back away from them on purpose. April and Monica got very interested in accurate pitches at that moment. It was a lot of fun to watch. I watched them drink and even showed them what to pour and showed them where their happy place was. They were really having a great time until Dan snuck more drinks for him and Brent. I knew Dan drank and I thought I could teach him how to drink properly but he doesn't want to learn. "Musicians drink", he says. That extra drink put them over the edge- Brent wasn't too bad but Dan was. Therefore he was fair game when Stacy showed him how to Russian Arm wrestle. She pulled his fists down towards her and told him to try to bring them up towards his body. When he was really straining against her grip, she let go and he punched himself in his face with both fists. hehehe. Unfortunately he kept getting up out of the tent that night to pee and his favourite place to pee was on the hammock! God, I was praying for rain that night. I officially take Amerato off my favorite drink list. James bought some and I was so afraid of customs and him not declaring it that in my drunken mind it was my duty to dispose of 'the nectar of the gods' down my tummy. I woke up the next morning, with the memory of some guys big face in mine but I thought it was just a dream. Stacy told me otherwise. It seems I decided to pick an argument with a park ranger. I could have got us kicked out! He said something to me that he could be cuddly with me and I take offence to any affection guys try to give me when I am drunk- a leftover from my teenage years. At that, James and Mark came and dragged me away to safety. We went to one camp where they had 3 lifeguards in a contained area of the lake. Stacy was looking for shells and was crouched below the lifeguard on the tower. We watched as he motioned to the other guards to see Stacy and while the other lifeguards were watching him he climbed down and began to help her find the tiny shells. Soon one of the other lifeguards was over helping Stacy and unbelievably all 3 including the guy who should have been on the diving area was with Stacy surrounding her. Mark was just shaking his head. When a female lifeguard took over for one guy, Mark looked over to all of us and said, "She wants me". That ended up happening many times- a lot of pretty girls 'wanted Mark' and we all knew it or I should say Mark let us know it. He is a clown! The kids were swimming at a raft and this boy wouldn't stop talking and staring at Stacy so Brent said "OK that’s enough now go, bye", stuff like that and directed the guy away from Stacy. Brent was adamant that the boy was going to be nowhere near his sister. We couldn't hear what was being said but we all got the message, "get away from my sister!" The guy said they we were the meanest people he ever did see, "mean, mean, mean". Somehow they got talking about "purdy teeth" and those statements were kept up throughout the trip. Also, "That there is a squirrel dive." How would he think that statment would possibly impress Stacy? The first time I have ever seen Stace lose patience with an admirer was at the same beach, a good looking guy came up to her and tried to talk to her and tried to tell her that they had met before and she was short with him and said "No, I don't know you" and turned her back at him. She is totally oblivious to the affect she is having on guys. The last campsite, there weren't enough trees so there was no tarpage. We let Dan and Brent have a couple of drinks again, until I saw Dan sneak more so I went behind a tree and poured the rest of the rye away. It is not worth it if they don't follow simple rules. Dan was very talkative and told me about past girlfriends and the girls he likes. It is unusual but his best friend is a girl - Carlie. I can't wait to get home now! Annie at 8/03/2000 04:00:00 a.m.
